The DACA renewals were due in June of this year and will begin processing in the fall of this year I do believe.... I don't think the DACA waiver was designed to be an ongoing waiver, at least I hope not.   I have nothing to do with this letter writing campaign and my suggestions have fallen on deaf ears (oh well). The I-130 backlog of 2013 was a result of USCIS prioritizing DACA waivers over I-130. If that's going to be mentioned in this letter writing thingy, there really needs to be footnotes or something of data backing up this claim.      It was on the new not sure what channel but they said it was no longer going to continue thank God and the illegals were realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly pissed off.  I'm sure planning protests.  Might have been the Spanish channel it was a few days ago.      I understand what your talking about with the letter hope someone can find data to back it up.        This is all I have found so might be wrong not sure just have a migraine can't read all of the articles.  http://www.enewspf.c...r-dreamers.html     and     http://www.laopinion...it-daca-renewal     I'm a Dem will be voting only Republican!  They also want to make it free for them and remove the $1,200 plus fee.  Why don't they do that for us I wonder? Perhaps i should call them and say I have been at the NVC for 6 months now............... utterly p******* off, nothing more I can say, what a nightmare this process really is.   Recently I only seem to experience extreme anger or utter despair. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - August 2014	Sorry to hear that?.we waited 6 months to the day (180 days) before our I -130 got approved. We also went through NSC .. and saw people after us got approved before us and vice a versa. Its like a cruel lottery system.    Having a lawyer at NVC helped for us, as we didn't have to file DS261 and went straight ahead with the two packets required in the same time and they are under review currently.  So it shaved off the 30 days. Though, this was last month, NVC keeps coming up with new creative ideas to delay every step. I would like to think they are being responsible and going their jobs effectively. Ofcourse due to the backlog created by 2011 and 2012 in I-130s is now creating a bottleneck at NVC phase.    Ofcourse if we get a checklist this means we have 30-60 business days more before we can even think of a case complete.   In the meantime, (I don't know your financial situation), but I go there every other weekend. Its hard but it definitely provides some relief to be able to spend time with your spouse.          Congratulations for a quick run through USCIS most of us where stuck there for a year or more and now here.   And my husband is in Egypt, God I wish I could visit him every other weekend but would have to win the lotto to just visit him once. But if this is the same letter as the one posted here http://www.visajourn...s-letter/page-1 it needs some serious tweaking before it's ready to be sent out.   TSA, ICE and FEMA have nothing to do with the backlog and if the claims about DACA getting preference are going to be the highlight of that letter it would be a good idea to provide some data to back that up.     If not mistaken I think they are no longer going to continue the DACA program at least it's what it said in the news. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - August 2014	Yes, you can send in the IV package first.  Going to the IRS office should be relatively quick and painless... you should see if your joint sponsor can look into doing that.  I believe they just hand the transcript to you right then and there.            Woohoo good advice Soloenta    Saylin has said a couple times before that she has never seen a checklist for the DS-260, so no need to worry there.  The only checklists I've seen for the IV package are because of incorrect documents (sending the short version of BC instead of full, long one) or sending notarized copies instead of original or certified copies. I've also seen some where NVC just straight up loses things.... no way to avoid that really... just make sure you clearly label everything.  I personally feel that including a bunch of other stuff that isn't necessary  (photos, whatever)  is a good way to get a checklist as well.  The reviewer could get lost in all the nonsense and not be able to find the important stuff.         Hahahaaa your so sweet your the one who gave good advice I just figured no one was answering so if I did someone would seem my dumb mistakes and come in and correct them heheheee.  You always give such great advice. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - August 2014	can somebody help me with this please         I would say not sending original documents or the wrong ones.  I sent attachments of mine to the US Embassy in Cairo and asked them to check if they accept them.  they said yes to all and I sent the copy of the e-mail with the document to NVC.  Don't know if that was a good thing or not yet.        I would check with the Embassy website you will have your interview at and check what they want, as in where to get them to make sure.   Good luck. Had a weekend off of VJ to enjoy a girls' weekend in the city.  Such a great time to just relax and forget about all of this process. I did have a couple sneaky peeks at the forum when I was away, but only have just now caught up on all of the posts.  Phew!  Funny that this weekend was supposed to be a big farewell party for me when we planned it months ago, but I still won't be going anywhere anytime soon!   Was hoping for a CC before I went away, but didn't get one. Called Friday morning (Thurs night US time) and they quoted 30 business days. Checked ceac a few times, but my AOS fee has not changed to N/A. Hoping for something early this week, but won't hold my breath now that they have send out the 60 days letter. I didn't receive it yet, but I wouldn't be surprised at anything anymore.  Just when I am so close I can smell a case complete, they change the rules again. Oh well, after nearly 14 months, what difference does it make anymore? Totally over it now.     So happy your back I missed you.   And happy you had a great time, your CC is coming soon and the person should have said 30 days from scanned. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - August 2014	Bad news, I've been able to get my IRS Transcripts online for last 3 years, however, my Joint Sponsor try's to create an account and it causes an error.  We now have to order the transcripts by mail or he might have to go to IRS office.  So that's gonna be a delay now.   Has anyone been having issues with IRS website?      Yes I tried yesterday and same thing error every single time.  I would wait a day I bet they will fix it pretty soon since it has to do with money coming it. But after that to be stuck at Nvc again is really really painful. And I do respect her a lot because she did everything she could do at that stage to hear something. Emailed the senator twice a day even and called ucsis and congressman like crazy. She used to get the same response yet she kept trying and I was one of the happiest people at her approval. So that's y I m surprised that she would discourage someone from trying. I didn't mean sugarcoat it. But don't discourage. That's all what I meant. We're currently waiting for the Malaysian Police Certificate and we're working on the lebanon police certificate and that one can take 6mos or we may never get it ??      Missed you to sweet heart!!!          Ok makes sense now.  I hope someone comes by and tells you, you can go head with everything and then have it if they want it for the interview.  I just don't trust the Egyptian Embassy would rather you send them but the wait is getting longer and I wouldn't risk it.  What a dilemma.   I think in such case, he is better off contacting congressman and senator to request their help expediting his case due to political unrest in the region. I believe that is the only good chance he has.        He's actually living in India and is Palestinian, but I thought he could get help here since he isn't getting many answers at the site he is at.   So he is not a US citizens just a man in despair. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - August 2014	Hello VJ Friends, Just re-posting my question as I didnt get any replies....Im getting docs ready for AOS & IV......I figured out in the wiki about the tax part but still wondering about the police checks,,...has anyone done this before? I just dont want to risk getting checklists....here my post from yesterday: I just paid my AOS & IV Fees today (I have a lawyer) and I'm currently trying to get my tax transcrips from the IRS website but it looks like it's not working. Is it ok if I just send the Tax Return I got from my Tax Preparer in the AOS Packet? Also, I'm currently waiting for the Police Certificates....will I get checklisted if I provide proof from the embassy that we're working on getting it or should I just wait until we get the police certificates (about 3+mos)?     I can't answer your questions but HUH 3 months to get a Police Certificate my husband got one right away.  Is there some problem delaying it?  I would think there would have to be.  Yikes, don't know what to tell you. Wrote case # in pencil on every non-original document and stuck a small post-it on every original document. I also stacked everything and affixed in a couple of those paper vice grips. My way of telling whoever handles my documents: " Don't you dare misplace anything!   "      Not me I purchased one of those stamps you can change the numbers and ink and went to town.  They wont lose my documents it is black and it's dark so they have to see if even if it's lost.
