It makes my blood boil when I see the unfairness in the situation. They made us wait soo soo fu****** long as Uscis!! Now Nvc is backlogged!! Our marriages are dangling by thread and just because we wanted to follow rules!!! When I think about it it makes me so angry. It's been one and a half year since I saw my husband and everyday when I wake up it kills me to think that it's gonna be so much longer still. Why why!!! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - August 2014	His name and visa type were entered into the system incorrectly. Instead of (first) (middle middle) it was (first first first) with no middle name. He was also in the computer as a K1 visa instead of CR1. Between those two things it was impossible to get a Social Security number and green card. We bounced back and forth between CBP, USCIS and the Social Security office for over a month before the name issue was resolved   Now we're watching and waiting for the green card... betting that'll take a heap of work on our part too. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - August 2014	guys i had to collect 4 police report from 4 countries . but the problem is with my dubai police report . it has only 3month validity .which means its already expired . i got it last year .after that i did not visit dubai........ will i get check list for this?      The Egyptian PR says 3 months only also but the US Embassy in Cairo said it's good for a year.  E-mail you Embassy and ask I'm pretty sure they will say it's valid for a year but it's better to e-mail and will only take two to three days usually to respond to your request.   Good luck. The dilemma is I am sending my wife original BC, original marriage certificate, original nikkahnama and original English nikkahnama translation. Btw my wife just received the Police Clearance Certificate today so she will fedex that to me I just don't want NVC to lose the originals because then that will create a bigger mess for my case. Decisions, decisions, decisions I guess thats probably the only positive thing that you can get out of NVC they make you an excellent decision makers     Thank you for your advice, after seeing that you submitted your IV docs successfully. ATLEAST?????? and at the end I was told, " Have a good day"    .....I can't believe, this NVC is a nightmare for me. God forbirds If get a checklist on AOS, my interview will perhaps be in Feb or March. This is killing me......And yes to let you all know, I confirmed from 2 rep, they are still reviewing AOS package and IV package separately. So review does not start after the last scan date.       I'm so sorry but your not alone by a long shot many of us are just sitting here without our husbands and wives waiting day after day.   But rejoice in the fact that is WILL end they can't keep us here forever.  I am praying NVC speeds up NOW please everyone say a prayer so we might start our way to the end. Someone called me and told me that my husband look like he barely weight a 100 pound - yet he is over 6 foot. He has lost so much weight, he look anorexic. He eats peanut butter and bread for breakfast and dinner, he stay in a room all day and barely go out. He goes to school but for the past two weeks, school took a break!!!! I spoke with a rep this morning and was told they reviewed my documents and I got checklisted for the Russian police certificate. What are they doing? Losing people's documents. It took weeks to get the Russian police certificate and my husband had it translated as well. We made copies of everything we sent. The rep told me they would send it for review again. The incompetence at this agency is freaking mindboggling.       I'm so sorry and your right the incompetence is outrageous, I'm not sure if it's done on purpose or they are just that stupid but the whole government is run this way.   Scary how other governments are run eh. I called because my wife goofed up on her most recent employment question on ds 260. Wrong address wrong phone number   I tolled the lady my concern and she tolled me not to worry and when she has her interview just to mention it and they will fix it. ouuuuffffffffffff     Then i asked if she can see my daughters case concerning her AOS ( i was afraid , due to the most checklists on AOS packet) . She gladly looked and tolled me it was reviewed and  ACCEPTED  today!! . I was so worried and anxious about the AOS (I (864 EZ) .  33 business days to be reviewed.   The lady even informed me that i will receive a false checklist and to disregard it .  I said  yeah , Saylin tolled us not  worry    She was like huh ?????? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	I havent gotten my case# yet but Im working on getting all docs together. Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldnt find it anywhere. Will We get checklisf if we do not include Police checks? My husband is from egypt and has police certificate for that already. But he lived in Malaysia for 2 yrs and in Lebanon for more than 6mos. The problem we ran into is that the malaysia embassy and lebanon embasy located in Cairo told him they cannot give this to him and they didnt even want to give him a letter stating they cannot provide him with a police certificate. The lawyer told us to at least get a letter from each embassy so we could include in NVC package. The other confusing part is that an employee at the Cairo Embassy told him he doesnt need to do a bchk at this time and he only needs to have a current bchk from Egypt?! Has anyone been through this or any advise on what we can/should do is greatly appreciated.     I read about this before and hope they will come along soon to let you know what to do.  I think if you insist they will give a letter stating they do not give police records I know this has happened at least once before.  Hope they come by soon. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	Yes, the daughter does acquire citizenship upon entry.  She needs to apply for the SSN and passport after entering the USA and do not pay the new immigrant fee as that is for producing the green card that the child does not need.  Citizenship only requires one citizen parent and certain criteria to be met.  Since the child is under 18, and will be an LPR upon entry, they also become a citizen upon entry.  You don't need a naturalization certificate if you have a passport.     http://www.uscis.gov...ources/A4en.pdf   So even in your case, your son, will be a citizen when he arrives.  The N-600 is for when the child is already in the USA when the parent naturalizes and is optional.         Holy cow how things have changed!    Thankyou for ur reply and yeah that's what I was thinking becasue I m a doctor so my degree and course of study were both Mbbs lol. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	I am not asking, you are misinterpreting my answer that suggested a more efficient system.    