PhilippinesCFO questions.... again
Hi!!! I already had my CFO done last June. They said I could do it before or after getting the visa so i decided to do the counseling and will just go back there for the sticker. I had the seminar in PRISM. I had to go back because she asked for fiance's divorce decree. She also asked me to bring some photos, which I always have in my bag (wallet size photos)...I don't know if PRISM is better than St. Mary's or vice versa.

She will also need to fill out a form asking some info about the petitioner and the beneficiary like education, occupation, religion...The lady there even asked me to write the maiden name of my fiance's mother.

Good luck....

PhilippinesCFO Requirements
I had my early CFO seminar and had to go back because i didn't have my fiance's divorce decree. He just faxed a piece of paper to PRISM. They even asked me to bring some photos with my fiance, just like in USEM smile.gif. Probably, they're right, better go to St. Mary's. Good luck!!! smile.gif

PhilippinesEligibility for Scheduling an Interview
Hi!!! My fiance just called the embassy this morning (RP time) and he was able to set my interview. They got our papers Oct. 2 but i told him to wait after a week before calling USEM. Good luck!!! smile.gif

PhilippinesIs it possible to attend the seminar even you dont have interview yet?

Philippinesinterview documents question
I guess it's better to get a new one if you have enough time before the interview. It took me just a week to obtain a new CENOMAR. I went to NSO near MOA (Mall of Asia)...I want to avoid long line so I asked my dad as my representative to obtain my CENOMAR. Dad has a senior citizen ID so he did not have to fall in line, he was asked to go directly to the screening window. smile.gif

PhilippinesCFO SEMINAR inquiry
I went there last June and had the seminar in advance (interview will be on Nov. 4). They told me to go back because i didn't have my fiance's divorce decree. So i guess you could bring that affidavit so that you don't have to go back and also bring some pictures of you together. There are some questions in the form about ur petitioner so you have to know those things like religion, educational background, occupation...Good luck!!! smile.gif

PhilippinesI-134 question
Hello everyone!!!

Just got my fiance's supporting docs for I-134. I noticed that the letters from the bank as well as other documents are dated June 2009. Should these be okay? My interview is on nov. 4. Thanks in advance...

PhilippinesCost of US EMBASSY Trip
I think the courier service is 205 pesos (Air 21)....so probably allow 300 to 500 pesos for that..probably if she is in the province it has a different fee...

My fiance also asked me about the rice 'coz he is eating brown rice and he is concerned that I may not like it..We will also get Jasmine and then probably, gradually switch to brown rice since it's a lot healthier... wink.gif

PhilippinesNewbee needs help
They're right...u have to have a lot of patience in doing this visa processing. We first thought of hiring a lawyer but we decided not to after looking at the forms and the step-by-step process and my fiance and I agreed not to hire one. So, i guess we saved some money from doing that. Right now, i'm just waiting for my visa. It took us 6 months. It could have been shorter if we didn't get stuck in NVC (hope u won't experience that).

With the calls, my fiance used his phone before and I saw his bills, really shocking, ur right about that. He purchased a computer for me and we saved a lot from that. We do voice and video chat in SKYPE. We just have to pay 999 for smartbro internet connection and electricity might increase a bit but not a lot . I also get online thru yahoo messenger SMS instead sending him txt messages which cost 15 pesos. With SMS, u pay 2.50 per message. A lot cheaper....

I'm glad I found this Visa Journey and this really helped a lot in our K-1 Visa.

Good luck and may you have a productive visit here in the Philippines!!!

PhilippinesLDR's or Long-Distance Relationships
We have been together since Dec. 2005. I just got here Dec. 2009. It's really tough to be away from each other. He visited 7 times and the longest time we've been apart was like 9 months. We chat every day morning and evening using Skype. It worked for us since I was on a night shift so I'm awake during his daytime and we sleep just about the same time. We talked about everything. We sent each other emails even I was in the office (I got 4541 emails). We used the time to know each other really well despite of not being together. I'm thankful that we have this kind of technology coz it will be more tough if we do snail mails. Always communicate with each other and show ur partner how much you love him or her.

Philippineslooking for a recommendation for a good hotel in
My husband and I always stay here in this hotel (3x) http://www.summerplacebaguio.com/. We prefer this coz hubby wants a place that's not too crowded and congested. It's less than 10 minutes away from the main city. Cabs are cheap there. They have a flat rate of 25.00 and they don't ask for more other than what's in the meter unlike in Manila. If you're going to stay with the whole family, ChuckandRhean is right. It's better to just do transient, rent the apartment or house. Your family could also do some cooking there and bring the food to Camp John Hay. They have picnic tables there. You could also try to eat in Rose Bowl (Chinese Resto). I'm missing Baguio and my sister's family now. Good luck!!! :)

PhilippinesFeb.5,2010 INTERVIEW
I print screened the skype chats and call history as well as yahoo. I did it back to back to save paper as well as to lessen the weight. The prescreener and CO didn't look at the e-mails and just asked for photos and greeting cards. For the photos, i just put them in a clear folder, something that bends easily coz if u will put them in an album i don't think it will fit once the pre-screener or the CO asked it from you. You might need to bring a hand towel or hankies for the sweaty palms...had the same problem coz i was so nervous and had a bit of problem when i did the fingerprint. I can understand how u feel. Just make sure u have all the documents. Good luck in ur interview!!! :)
