salam everyone , first i want to thanks all who always reply and help in fact most of the people on here is big helper ,, so since most of us is waiting to get the visa i would love to ask about any thoughs came on the mind i think it will be useful for me and for other so here guys i want to know if you K3 and once you get your visa and went there is us .. what you need to do to get the social security card ? what papers you need to fill and how this process working out ? wish to get some answers about that , wish to all of you the best luck and this waiting time goes by so fast .

It was explained to us by the DHL office inside the embassy that the "Scheduled for Delivery as Agreed" is just the computer system updating itself... it doesn't actually mean anything. It doesn't mean it's moving anywhere, or anyone's doing anything with it, or anything at all. It updates with that message every 2-3 days. Keep an eye out for something that says it's Departed the Facility, or Arrived at sort facility, then you will know it is actually on the move.

hi everyone , ,wish all of you doing well ,, as soon as i get any information i would love to post it here to let all of you knows ,, so for all who waiting after done their interview its a way to check and see if the embassy sending you the visa with the passport what you can do is to check the DHL web site here is the link :http://www.dhl.com/splash.html
then you put your country where you live then on the other page you put on the box under (fast track) the number of your shipment which the DHL in the embassy gave you after you paid the fee then another page will show and tell you the statue right now if says Scheduled for delivery as agreed that means it still in the embassy not sending yet if says sending so you will know its on your way ,, so its a way to check about your visa ,, wish it can help ,, best luck to everyone ,,, about me i still waiting just few days i got an e mail from the embassy telling me its pending administrative processing once it completed you will contact you , so i hope it done soon ,, bless you all .

hi everyone ,,, another worries came to me , sorry but this stress and hard time make lots of worries came so yesterday my wife noticed something on the form the NVC sending to her after we got approved here its :-797, Notice of Action

Valid from 07/30/2009 to 11/29/2009
so it says from 7/30/2009 to 11/29/2009 the embassy have it too i think on our papers so please what if i didnt get the visa till that day , should i start all the process all over again ? or they renew it in the embassy cause its not our fault for taken longer time to issue the visa .... my case now pending to AP so i'm so worry if they didnt send me the visa before the expire date then what i can do ? blessing you all with best luck .

From what I am reading it doesn't sound as if they are not telling you the truth. I think it is just hard for you to understand their normal process. They wanted more documents. Before they sent it to AP they verified the documents. That is why they said it is waiting for review. Once they verified the documents they followed their next process, which is AP. That is why they told you it is pending AP. They don't multi task on these. lol

Anyway what you are going through is pretty normal stuff. Nothing to panic over.

I got this exact same email from the Embassy. LOL. They msut use the same general email for everyone.

I am sorry about your delay. I am not sure exactly what is you don't understand but it sounds like your applicaiton is in AP. From what I have read on VJ it is quite normal for Cairo to put applicants into AP/AR. Don't despair, I am sure your time will come soon!

i sent the package 3 at 9/30 then i got my interview at 10/14 then they change the date for 10/22 now i'm on AP cause they asking me in my interview for the devore certificate for my wife which i didnt bring with me so i dhl them it since that they put me in AP so we called the DOS to check the statue the agent said the embassy at this time is so busy it's the most busy time on the year for the embassy in Cairo so i guess thats why they put your interview long time after sent them package 3 , wish all the good luck for you .

Yup . they asked her fiance for her original of the divorce certificate at the interview .and he sent it to them after the interview .it took them 3 months to get the visa .

When you call the DOS, ask them if your administrative processing is internal or is it name checks in Washington.
If it is internal, then the Co is verifying information or documents (investigating.)
If it is DOS, then it is the name checks.

i done my interview on OCT 22,09 i'm k3 ,, on my interview the CO asked me about my wife full name ,, where she live ,, how we met each other , for how long we know each other , what day we got married , what i plan to do when i go there ,, for how long she stay in Egypt when she came here ,, what she doing for living ,, then he asked me to show him some pictures for us ,, so the most important thing is dont let your husband forget any papers work .. i tell you why and like what .... he need to bring with him all the original certificate like breath certificate,, police recored,, military service,, marriage certificate ( arabic one and english one) , his passport ,, also if he went to other country and living in it more than six months he should bring the police recored from this country , also if any of you divorced then he should bring with him the original divorce certificate,, now i tell you why is so important to not forget any papers work ... because once if he forget any then they will ask him to send it later to them then it gonna causing an AP , i my self forget the divorce paper for my wife then even they kept my passport on the interview but they put me on AP so i warn you to not let him forget any papers work , on the mean time you can read my topic (how my interview went ) ,, wish the best luck to your husband on his interview ,, have a good one .

I am a newbie. I married my egypt husband 3 years ago & have lived in egypt since that time. We had a daughter 2 years ago and MIGHT BE pregnant again.

We decided to finally file for the spousal visa in october and received the packet of visa application two days ago.
I havent worked in the states for sometime so I know we will need a co-sponsor which is no problem but they are telling me i also need to set up domicile in the states.
Why is that if we will have a co-sponsor anyway? also what do I do to set up domicile there without leaving Egypt 1st?
Not sure if the time line is shorter for filing in Egypt. any help or advice is welcome. :thumbs:

the funny thing is when we had the first interview they asked us N-O-T-H-I-N-G. we had our daughter with us and he asked if she was ours and saw her birth certificate and he said he was approving the petition, that i needed to set up a domocile in the states and they would mail the visa application packet which we have now received.
what questions do they ask in that interview? anything? or are they just wanting to make sure they have all of the documents and paperwork requested?
