Hello and Congrats to everyone on moving forward in life. I'm new to the community. I joined back in Dec but couldn't figure out how to post. Thanks Gill. In the beginning, I checked the website 2-3 times a week but I've been working a lot lately. Wouldn't you know, my job blocked the website, therefore, I only have access at home. I was determined to post because I wanted to get in on the fun. I look forward to chatting with you all. Please let me warn you in advance. My patois is in the newborn stage smile.gif

In just over a month from now, you will be marrying your heart's joy...the man that inspires, encourages, consoles, and doesn't hesitate to go to the ends of this Earth just to see your smile. In the past, I have been overly protective of my baby sis in Jamaica. It felt good to finally be able to step back and watch the love blossom and grow.

Keep your head up, step tall and never ever stop looking to your side...at your best friend...your lover and your husband. I've got your back now and forever.

How are you? Where did you go? And your next destination?

I'm fine except for a minor sinus infection. I went to NY a few weeks ago. My next destination is a Mediterranean cruise-embarking from Barcelona, Spain> to Nice, France>Rome, Venice, Florence and Pisa, Italy>Split, Crotia>Tunis, Tunisia, Africa. I am determined to bring one carry on suitcase and a small bag. Worst part is that the cruise line I'm traveling on does not have a self serve laundromat. Looks like my room attendant will have to see my hand laundered undies hanging to dry tongue_ss.gif

Hey Guys,

First of All Sunny, darling...CONGRATS!!! You are ON your way!! Lawny, Baby Girl, I am so very sorry for your loss! As always you and your family are in my prayers for peace and healing at this time!

Well Ya'll the DEED is DONE!!! I am officially Mrs. Young...and from now on will be 'Forever Young'...but the same ole Crazy Gill! laughing.gif

The wedding was BEAUTIFUL considering we threw it togher in like TEN days! Ok...the worst part was the DYAM heat...unfortunately..the East Coast was heat with a Bloodcleat HEATWAVE inna early JUNE!!! Just 2 weeks ago it was 40 degrees...whatever.

We didn't let that spoil our day! I was in tears I said recited my vows...because my heart and soul finally felt at ease and knew..."THIS TIME WAS FOREVER!!"

Ken looked so...dyam GOOD!!!! So did our boys!!! Tghe reception was wonderful one of our friends justed opened a new restaurant that hasn't 'officially' been opened as of yet. SO he let us use it! We had a magnificent chef that's GillJamaican by birth, but was culinarily trained in France and London! He is part owner, of the Restaurant...the food was OFF THE HOOK!!!!!

It was very small only 35 of our family and friends...we had no DJ, no mic...but it was so geniune! The speeches moved me to tears...everyone saying how happy they were for us and how proud they were of me for taking a chance on love again!

It was great. Ken and I forgot to bring our camera...thank G-d my friend sent some to me this morning... I wanted to at least post one or 2 pictures...b/c I promised!

Love you all,

Gill

Gill and Ken congrats again; what a beautiful family you have!! star_smile.gif May you stay Forever Young!! good.gif

So, my rant for the day - DJ's son is 5 1/2, and DJ has had custody of him since he was a baby - no one had seen the mother in years, and she hadn't been to see him, no one knew where she was - DJ's Mom has had him, because with his work it was too hard to have a stable home for a little boy - The mother showed up at school and took him, and the school let her take him, so now no one knows where he is. The police are saying they can't do anything because it's his mother. How in the HELL are you going to let anyone take a child, regardless of whether she says she is his mother or not, when you have never met the woman, and know that he doesn't live with her? Why didn't the school at least call someone before they let her take off with him?

Hello everyone,

I have either not been on or just reading and not posting. Two things have been happening with me but I'm back now. I now have two jobs which makes me wonder what was the point of retiring and Trevor is changing his mind about coming here, he wants me to move there. No matter how many ways I explain to him that it will be almost impossible for me to do that, he still ask everytime we talk. So I have been very depressed about this as well as the fact of having to work 2 almost fulltime jobs. I do have some good news though. Both of the I129F and I130 were aprroved. But I guess it doesn't matter if he does not want to be here. Well anyway, I am going to go catch up.

Congrats on the approval Dru. I suspect that Trevor probably is tired of waiting for this ridiculously long process and just wants to be with you as soon as possible; even if that means that you move to JA(my uniformed guess  ). Since it looks like you are finally progressing perhaps he'll change his mind. He can always come and if he still doesn't want to to be here you can decide what to do from there. I know that you have other family obligations and you just can't pick up and move so easily as he suggests, so my heart goes out to you too.
On a personal note, my ex and I considered moving out of state when an excellent oppurtunity came up but I wouldn't leave my terminally ill mom behind. She was in no shape to make a move with us either. Looking back, after her death, we both consider our decision to be the best, even though it caused a lot of friciton at the time.

Kim,
I can't even imagine how difficult it would be to leave children that you're so close to behind. I know that several on this thread have husbands/fiances with children in JA. Perhaps after you're married you can file for an AP along with your AOS and he could visit his children in JA before your trip together in April.
How old are Duane's children?

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaYardies, at home and a farrin' (Part 3)
It's such a beautiful morning here in CT. I am finally feeling at home in my new place now that it's finally starting to look like a home and not a warehouse :hehe:. I'm going to sit on my deck with a cup of coffee, read the paper and enjoy the cool breeze :luv:

BTW Tristan is doing so much better. He is living in a safer place, has met up with a childhood friend, and is therefore not too lonely, and has a job that he enjoys. Things are actually looking up for him and I hope it stays that way while he's in JA.

Good morning (F)

as for me...well i am going to back off for a while until things start rolling again...i have been in a REAL emotional funk for the last month or so...and i just can't deal with living and breathing day by day to see if other people have gotten there rfe approvals and everything else...
so everyone take care!

Shauna, I know it is really discouraging for you especially since you got so far in the process only to have to have to whole process halted. Your feelings are understandable. Sometimes though it's better not to isolate yourself when you're feeling blue; and you know that we're here to support you. It may sound trite if all we have to offer is "hang in there" but we really do wish the best for you and hope for a speedy resolution. If you feel that it's necessary to stay away please know that my thoughts are with you.

Stoping to say hi everyone is asleep and the boys just got back to the villa so I better get off this computer. I have internet for the whole week so I will be checkin One Luv
