Not sure there is another one heheee, happy you got to rest finally .    Yes we sent both in but still need to wait for them to review all docs.   Boy you know I think they do all this on purpose, it can't be they are this stupid to lose/misplace things.  But I do know they want both the original and translated of every document you send.  Let's all pray hard that NVC starts to move quicker day by day. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - August 2014	Sharing more random NVC facts because it's a slow day at work.   NVC operates from 7:00 a.m. ? 12:30 a.m., Monday through Friday on two shifts in two buildings. There are several units: Unit to process incoming correspondence. Unit to send instructions, status updates, and further processing requirements to applicants. Unit to prescreen immigrant visa and fiancée cases. The FPU uses internet searches and other techniques to identify potential fraud indicators. Unit to review photographs from passport applications, along with immigrant and non-immigrant visas to screen for potential fraud. The NVC buidling has the following areas: Fraud Prevention Unit Loading Dock, Shredder Mail Insertion, Mail Out Case Processing Document Review IT Facial Recognition Scanning Main File Room Executive Offices The consular affair building has the following areas: Training/Conference Room Written Correspondence Telephone Inquiries Loading Dock, Mail Opening Fitness Area Additional File Storage The call management software used is called Basic Call Management System (BCMS). NVC uses Avaya Conversant to route calls and provide pre-recorded messages to callers, such as when the Center is closed. The Avaya Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system ceased working properly in late April 2012. Right now the IVR is deactivated and, due to a PBX modification, calls are coming straight into the Automated Call Distribution System (ACD). The PBX has been programmed to begin sending calls at 7:00 AM and stop sending calls at midnight Monday through Friday. It has also been programmed to air certain specially recorded PBX messages as required. The total public calls handled by NVC for 2011 was 2,089,657. Future plans are uncertain and dependent on the new software development currently underway.   Fee payment is handled by a separate contractor. Might explain why it takes time for fees to show as paid through CEAC and for the DS-260 to unlock.   Current visa processing automated systems do not provide the functionality to track the receipt and distribution of the types of mail (no surprise there). NVC has an automated mail tracking system that works with the Immigrant Visa Information System (IVIS). An Internal Tracking System (ITS) was developed by the incumbent IT staff onsite using Microsoft Visual Basic. The ITS tracks visa petitions and work conducted by employees onsite.   Processing statistics are only available under signed NDA. Why? USCIS publishes theirs monthly. Anyway, Q&A for the solicitation revealed NVC Basic Processing statistics for 2011 averaged about 714,000 per month. For quality assurance purposes, there is a cursory review of 5,400 cases and an in depth review of 1,000 cases every month.   There's a lot in here about service level agreements and processing standards in there that are blatantly never adhered to, and which I've never seen adhered to. Example: At NVC, the Contractor shall respond to urgent, special, and Congressional inquiries in no more than three (3) business days, and all other inquiries in no more than seven (7) business days. NVC is allowed an error rate of 1% for critical data fields and 3% non-critical fields, but the definitions of those fields are seemingly only available under NDA. IV petitions are supposed to be "completed in no more than 10 business days from receipt, not including the time spent reviewed by PASS." PASS is Pre-Adjudication Support Services, and they're responsible for fraud detection. "Antifraud and other pre-adjudication screening will be considered complete when the PASS unit has vetted the case against all fraud and screening indicators supplied by the USG and provided a report or, as appropriate, a short communication of the results of that vetting, and any other pertinent items of concern, for the adjudicating consular officer?s use."   Source: government solicitation for contractor to staff NVC.     Thank you so much, very interesting indeed! Instead I found they lost their contract. A company called FCi Federal will be providing support at NVC, but I haven't found when the change happens. Serco's contract has a completion date of Jan 31 2015, but who knows. I told her about the sponsor household size and she said that what I m saying sounds correct but since she can't look at the form she can't confirm. And that since we have another tiny box anyways(she actually apologized that how small it is and easy to miss lol) so just make sure that the part 8 adds up all the above numbers correctly. We put n/a where it asked if we are married, what did u put guys who got recently AOS approved? I want to make sure this time there isn't any mistake.        My computer crashed and I lost everything a couple of weeks ago and I don't remember.   Wish Jsummer was here he would know, both are a great source of knowledge.    So hope the others who have gone through this can help you girl.  No more Check lists for you! That aspect won't affect those of us here who fall into that timeframe.      