I'll email Barbados and get his addy changed and also ask if I can submit the packet 3 requirements to them by email since the mail is super slow, hopefully they allow it (they wouldn't for Iriecat). oh btw. I think I said this to iriecat before but not to you. They will tell you you cannot email them because they need the signed docs. I did it anyway, while putting the signed docs in the mail via dhl. Yeah, I think you just use the number NVC gave you to track it now. If you need to email NVC for any reason, they want you to put the number they gave you in the subject line of the email. I have no idea whether you can use that number to check on your petition using their automated phone system. The thing is your petition will go through NVC so quickly that it is kind of silly that they assign you a new number. I could be wrong, but I think the consulate will then assign you yet another number. Plus to track it to the consulate, you use a tracking number from DHL. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Maybe someone else can give you a better answer. The number NVC gives you is the case number. That is the number from here on out. You can reference that number with the NVC, the Embassy, and the Dept of State. I dont think it means you have passed any checks, its just the case number assigned. I think i rather have her here quicker but it would have been nice to save the $500 extra Congrats! I cant wait til thats my biggest issue. Is there any way that you can change the flight to save the $500? Im sure you cant wait especially after all this long wait, but remember, you have her for the rest of your life. We are requesting an interview with the petitioner before the visa can be issued. Please make arrangements to come to the Embassy." YES!!! My interview is set for June 11th. My fiance and I will go to the embassy together and this time, I am armed with about 3" worth of evidence which includes ALL my cell phone bills, the phone records I requested from the online site I've been using which shows the date, origin #, destination #, and the duration of each calls I made to my fiance. I will also bring letters of support from my friends and my father. Things are looking so much brighter for us now! Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and wish us luck! Thank you lord. June 11th is right around the corner too. Consider it a lil vacation together, Barbados is beautiful. Be the embassy's worst nightmare... in your most polite manner of course. I have faith. I sent the immigration assistant, Monica Maxwell, a couple of emails this morning after finding out about the denial. I just go thru the embassy in Barbados hoping to talk to the CO who interviewed my fiance but he was still unavailable. Monica got on the phone and she assured me that it's not the end of the world and not to worry. She said she will forward my emails to the CO and to expect a reply from him this week. She said he will state what else he needs from me and that our file is not going anywhere until I provide him what he needs. If a second interview is needed, I will be there with my fiance. I feel a little better that we still have hope. I will keep you all posted with our dilemma. Please keep us in your prayers....we really need it right now. OH MY GOODNESS!!! I am in disbelief right now. I cannot believe this is happening to you. I am truly in shock. Those CO's are so full of it. I dont even know what to say to you, other than STAY ON THEM. I have my SO on mail duty... as it is he has to go over there a few days early; he will need to get there Thursday evening so he take do the medical Friday Morning and then spend the weekend for the interview on Monday. He is not looking forward to the hassle of that but he doesn't mind because he will be here really soon! Have you gotten the visa yet or are they still processing? they usually dont reply to the emails til the following day, so if you email tomorrow, youll get a response hopefully with a date on thursday. I emailed them on Friday to make sure they received the stuff, and they replied saying they received it and it will be processed in a few days. They tell u the turnaround is 7 bus days, so Im trying to just relax and wait. It wasnt difficult, and overall the process was pretty straight forward, but we pretty much ended with an RFE. He had to send some more info, which was sent to them the next day, so hopefully by next week (if they are finally satisfied) he should have his visa in hand. It was all pretty well, just a little disheartening to have to leave after all of that without the visa in hand. Sorry to hear you guys ended with an RFE. I hope you guys hear from them soon and that your fiance gets his visa asap. I will keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers. Let us know when your SO gets the visa so we can do the dance for you. my word of advice, make sure BOTH parents names are listed on his birth certificate. That's crazy. Well I hope you guys get your Packet 3 soon. Keep us posted. Wow, EmpressM do you know I never realized that you had been approved and waiting for packet 3. I would have given you advice. My advice to anyone in the caribbean dealing with this process is DO NOT WAIT. Take it in your own hands, and send them what is needed. Now that youve finally gotten the packet, make sure you do not use Snail Mail, I would use DHL since it seems like that is their preferred carrier. Also make sure to follow up once the packet is received because your interview date can sail right past you waiting for your appointment letter in the mail. Now, im impatient of waiting for them to resend the packet 3 and scared it might be lost again or wait another 2 weekssss? so asked them, that i have researched and downloaded the forms i need to send them back to be able to schedule for interview so if it is possible to send it their way even i have not received packet 3 yet...thank God they said YES... so mailed it to their office Right away...just WISHH ...we would be getting a schedule for interview soonn.... ...and now back to waiting... So any of you guys who just had their approvals out there and waiting for their packet 3...BETTER KEEP CHECKING! For the rest who are still waiting...hope you get yours anytime SOON.... thats funny... My fiance still hasnt received not one package from the embassy.
