  I so agree because my husband comes from a well known family and has a sparkling clean record and work ethic, plus he is a well educated man.  What the H e l l more can they ask for.  So many come in illegally with no education and then they give them amnesty.   Ok sorry off topic just a bit upset.

Today, I received the response regarding my expedite process:

 

On 03/31/2014, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I-130 to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

We have placed your case on a processing hold because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these security checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the results of security checks before we make a decision on any pending case.

We cannot predict when we will receive the results of these security checks. Please be assured that we will make every effort to make a decision in your case as soon as the security checks are complete.

We hope this information is helpful to you.
 






 

  I wonder if this is just BS,  mine is at the Nebraska center or Hell center as it should be called and mine states as follows.

 

  USCIS records confirm that this case is pending background check clearance.  USCIS is committed to adjudicating these cases in a timely manner (yeah sure) while also ensuring public safety and national security.  A small percentage of cases have unresolved background check issues that temporarily delay adjudication.  Although USCIS makes every effort to resolve such cases promptly, USCIS is unable to speculate when the background check will be completed in your constituent's case.   

  What the heck does this mean, I'm confused or just so frustrated I can't understand what they are trying to say.  At first I thought well they haven't gotten to the background check yet then I thought there is a problem.  Can anyone  decipher this please?  Maybe a fresher mind not spinning like mine.

It's too hard. Way way too hard now.

 

  Your not alone, I sit many nights and just cry until the sun rises and here I am still waiting and waiting it seems for ever to be with my husband.  I had to come back home to take care of my beloved parents so right now I can't even go visit him and can't work because of what I came back to do.  I know the desperation well and the inability to fix this problem is driving me crazy.  I haven't even received a RFE, God willing I'll hear something soon. I'll be praying for all of us.

My RFE took 42 days

 

 

  I filed June 24 Th and my Senator Barbara Boxer's office did nothing but ask where my case was time wise.  Just received a generic letter saying they are doing their best and our case is still under review.  Something about having to protect the USA.  I agree but really they, this is way to long to wait and I actually filed in March but thanks their mistake they put me down as filing June 24 Th.  It's amazing how inefficient they are or are they?  

  Bottom line I don't think our representatives can do anything for us at least that is what I was told by my Senators office. :(

I'll start off for you :P. 

We received a checklist for a w2! (AOS Package). The W2 form didn't exist since my wife worked in the UK! (We have P60's, which she included). She also had a note saying the UK did not do w2's, only P60's. 

We were able to speak to a supervisor, who said they would remove the checklist- It took 31 business days to remove their error.   :bonk:

 

  Hey happy to see you, I received a letter yesterday saying the AOS was incomplete well know better cause our angel doesn't make mistakes so I called and said there is no way and Don told me twice the AOS was accepted.   I thought I was going to die but she spoke to a supervisor and all is well thank God.  Now just praying they don't lose any of our documents.  :(

My dear, you should've known better not to take NVC reps seriously. They're just relaying to you disjointed snapshots from the screen. Just hold on till the supervisor gets around to reviewing your case file, hopefully today as promised. Even their supervisors are backlogged, it seems.

Well, this morning I dropped my husband off at the airport so he can go back to the US and live with basic freedoms that the UK denied him by not approving his spouse visa. 

 

My 5 year old cried all morning asking him not to leave and then I joined in at the airport (and ever since). Because his spouse visa was denied we had to go through the humiliating process of arriving at the check in desk with no passport, just a letter from the home office telling the check in agent that my husband has no right to be here. Then to top it off, they put his passport on a flight to New York "by accident" -- he is going to Chicago and then onto Tampa tomorrow (or was)!! The UKBP told him that CBP is aware that his passport has been sent to NY by accident but i'm sure they will have no clue and my husband will be stuck at O'Hare. I'm so disgusted with the UK. I feel physically sick whenever I see something of my husbands or when I think about doing to grocery shopping today and it not being with him. I sound pathetic. I have 7 freshman classes to teach this week and I've no idea how I will get through it. 

 

I can't even think about what will happen if I get a checklist. I'm so worried about this. Please NVC hurry up and pleaseeee give me a December interview  :cry:

I keep reading about "when will they send my ds-261 and am concerned I will cause permanent damage from he eyes rolling into the back of my head.

I lnow; we were once there, too. But 5 months at NVC with no CC makes for a grumpy savagechair ;)

 

   I agree, plus some of them are down right snotty and not very nice at all some remind me of another member. :D  So I don't go there more for that reason.  (L)

 

Oh that has made me laugh. I have had a 'me' day today. First I spent two hours in the hairdressers, home for a quick lunch and then we all went to the hospital to have my cast off. Hooray. I have two arms again although the one that was broken is still very painful. Have lots of exercises to do and hopefully it won't be long before I am back to normal. Well, I wasn't normal in the first place but back to my old self!!!!!

