Hello everyone,

It's been really hard to respond to everyone, while working 12 hour shifts, I know Rhonda or is it Mindy does it all the time but I'm old, she's not :) Anyway I have been reading. Things should be getting better in a little while. Congratz Jonesie, and I hope today is Elias birthday. Happy birthday, whenever you decide to make an appearance. Well now I am going to look at BelwinMills pics.

Hi Dru-good to see you, and I hope your case gets some action soon too.

Any one know of some reasonable all inclusive resorts or hotels ect in Mobay? I have some friends who are going for christmas, they were asking for recommendations.

Thanks Dee.

Hi Dee. I suggest Royal Decameron Montego Bay, Holiday Inn or Sunset Beach.

Sbys - Best wishes (L) .

Dee, I've stayed at both the Holiday Inn and Sunset Beach. My preference is the Holiday Inn. The entertainment is better. However I would check online to see availablity for Christmans now, and you can get an idea of which are in their price range.

Julie best wishes today! (L) (F)

Good morning,

Topic for today:

Now that you're living together what is the one quality that stands out that your spouse/fiance has that makes you say 'I am the most fortunate/lucky/blessed woman/man in the world'?

The one thing that stand out in our household is that hubby shows me that the word "Love" is an verb, instead of a word used to describe a feeling. He hardly ever tells me he loves me anymore but it's okay. Because he so puts his love for me into action: he serves me, he makes sacrifices for me, he listens, empathizes, appreciates and affirms me. No 'I love you" can ever replace it !!!!! :luv:

 actions DO speak louder than words

A whole lot of nothing for me.

You take advantage of that "nothing" time. Before you know it Elias will be occupying all of your free time :luv:

Also thinking of Myisha(Ricardoswife)due in September, and Kimone2004 interviewing for AOS on 8/23 and also due with the twins around the same time :o .

HI Guys :help:
I have been living in hell. I made the biggest mistake of my life, i have created my own hell. For those who remember me, I need your help, please. I'm so stressed out and don't know what else to do. Craig's been here for 8months now and i have tried to make it work, he has changed too much, this is not the man I married. I asked him to do one thing (ask for a temp work stamp) he came here telling me he forgot. I stopped going to school to support him. He is lazy and the most important think to him is music video. :crying: If I past out in the room he wouldn't even notice. I don't want to be mean and send him back but I'm very sick and I cant do this any more. I'm very unhappy and I suffer from Bi-polar dissorder that makes me upset all the time. What can I do. I need some input. Thanks

P.S. Tell me if this is a man that cares: He came in one day crying on the floor walk over me pick his clothes up and left with his friends for the park. He never even called to see if I was ok. I know Jamaican men are laid back but please be honest.

Hi Tawana-

If you husband feels that this is a "free ride" than maybe you need to talk with him about your expectations and let him know how unhappy you are. If he is unwilling to listen or participate in this relationship than I think he has given you all the answers you need and you need to begin steps to take care of yourself. First though....go see someone for support and try to be strong....all of us are here for you if you need to talk!!!

Hope things get better!!!
(F) (F) (F)

Hi Tawana,
Kim and Elizabeth have given you excellent advice. So here goes...
In my opinion an abled bodied man who is unwilling to work or who is underemployed (works p.t. by choice or can't keep a job) and who does not support his family in all aspects (including emotionally) needs to HIT THE ROAD. I realize that some men are stay at home dads or are going to school or persuing a college degree and if that works for the family and is agreeable to all, then by all means.... But when the family is stuggling to make ends meet or the wife has to work two jobs or more, I'm sorry I don't agree with that. Of course I know that at times due to layoffs, illness, this immigration process and such that we may have to work while our husbands are at home; but what I'm talking about is willfull non-support.
Tawana we don't know the extent of your illness; only you and your doctor(s) know that ; however if your health is declining due to this please take whatever steps are necessary to remedy the situation. A man that is so callous as to ignore your family needs is so :( .Counseling is excellent advice as I; believe it or not; feel that marriage should not be taken lightly and preservation should be paramount.
Who knows he may be depressed too,as one of my friends with the same exact issue husband was diagnosed.
Sorry for the rant as this issue is a sore point with me; and Tawana asked for our honest opinions.
********************************************************************************
Now that I've settled down; good morning :) . We are having such a lovely weekend here; like a cool crisp autumn day

You tell him to call Duane......he said the same thing when he was back in JA until I took him to a "ghetto" in San Francicso. He saw all the drug attacks and homeless..... His mouth dropped open....he turned to me and said..."okay you won!!!!  "

His uncle from Brooklyn is in JA right now visiting his children that live in JA. I told him to ask his uncle about the ghettos here in the US. I've seen them everywhere including some places that were the absoluetly beautiful such as in Hawaii, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Paris, Canada, Martinique, Barbados so on and of course JA too. Whenever I go someplace new I want to see how the "real people" live. The only place I did not see one in was Geneva, Switzerland. Perhaps if I looked a little deeper I probably would have found one there too.

He claims we don't have people here that walk around with no shoes. I told him that there are homeless here that may have shoes that somehow remain attached to their feet but have holes so big they may as well not be on their feet. He doesn't understand is that in the winter time being homeless without adequate clothing and shoes or having a home without heat can kill you. Anyways like you said Kim, he'll believe it when he sees it.

Hi Guys!

WOW! You all sound like things are doing so well. I couldn't keep track of all the blessings. I know Julie is about to have the lil bundle of joy, Squitto got a great job, some new men have arrived to be with their sweeties, weddings are planned or have already occurred. Wow. That's all great news. Keep it up ladies. You're a great network that is much needed during this process. And if you ever (finally) plan a link up, please keep my posted. I know Anna, Popcorn, Shemanya or Jamie will keep me in the loop.

Love to you all!

Hi Jill, good to hear from you again. Hope all is well.

Good to hear from you Jill; we miss you!

The only bad part is EVERY time we go down there now, we have to spend SO much money buying stuff for everybody  That's why we spent Sat. shopping. We bought his 2 kids tons of clothes and 3 pairs of shoes each. We bought his dad and one of his cousin's gifts. Still have to find something for his mom and 2 nieces. Help :help:  Every time we go to JA it costs us a TON!!!

 -don't I know it. It'll be really nice for him to see his children though. How's his son doing now?

Thanks everyone for the uplift. I do feel better now. I called him today and we talked and decided that he will come here and if he does not like it he can go back home. What will happen after that I don't know. We've decided that we will cross that bridge when we come to it. So things are back to being somewhat normal.

He'll be fine once he get's here; don't even worry about him not liking it. Afterall he'll be with you. It will take some time to adjust; but they always do. Maybe one day when you can really retire you'll make JA a winter home :)

If I'm not mistaken, Talk America has long distance and international plan where calls to JA (landline and cell) are about 18 cents a minute (unless they went up). A friend of mine has it and I have yet to see such a low cost plan.

www.idt.net has 10 cents a minute to JA cell  (not sure about landline)
