US Embassy and Consulate Discussionproofs for ongoing relationship...are all these ok?

In Muslim countries there are engagement ceremonies. I have seen the embassy in Pakistan deny K-1s if they think that the dress at the engagement ceremony was too fancy (and suspect it was a wedding and not an engagement ceremony)

really? we had a ravish ceremony, and got a lot of visitors, all were close friends and relatives (i got a lot).want them to witness the event..
my dress was just soo simple...try looking on my photos, got pics of it :)

I would resist anything that would indicate a "marriage" even if it was not a legal ceremony.... But that is just my opinion...
[/quote]

no, it's not our wedding actually, it' my bestfriend's... i and my fiance was invited as her maid and her groom's man respectively.

the wedding was legal but not our wedding :)

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionPacket 3

I wanted to send the checklist back asap and afterward I'll make the medical exam for my fiance. I've notice that the average time between the interview date are set around 2 months after the consular recieve the packet 3. We wanted to wait close to the time of the interview to get the police report done, due to the fact that it'll be expire in 3 months from the time it's issue. So is it necessary to get all the box check before sending it in? Though some box those not apply to our case, can I just leave it blank?

i see, here in my place, police clearance will expire after 6 months, mine was expired took it last april, good thing ive read this topic hehe, ill secure one again tomorrow :)

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionPacket 3

Please what should we expect packet 3 to contain.Do we need to include police reports and avidavit of support while returning the packet 3 to the embassy or is the police report and affidavit of support required at the interview stage

You will need a police report and I134 at the time of the interview. You will only need to submit a couple forms initially. You should check your embassy for which ones they require. You will need to gather your papers during the wait for the interview and have the medical done.

as for me, ive gathered all the possible requirements, making sure u wont forget a thing... it's better to be prepared

my fiance just sent me a copy of his w-2 , with years 2003-2005, also i have all my clearances, police, NBi and other important documents...

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionNervous wreck. Interview date - can it be moved?

My NOA2 is in Sept and I am hoping for a jan or feb interview. Realistically it will prolly be around mid Feb. (Valentines day for an interview?)
So you should be good for a april interview date.

I am with you Gary, but look at our timelines. We received our NOA2 18 Sept but our package got to Manila before yours... now that just does not make any sense does it? I will be interesting in the line for the interview to see just how many VJ folks we recognize. Payato

as for me i wanna have it as soon as possible!!! i miss my honey !!!

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionany radiologists here?i have a qtion here

from a medical standpoint, unless there are long term damages from smoking (emphysema or lung cancer), there will be no way for them to find out if you smoke by chest xray or CT scan. However, there are certain blood tests that can pick up if you smoke.

As far as not letting you into the country becaseu of smoking, that wont happen (the tobacco companies would raise hell if they discriminated like that).

Good luck

precisely! haven't heard bout a person denied just because of smoking, how about UTI?

I do not know her that well to leave financial records with her to take to the interview. Lennie

But you know her well enough to MARRY her?

Apparently not, but he knows her well enough to drag her @ss halfway around the world. I think the right answer is to stop the train and get yourself grounded in a relationship before it turns into a train wreck.

precisely, u are not open to her. filing the petition will be in black and white. from personal to financial matters, these are to be known by each other. the embassy will show everything to the fiancee including criminal records and everything important to the girl, to let her have an idea who is she going to marry if in case the guy didnt reveal his real self. there's nothing wrong in showing or letting her know ur income. it will only prove if ur capable of having ur own family, if u can afford to have a wife and children. accessing ur money is out of the way. but u have to provide for ur family...cos it's ur responsibility.

nobody wants to use ur money, me either dont want to use my fiance's money for my comfort. it's up to the fince if he's willing to spend for the girl. my fiance loves me so much that he gives reasons for me to accept money from him, that i got lots of birthdays in a year just to accept gifts from him :)

so if it is the case, u better think first to continue this. or r u sure u love this girl or it's just another arranged relationship?sorry but it happens...that's why we have this strict screening...

God bless!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionMEDICAL EXAM
as what ive said, she can have it cos u have paid for it...read more regarding medical exam experiences and ull find out that others didnt take all the vaccinations :) she can have it in your place. but for me, ill have it :) anyway, we r not planning for a baby yet so id like to take the shots (the vaccination will harm the baby.)
felnfrankFemale02006-11-21 09:41:00
US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionMEDICAL EXAM
i think it's optional cos my co-teacher didnt have these "stuffs"...if ur planning to have a baby then she dont need vaccinations (as what i remember,no baby within 3 months after vaccination), she can have it when she reaches ur place after the baby.

but rather have these if u dnt plan yet to have a baby, cos you have paid for these, this is also for the benefit of ur fiancee..

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionquestion on whether fiance visa interview is videotaped or audiotaped

Hello,

I am wondering if any of you know whether the fiance visa interview at the consulate is audiotaped or videotaped. I suspect that it might be so that it could be used for evidentiary purposes in cases where there is litigation involving what was said or done by anyone during the interview process. Also, whether any of you know how long the consulate retains said video or audio tapes.

mmmmm nobody ever mentioned there is :)

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionMedical exam questions

perianal warts

####### warts are benign tumours of the epidermis induced by inoculation of specific papova viruses; they are usually transmitted by sexual activity.

If the immune system is compromised, they can present major problems to cure.

The general principles of management of warts is presented in the menu below. Note that if surgical excision under local anaesthetic is the only practical treatment option, then normal skin between the warts needs to be carefully preserved so as to avoid delays in healing and ####### canal stenosis.

It is prudent to consider the HIV and hepatitis B status of the patient, and counselling as to the wart presence and treatment of sexual partners.

there u go  better have treatments beforehand...just making sure hehe