 

    I would love a me day but what to do? :D   Oh it feels so nice to get a cast off but at the same time at least I felt a little insecure.  Had my left knee operated on a few years ago had a cast from my foot to my hip, not fun at all.  So happy your on the mend now to keep you break free. ;) :rofl: :rofl: (L) :rofl:   Doesn't matter if you were normal once you go through this process we will never be normal again. :D (L)

NVC is done with July packages. l think you should give NVC a call to ask of the status.
Yea you are right, lt will save them all this backlog. They will just click and review all the packages together.



 

   I called 9 Eastern time spoke to Lisa said my AOS was missing number 13 name of sponsor (BS) and a letter why taxes were not filed.  I sent it in and it should be there.  I think they are going to hold me up until I send that not sure.  Of course Sylvia was not there and will leave a message and I told her she has several messages from me to call and she has failed to do so. I need to have this nightmare done with.  Lisa promised to make sure she gets the message but wont hold my breath.  Can't begin to explain how painful all this is. :( :cry:

Totally agree. Took them 5 months to collect my papers and send them to the embassy, when said embassy is only one mile from me, door to door, with entire embassy grounds in between. I could've probably made paper planes out of my civil documents and landed them into the embassy grounds from my roof.

Thank you, really hope we at least by early November! I lost my job a couple of weeks ago so just trying to keep myself busy and looking for something part time  while waiting this out. What do you all do to let the time pass quicker? :D

 

   I have to so much to do I actually let the PC run and I come by read any new post and answer when I can.  I do beading also take care of my cats and little Pom.  Other things take up the rest of my time.  Boring but it's true. :D   So sorry you lost your job but I think a part time job for now is most likely better. (L) (L)  Used to work with ceramic, I miss that but don't have time for it and used to make stained glass windows.  I made the panel for our living room door. :D  Also used to dabble in making jewelery with precious stones.

We got checklisted August 21st, and due to it being something our co-sponsor needed to fix, it took around 3 weeks to send back :( Our checklist scan date is September 15th, but our IV was scanned in August 19th. We would have been getting a CC soon if it wasn't for the stupid checklist.

 

Our co-sponsor wrote down the wrong income :( Even though on the tax returns it said what he made, they HAD TO checklist us. So annoyed. We had to wait for our sponsor to mail us over the form again with an original signature. I doubt we'll be home for Christmas. :(

   Update,

 

   By the way called twice to NVC wanted to talk to the supervisor Sylvia but couldn't they were in a meeting, the last Rep Lisa was sweet and tried to help but didn't seem to know what she was saying and said she thinks I'll get CC tomorrow, yeah right I'm going to believe her.  I'll call tomorrow morning and God willing I'll have news. :D

Hi sweetie, thanks for the update. I'm hoping your suffering is about to end, trust me! And I guess your hubby is trying to be strong to you, which is nice, because someone has to hold the other one to fall apart.
I'm at a stage of "acceptance", which I just accept what the world gives to me, and live with that. It's less painful and we gotta keep in mind that this situation, as annoying as it is, it's NOT permanent, and sooner or later, things will get better.
I'll be following the thread to support all of you and cheer for the upcoming case complete I know we'lol have soon! So hold on tight fellows, and let's keep the hopes up!!

Thanks for the support, Soloenta. I just got off the phone with NVC and feel a bit better. The checklist was because I didn't include my 2013 taxes. I did 2010, 2011, 2012 and then included the 2013 tax extension request copy. She said that was fine but I still should have listed 2013 on the the i-864 form. Anyway, she confirmed that I only need to resend the i-864s and not all of the 60ish pages I sent of financial evidence. So that's a relief. 

 

I know things will get better, it's just really frustrating right now. 

 

    Your very welcome, oh great so happy it's doable  so hopefully you can resend quickly and try to enjoy your time there since it wont be forever. :)

Got a checklist on our AOS. I feel so defeated. I had always that that we'd be interviewing by now. But that was before the 60 day BS started. Now I worry that it won't be until February/March that we interview. Now I have to redo my AOS package from abroad- it was so much easier the first time because I did it from the States. Where I had access to a printer and sticky notes and a reliable mail system. I feel like it'll take me an extra few weeks just to put it together and send it with DHL. 

 

I wish I could give up on the whole process, but I can't. I want to go home (USA).

