IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - August 2014	If she didn't make income enough to file then she puts "not required to file".  She doesn't write 0 or N/A.   She then includes a letter stating why she was not required to file and the evidence to support that (print out of the page saying if you make under XX amount you don't have to file)   I don't think the IRS verification letter of the fact that she didn't file is needed.        I read they request it but we sent a letter from the IRS for my father who is our sponsor but not for my mother who is co-sponsor or me and our AOS was approved. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - August 2014	I am bringing my stepdaughter here and am still waiting for the IV fee (I check everyday!!). I was wondering if there is ANYTHING to do to make it go faster?? She has .. issues? Her ex boy friend is a member of the MS-13 street gang and has been threatening her life and the life of her mother and little brother. They don't report things to the police because most of them are corrupt. I feel like we are so close to bringing her here but SO FREAKING FAR. My husband is freaking out because there is nothing we can do...   Help....???         Holy cow, Mara Salvatrucha gang is one of the worst gangs ever but they are also (just our luck) in the USA all of North America actually.   Not sure if she would be safe here sorry to say but I wish you good luck and a lot of prayers heading your way.  May God in his mercy protect you all since you will all be in grave danger. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - August 2014	Just got off the phone with Joy at NVC... 41 minutes on hold.  I cringed when I heard her name from what others have posted, but she was actually pretty nice.  Maybe she got talked to about being rude, or maybe there are 2 Joys that work there, not sure.   Anywhoo, I asked her again when my DS261 and AOS packages were received, the dates she gave me were different from what I had recorded.  She said July 9 for the DS261 (it was July 7 before) and EP packages received July 28, July 31, and Aug 8.  August 8 makes sense because I sent my IV package August 7.  July 28 and 31 for the AOS stuff doesn't make sense, because I sent it July 21 and then the 23 when I got the message that my files had password protection.  That is a pretty long delay.  Oh well at least I know what they are going by.  Now to update my spreadsheet form for Saylin    I asked Joy when I could expect the invoice for my IV fees... she said it should be by next week but she would put in a request for a supervisor to make sure.      People complained and it worked there is no reason for us to be treated rudely so let's all keep up the good work.      I found a great Emoticon for you and my computer crashed thanks to TimeWarner when I find it again I'll post it for you. I already mentioned I m the beneficiary and my husband wasn't believing the fact that tax returns can't be sent alone. I got to the point where I got tired of arguing and said that fine send whatever u want. That's the reason I have been so anxious all these 45 days because I know what's coming. I realized the second he sent as well that he screwed it up but I couldn't do anything about it. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - August 2014	Sorry I posted this before but I don't think I got an answer. This thread moves FAST!    I'm currently prepping the AOS and IV packages to send together. We just discovered that we need an additional police certificate from UK since my husband lived there in 2001 - 2003.    The UK police check will take 3 weeks to arrive to us which would set us back.    Should we:  - Wait for the UK police check and send AOS and IV packages all at once?    OR    - Send AOS package now and wait for the additional police check to then send IV package separately?    The reason why we wanted to send both packages together is because mailing docs from Australia (I'm living abroad with my husband) is expensive!    If it's possible to just bring the UK police certificate to the interview when it's time that would be great! Don't know if it works that way....       I hope someone from the UK can come to answer you, it's usually up to the Embassy I think so not sure about the UK.  Wish I could help more but if they miss your post maybe they will see mine.    I'll be praying you get an answer soon. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - August 2014	Guys someone who has their I-864 approved please clarify my doubt,   My wife a USC living in California, has never worked, does not make any income and has never filed taxes. We submitted our I - 864, 2 weeks back along with a joint sponsor who makes well above the income guidelines....   Since my wife never worked and filed taxes, we submitted a signed letter stating she is unemployed and does not have any income. Along with the letter we also submitted an IRS VERIFICATION OF NON FILING LETTER (4506-T) for the last 3 years 2011, 2012 and 2013. I hope this will suffice the NVC no tax filed requirement....   Since my wife technically does not have any IRS tax return form 1040, 1040EZ  nor any income reported to IRS for any of the years, in the I-864 form, under Part 6, Sponsor's Income and employment we have marked 'N/A' for the tax years 13a,b and c and 'N/A' for the total income 13a1,b1 and c1. Like I said we have submitted a signed letter stating she is unemployed and does not have any income. And the IRS VERIFICATION OF NON FILING LETTER (4506-T) for the last 3 years 2011, 2012 and 2013 clearly states "We do not have any record of any filed form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ for your social security number"   Do you think it will be an issue since we have filled the Part 6, tax years and total income with 'N/A' instead of  '0'? Will my wife's explanation letter along with the IRS verification of non filing not suffice? Tomorrow is day 60 since NVC received my checklist document.  I am tired, stressed and anxious about it.  I don?t know what to do. Every time I call they tell me to wait 60 days. What happens after that? I could ask for a supervisor review, but that will take 60 days?  I am so frustrated.  Every time we reach a deadline, they move it.  Why have they skipped my file?  They keep insisting they review in order received. I want to scream, I want to cry, I want to crawl into a hole.  Sorry to be so negative, but I just need to vent. Just checked my email and Singapore Police Certificate is going to be sent out to me tomorrow. Should get UK original Birth Certificate by next week so can then send to NVC. Think I will just send docs and not apply to expedite and then wait two weeks to be turned down. Just going to get them off and wait for a CC. Could get a November interview.      God I'm so sorry with what happened to you, poor baby, you need to be with your husband and I'll be praying this works out for the better in the long run.  Don't know how I missed this and my only excuse is I'm very tired and going to bed before I fall and break my nose.       Praying the pain will ease for you. AKA copies of Birth Certificates or Passports..  On the checklist it tells you who it needs the copies of the proof.         Hi, yes we have my parents as joint sponsors and I sent all the correct paper work in.  But they haven't looked at them yet but at least I know they're there.