It will affect me since Egypt takes so long to schedule interviews.  I think it's totally unfair I think if you paid your fees it shouldn't affect you at all no matter when the interview is we paid it that should be it.  But then what makes sense with these people.   It wont kill me to pay it but I don't like to be screwed and ripped off over and over again.  Daca applicants are in the mids of demanding the application be free for them and they are considering it.  You just have to FING WONDER! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - August 2014	Last night I realized I didn't print out the DS-260 confirmation page so I hunted for it and only saw the DS-261 I called NVC and the lady weird name said to go to payment page (which I had) and it would be there.   I told her the only one I see was DS-261 but she insisted.  I went back and nothing so I decided to click on the IV and went from one page to the next until I got to the end and sure enough you can print it out or send via e-mail.  So I sent one to my husband and one to myself and it arrived promptly which doesn't usually happen.  Just now I open my e-mail and there is another one but looks totally different than the one they sent me last night. Looks like the one below what do you think?  Just a duplicate?  The face of the one I requested they send me only had a few words in the body this one had all the below.     Dear Applicant, Thank you for being a valued U.S. Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) customer. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - August 2014	Hi everyone, well we just got off the phone with NVC, and they said that our CASE IS COMPLETE!!    Apparently, case complete was on 8/25, although we haven't gotten any notification yet.  We had given up on calling all the time, so I was shocked that it was actually complete!  Maybe last week when I called NVC and yelled and complained to a supervisor about our case, NVC actually did something?  Our DS-260 was sent in on June 3, but because they somehow missed receiving it (how do you miss an electronic submission to your website?!).  So then it got sent for Supervisor Review on July 22...so I guess that's our official last scan date...it was approved without us having to provide any other info. I was extrapolating from the instructions in http://mumbai.uscons....gov/ivfaq.html Specifically the text states " If your birth was registered more than three years after you were born, you must submit the certificate along with a magistrate's order concerning the late registration." So the mistake I made was confusing "birth registration" with "when the birth certificate was issued / minted". I apologize for any confusion.        Well, SHAME ON YOU YOUR HUMAN! When I called to get a case number, they told me to wait 30 days to get it. I respond back I DON'T THINK SO and hung up. I called back on 8/18 exactly 13 days since they received my case, I received my case # and identification #. And the Same day, I paid the AOS fee and did the DS261. On 8/21 my case was out of there and transferred to the Embassy. And 8/22 the DS260 was unlocked. May your journey be as quick as possible. If God is for you who can be against you       Lovely but wasn't you case expedited due to pregnancy?   So unless this case is an expedite your giving a bit of a false hope here don't you think?  Just saying! Yes the lady was so nice , seriously she would not keep her mouth shut.    The funny thing was  when we were talking about the 60 day mail and  she said   "let me see , you got yours in 46 days . Oh my , we are making progress !! "    that blew me away.             too bad i didn't record the conversation , just so you can hear her reaction !! It was so funny.     It will not be a problem , just clarify that when you have your interview,   My wife goofed up on her last employment. Wrong address wrong phone number . NVC tolled me it is not a big deal and  they cant re-open the ds 260 .It will be corrected at the interview.   They will not update the form at NVC . It will be updated at the interview.  . I hope everyone is pulling strong through the journey still. My wife arrived August 8 and we've been enjoying our time together ever since. We feel so fortunate to finally be done with this process and I want everyone to know it will all be worth it in the end. Something to note, if the case was not expedited and all documents reviewed at time of interview, we would have been set back significantly because last week we received a checklist for the AOS, which we had RESENT on June 26. Almost two months for a response, I guess they opened it and checked it even thought the case was done and she's here. But look how long it had taken! The checklist was for one box that stated the number of people being sponsored which God knows who had forgotten to fill in at the lawyers office!   How are things going now, what is the waiting time looking like? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - August 2014	I am unable to put my hatred towards this fact into words. It makes my blood boil when I see the unfairness in the situation. They made us wait soo soo fu****** long as Uscis!! Now Nvc is backlogged!! Our marriages are dangling by thread and just because we wanted to follow rules!!! When I think about it it makes me so angry. It's been one and a half year since I saw my husband and everyday when I wake up it kills me to think that it's gonna be so much longer still. Why why!!!