    I'm so sorry about the Checklist are you sure it's not a false one?  If your not sure why not copy and paste it here without your information of course. :) 

 

    I know it's frustrating and I know you want to be home but just think of the positive side, you could be here in the USA without your husband and it would be so much worse.  You'll get home just have a little patience and you can get your wish.   But at the same time don't think I take how you feel lightly I know well the frustration of both situations.  I will be praying all will be well soon and you get to go home with your family.   Now if you can copy and paste your AOS we can see if it's false or not. :)

The embassy agreed to expedite, so I was hoping that they will send the documents soon. Agent told me it might take up to 10-20 business . Anybody know if that's true?? Thank you

Now things just changed suddenly, I will call my daughter, and sis today. They will be so shocked, anyways enough about me. what's going on with your case, my God how long those it freaking takes to review a case. Omg, why do people makes things so easy hard. Today, got a call from the consulate, they wanted me to come on the 17th, but I have to go for medical next Wednesday the 8th. I wanted to use this week to wrap up my illness. lol I am a little shocked, because I never thought I will be in the states by thanksgiving.

Hi everyone! I'm baaaack after a week with my parents in São Paulo. Good news, they got their tourist visa, so they can visit me anytime there (yeeeey!)
Now, sad news: WHATS WRONG WITH NVC.? What happened to youuuu Soloenta??

 Yes it's been frustrating at best.  In a nut shell three reps either lied to me ( I think because their company lost to another for NVC work) or they saw what they told me on the screen.   I don't know but bottom line I don't have CC and am waiting to talk to Sylvia and I pray she calls me today. 

 

   I finally couldn't keep it from my husband anymore, I feel better for telling him and all he said well it's God's will there must be a reason so don't worry just relax.  But I did hear a bit of sadness in his voice and all he said is " I miss you so much"!    crying.gifcrying-and-sobbing.gif

    I  Just called NVC took me only three or four redials and waited from 5:20 to 5:32,  spoke to Sandy she was so sweet very kind voice and she said Sylvia was in a meeting but would leave her a note.  She also said that she requested my files that are at the department being reviewed and she wasn't sure if she had them yet or not.   So I wait again, I'm sure before this is over everyone will be having their loved ones flying home and adjusting to the USA by then.  She asked me what was the best time to call me I said I don't care 3,4,5 am I don't care as long as she calls me.  She said you sure we are back East and 3 hrs ahead of you, my response I know :D  doesn't matter to me.

Has absolutely nothing to do with my Visa but at 1.50 pm tomorrow I am having my cast off. Whooo Hooo. Just changed the appointment from Thursday to tomorrow as it is school holidays and we are going away for a few days.

Perhaps more good news is on the way !!!!!!!!!

Is it true that NVC doesn't give you a third checklist? Once they've issued two checklists, for the third one they ask you to just bring your stuff to the interview?


I'm only thinking out the scenerios in my head, if God forbid I made a mistake on my AOS form for something else. Although I only had the checklist for missing n/a for the address part, and I refilled it based on the scanned copy I had (only updated the n/a part) but what if God forbid I missed something! It'll be our third checklist and would we be allowed to bring it to the embassy instead?


  Romii they told me that there was a mistake on my AOS second one and said my husband was to take it to the interview but then the whole thing was a lie.  But yes I have heard many say this but I think it's a toss up depends on the person handling your file.    I would say most likely but don't be surprised if they say no. :(

I hope I hear back before the six months on my police certificate is up.

 

It's actually a bit confusing. The London Embassy says they're valid for up to a year, yet ACRO (or someplace else) says they're only valid for six months. Going by common sense, I'd say NVC would go by what the embassy requires. There's no expiry date on the certificate, just the date of creation which was 24th April 2014.

 

Reading over what I just wrote, I can tell I'm stressing needlessly :P even if it does go wrong, I guess it's better to be calm now so I can spend less time being annoyed later on if there actually is a problem.

 

   Don't worry :) no matter what they say the US Embassy says one year guide yourself by them. :)  Just to be safe I would e-mail the Embassy they only take two to three days to respond :D  (L) (L)

Hi Soloenta,

 

On the FB group someone got an interview for Egypt in 3 mos and they didn't have any type of expedite...so there's still hope for us. :) Maybe when we get CC, the Cairo Embassy will be better and give us quicker interview dates.  :rolleyes:

 

  OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG REALLY NO KIDDING OMG I do hope so.   This whole thing worries me so much, you made me feel so much better thank you sweet heart. :) God willing we will both get interviews in only 3 months. :)