We all know that every time we call, sometimes after more than 100 intents we get answered and then hear: "we know your time is valuable... etc" then after 45 or more minutes of waiting an operator answers your call and tell you  the "wait 30 business days" BS.   That answer imho is to put the dust under the rug, not a solution.   Some other times you get answered by rude people as I already read in some posts. Do you think that is right for somebody that is paying all the required fees? I would pay more to get better service and I am sure many people will agree.   Yes, the system is broken and now overloaded.     Same here and agree I would gladly pay more if it was efficient and we were all treated with the respect we deserve. In the dream, I wandered into the study of the house I grew up in, which my parents actually sold years ago. Some guy in a white button down shirt was sitting at the computer with his back to me. Somehow I knew he worked for NVC, and that he was working right then and there, so I started to badger him and demand answers. He just kept saying, "You have to wait 30 business days." For some reason, in the dream, the fact that he was in our house meant that I could yell at him without fearing repercussions. So I told him to STFU and tell me the truth. Then this other guy walked out and started saying the same thing to me. I told them that I had a whole forum of people comparing notes, that we weren't going to stop until we got what we wanted. I think I was yelling at that point. Anyway, right when I started yelling at the second guy, I woke up suddenly. I think somehow I went straight from REM sleep to being awake, because I was so groggy I could barely move, even though I got plenty of sleep. Very bizarre.    Anyone else had any USCIS/NVC dreams? Maybe crazy dreams are what's scrambling all of our brains and making people put Armenia as their consulate, etc...        I think your poor brain is asking you for a vacation from all of this. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	i have asked a question bt no one is really answering i dnt know y?? my case is about to complete. and basically i m from afghanistan now i m living in pakistan.. so i expect CC n few days inshallah and i have given adresses in pakistan so now i would like to move to Afghanistanmy question is, would it be better to take my interview in ISB or in Kabul Afghanistan? i dont think so that they would put me in AP becz there is not any doubt n my case its all geniune.. and my wife is my cozn.. some friends say that every male should face AP, so i m scared is AP longer n Pakistan or in Afghanistan?      I'm not an expert, your question is a difficult one to me.  Anyone correct me if I'm wrong but if you travel at this point it will delay you by at least 30 days if not more.   Unless your not in a rush I would not do it.  Hope someone can answer you better than I have.  Afghanistan seems like a dangerous place to want to transfer to might even be more of a chance to be put in AP.  But then I don't know. Any one from any country can have something to do with terrorism if they wanted to so if AP was for everyone I would call it FAIR but when it only applies to certain countries,I dont call that being fair its totally discrimination.       If they had proof and was for a good reason I would understand but it's not and they don't have to give a reason or are they held accountable for their actions which makes this totally unfair to anyone that has to go through this.   To say it's to avoid letting terrorists enter is just naive this goes beyond that because they know well with the tools they have who is who. I'm giving it some serious thought...and not just because process times are insane.     I don't blame you and If I had that option I would go back to Egypt, miss my husband way to much.  I love the USA but he's not here.   But also your so very close why go back after all this waiting?  Not an easy decision, but please let us know what you decide to do.           The solution should be:   - Hire extra people and choose the best qualified ones for this highly sensitive job. - Increase their salaries and set up bonus for employees that completes applicant cases in a timed frame goal. - NVC should work 24 hours divided in 3 shifts.  - Add Sat and Sundays. National Security takes precedence and much has changed since 9/11. That is not an answer that anyone wants to hear, but it is the truth. Countries with known terrorist ties, or organizations within, will get greater scrutiny. I would guess that Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Syria and some others for example. I know we all want to be with our spouses, but as an American citizen I understand and appreciate this...even if it is an inconvenience.    Last year DoS provided 473,115 visas. That is about 39,425 a month, or about 1,892 a day (260 working days, minus 10 for holidays). We are only seeing a smidgen of that on this board.   Have you ever had somebody come to you at your job and say? "Hey, I need you to do this! it should only take you a few hours". You look at the task and ask them "are you insane? a few hours?" It's not as easy as some make it out to be. Sure it could improve, but I am sure it is not as easy as some believe. Nothing is perfect here in the US, and that includes CIS and DoS, but there are a lot of positive things that do work...albeit sometimes slowly. We all need to vent and rant, I do it myself, but try to see the positive things that are working as well as try to breathe a little.    Just my two cents...      Thank you and I understand the reason for the delays and I have waited patiently.  Checking backgrounds is the job of USCIS and I think more than a year checking what takes minutes to check Interpol and other organizations wouldn't have to take a year then God knows how long in AP.  Wouldn't they know this by then?  With today's technology it really takes this long?  Every single thing that happened before and after 9/11 they knew about.   I'm not swallowing that one, by the time the person gets to the interview they should know if they are a danger to the USA or why let anyone go further, for the money?       I'm all for security I'm happy they check everyone out and wouldn't care if they checked me out I would love it even more.  But this is just NOT right.  Thank you for your opinion. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - July 2014	My PCC is from 04/22/2014 and valid until 07/22/2014, ill be getting new PPC for the interview but i was worried about them expiring at the NVC .   Alrighty then sounds like all is good as long as ill bring new Police and Court records to the Embassy .   Thanks for the Reply     Ok that is what I needed hahahaa yes it is good for a full year for the US Embassy.   You can get one just in case I would you just never know what these crazy people have in mind.  Might as well cover all bases.   And your welcome my pleasure.
