Hello Everyone,

My beloved wife has started her first job here in America. Its only part time to start till her pregnancy gets a bit less stressful.
Now she can pay taxes just like everyone else! good.gif

She is working for a local day care in the nursery taking care of 14 new babies!!

What kind of first job did your SO do when she/he first got here in the US?

my first job was a Receptionist in a Pre-school. After a couple of months, I requested to be transferred to a classroom setting as an Assistant Teacher. Last July I gave birth and had my maternity leave. When I came back I was given an assignment in a 2 years old class but I preferably working as an Assistant in a 4 year old class, which happens to be my current job.

why she doesn't have a form 137? if she went to high school she should have this document or could have at least file for a request to get a copy from her school. If the school doesn't have a year book, I'm pretty much sure they have a copy of their graduates or any form of records from the Principal/Registrar's office.

anyways going back to the topic...2 weeks ago after getting my paycheck pumunta kami ni hubby sa mall at pinagpa shopping ko sya for himself para kung ano talaga ang gus2 nya yun ang mabili namin. we went to Toys R Us after to buy gifts for our baby...this is his first Christmas so I hope he'll enjoy ripping off wrappers. As for my hubby's gift for me, he asked me what I want and I said nothing but a card and chocolate covered almond will do...but it was funny because instead of him withdrawing money b4 going for shopping, he used the card to shop and when I checked our bank account, it appears the name of the store...so I basically have an idea of what to get but I might be wrong though.. headbonk.gif

"The word Sinulog comes from the Cebuano adverb sulog which is "like water current movement," which describes the forward-backward movement of the Sinulog dance. The dance consists of two steps forward and one step backward, done to the sound of drums. The dance is categorized into Sinulog-base, Free-Interpretation. Candle vendors at the Basilica continue to perform the traditional version of the dance when lighting a candle for the customer, usually accompanied by songs in the native language.

The Sinulog dance steps were believed to originate from Rajah Humabon's adviser, Baladhay. It was during Humabon's grief when Baladhay was driven sick. He then ordered his native tribe to bring Baladhay into a chapel where the Santo Niño was enthroned. Moments later, surprisingly, Baldhay was heard shouting and was found dancing with outmost alertness. Baladhay was questioned as to whether why was he awake and was shouting. Baladhay explained that he found a small child, pointing to the image of the Santo Niño, on top of him and trying to wake him up. He, at great astonishment, scared the child away by shouting but couldn't explain why he was dancing the movements of the river. Up to this day, the two-steps forward, and the one-step backward movement dance is still used by the Santo Niño devotees believing that it was the Santo Niño's choice to have Baladhay dance."

I met my hubby online and we got a baby. We met 2x and on the 2nd time we met i got pregnant since that we consulted a doctor too. He was married w/ his ex-wife for almost 15yrs and they nver hv there own child coz his ex is not capable of having a child thats y they adopted 2 children frm China. My hubby loves his 2 adopted children so much na nandun sa ex-wife nya ngaun. Ang hindi k lang matanggap ay hindi nya kayang ipagtanggol ang anak namin mismo laban sa ex-wife nya. Now, we got a baby and his ex-wife is so insecure and always confronting him if its really his child. He is still nice w/ his ex coz his ex is using his children against him. And he's scared that his ex wl take the children away from him not the distance but the feelings of the kids against him. The ex is brainwashing d kids mind. Sobrang sakit para sa akn kc hndi nya kmi kayang ipagtanggol laban sa ex nya pti mga ampon nya tanong din ng tanong sa knya. At parang mas mahal nya pa ang ang mga ampon nya compared to his own blood. I even had a fight w/ his ex by email few weeks ago kc hndi k na nakayanan ang sama ng loob ko. Laging ganun ang pinag-aawayan namin kc hndi nya kayang lumaban at ipagtanggol kmi sa ex nya. Iniiyak k na lang ang sama ng loob ko. Pati baby namin iyak ng iyak sa tuwing may argue kmi kht tahimik lang ang pag-aaway namin.

By the way i've been hr since last year and our baby is 5 months old and he was born here. My mother in law is good to me. He said he love me but he can't defend us from his ex. Its been few times too na sinabihan nya akong maghiwalay kami sa tuwing nag-aaway kami but i am not afraid of it. Nagkasala kc siya sa ex niya dati kaya sila naghiwalay. Ilang beses ko na rin syang kinausap kong bakit hindi nya kami kayang ipagtanggol, ang sagot nya sa akin ayaw lang daw nya ng gulo dahil pagod na siya sa kakapunta sa korte. Dahil ang ex niya attorney agad ang punta at dahil maraming pera kaya madali lang para sa kanya. Now i am so confused and tired of crying baka mamatay ako sa atake sa puso sa sobrang sama ng loob. My question is :

If ever we get divorce ma-deport ba ako since that i only have 2 yrs green card ? In that case, can i bring my son with me back to the Philippines ?

Normally it would take a month or 2 from the time the papers forwarded to embassy till you get your packet. All you can do now is to wait for your appointment/packet...keep tracking your case.

not sure how the US embassy system works in your SO's country. Anyhow, had my K1 interview at 7:30 am, I went there 30 minutes before the time. I know of few people who went there 2 hrs. earlier but the guard didn't let them in till its an hour away from their schedule.

Not sure what's the visa procedure in China but I'll do my best to sort this out since I'm also confused of what you said...

All DS forms has to be fill out and submitted during her interview not during medical. I don't know what sealed envelop you are talking about but medical exam would come prior to the embassy interview and after medical all results are strictly confidential and will be forwarded straight to embassy by the attending clinic. they will only give your fiancee a copy of her vaccination that she would later on needed for her AOS once she's already here in US. The sealed brown envelope would come later on if she will be granted with visa.

What did you mean by you send package 3 to the consulate?

You need to submit your ROC within 90-days from your GC expires. That's roughly around March 6th.

If they receive your package earlier than the 90-day window, they will return it.

I do have a quick questions because it's just a curiosity.

The VSC looks to be having a very quick turnaround with the NOA1. Roughly 3 days as dated from receipt. Did any of you keep tracking if payment was cashed and cleared while waiting to actually receive the letter? I am just wondering if they are sending the NOA before checks actually clear.

Like I said, just curious and hoping we get ours just as quick. :)

I really have no idea of how they do their procedures but as you can see in my Timeline, our bank statement appears to be that the check was cleared on April 12 while my NOA1 was dated April 8.
