CanadaGot Baby? Avez vous un bebe?

Bern-Congratulations on the pregnancy!!! :star:
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and good luck with the rest of yoru OB/GYN appts too.
Lol..You're lucky that yours was pretty instant.....;) Wow! And yes, it's great that you are both together too...
Btw..Have you told anyone else about the pregnancy yet? If so, how did they react?
Ant

Um, I've told my parents, he told his parents, and I've told a couple of my close friends.
My family-in-law is very excited, with my in-laws wanting to be grandparents and what not.
My mother pretty much cried and said, ''WHY ARE YOU MAKING ME A GRANDMOTHER ALREADY?!''
My mom is 56, she said it in a joking matter. x)
(As well, Im hoping to sponsor her to the US someday. She doesn't want to retire in Canada because she hates the cold, but she doesn't want to go back to the Philippines either because she's so used to westernized living. She confuses me haha)

I just, have a hard time keeping anything down. And I have no appetite. It constantly feels like something is stuck in my throat.
I LOVEE ice cream though. O_O

CanadaGot Baby? Avez vous un bebe?

Congrats!!!
I hear you on the morning/all day sickness thing. I can't help you but at least we can suffer together..lol

Yay. I like having someone I can suffer with. XD
Basically, I've been craving a lot of random stuff...going to the TMC tomorrow, which is like a family medical clinic, once they confirm that I am INDEED pregnant (although 5 digital tests said yes.) I can go to the hospital and start seeing someone. I'm nervous because I heard the military hospital here kind of sucks. Haha.

I'm sort of excited though, so many mixed feelings...

For all those with babies already, what did you do to better your pregnancy?

CanadaGot Baby? Avez vous un bebe?
Yeah. I'm just as surprised as you all probably. :P It was pretty instant, which SUCKS. But what can you do? On the bright side, we're together now. We have an apartment together, healthcare etc, so that's the yays. On the downside, morning sickness hates me. All I can down are crackers.

Someone help? D:

CanadaGot Baby? Avez vous un bebe?

Of course, life doesn't always go like we plan it. No matter when we have kids I will welcome them with all the love in the world! I'm thinking 1 or 2, probably 2. How many do you guys want?

I don't have any children myself yet, being that I'm barely 20 years old but when the time comes, I want at least one. I'm not letting my hopes up though because I suffered from a sickness when I was younger and my chance of conceiving is loww (it's possible...but yeah). But anywho, if all else, there are millions of children out there without a home. I will adopt. :)!

It probably never will. Alberta will join with the US before Quebec separates more than likely. Then Newfoundland will go back to being it's own country like back in the 50's.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresMarch 2010 CR1 filers

Wow, you started this process 1 year ago??That is a looong time...how come it has taken so long?

It took us ages since it took us 4 months to get through the California Service Centre. (It was such a long wait at the time because they were doing work visa's during this month and april, which delayed a ton of spousal visas.) Then, when we finally got approved, thanks to military expedite, they ''lost'' our file, so NVC didn't get it until a month after approval. Then, it took us like 3 months to get through NVC because my husband was deployed and it was really hard getting all the papers we needed for AOS and what not. But we're done now! SO YAY. <3

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWill US Army recognize marriage in Canada?
But I read in goarmy.com that the spouse needs a SSN to be put on DEERS. But I guess it worked for you, without one. XD;

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresWill US Army recognize marriage in Canada?
I apologize for not knowing where to post this. ):

If someone from the US military goes to Canada to marry a Canadian, would the US Army recognize it with a marriage certificate and give him ->
Basic Allowance for Subsistence (BAS) and Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH)?

We were originally going to file for the K-1, but due to our time lines not seeming to meet up, we are going to marry in Canada, then wait for a year (he is deployed in March 09 for 6 months to a year) and then file for the CR-1.

Does anyone have any information on this? Thank you.

I'm pretty sure that the only consulate that deals with CR-1/IR-1 interviews is in Montreal. Is this correct? Or does Vancouver handle CR-1/IR-1's too? ): THANKS FOR CONFIRMING. <3

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresKinds of Marriage. Confused. :S
Well, I don't think I need affidavits just because we do have enough proof of a bonafide before marriage, and we will have a lot of proof after. We will probably send along letters from our mothers as proof of on-going relationship/marital union.

And, people have filed after a month of marriage right? :S

I just want the CR-1/IR-1 because it's a better VISA in the end, and I won't have to go through adjusting and ####### >_<

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresKinds of Marriage. Confused. :S
Thank you so much everyone, but here is our plan. When he get's back from his deployment, he's going to get his own apartment and then he's going to come up and visit me for 2 1/2 weeks to 3 weeks. And we plan to have just a small courtroom wedding with about 5 witnesses. My parents, and a few mutual friends. None of his family will be attending. As well, we'd all go out to dinner afterwords on the same day.

And would we be able to use proof of a relationship before we got married as well as proof from after we got married? He wants to file for the CR-1, a month after we get married.

What do you guys think?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresKinds of Marriage. Confused. :S
My fiance and I are still deciding which VISA to pursue. whistling.gif So I have some questions.

I know that you are required to file a Marriage Certificate, but are they picky as to what kind of wedding you have? Would it be okay to just get married in front of a judge, or a Marriage Officiant. Like, would they care about whether or not you had a small ceremony, with few witnesses, or does USCIS want a huge wedding, with the dress, the reception and the massive amount of witnesses >_<?

What kind of marriages have occurred on VJ? D<

And my fiance and I have had a strong on-going relationship of almost 2 years, so if all else we have that as evidence. :3

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresHow do you maintain your Long Distance Relationship?
Right now, we just have to send e-mails and talk on the phone ever so often. And next month he's going overseas to Kuwait for a year, so it'll probably be strict e-mail and maybe Skype. I miss him dearly but what can you do, he's worth it to me and I'm worth it to him. smile.gif
