Philippines1st ultrasound
Today was my first ultrasound at 13 weeks and 1 day. My baby is doing perfectly fine. It was so priceless and brought me into tears. My hubby and parents-in-law was there too. We haven't identified the gender though but hopefully by next month.

Philippinesmoving to cebu
I admire your determination in looking for love despite the failures of your past relationships. But always keep your eyes and ears open with your surroundings incase you really want to pursue your move to Cebu. Most places in Cebu are safe to live and as much as a lot of people are so nice and hospitable but some are just an a-hole and good in taking advantage specially with foreigners.

Goodluck! smile.gif Hope this one is for good.

hi there...

I don't have any advice that i can give because I've never been into this situation but just hang in there and have more faith. Your fiancee need you now more than ever, I'm sure she too is in stress just like you. This whole process is really a pain but it's all worth it once you get there! smile.gif

Philippinessending card to us
I used to send through LBC. 160 pesos for regular mail (way back 2004-2006) which would usually take 15-20 days, if I'm not mistaken it costs 1,000 pesos for door-to-door delivery of which you can track your mail, maybe 3-5 days ( i could be wrong though).

PhilippinesQuestion about age for K1 visa-Philippines
you only have 3 months to wait for her to turn 18. just stretch out your patience for the meantime...and I think though 18 is legal age in the Philippines, you still need the parents consent on you petition.

PhilippinesTrying to get Pregnant!
Ever since me and my husband got married we've never really use any contraceptives. After 1 year and 2 months we started to worry and wonder if there's something wrong to either one of us until last November 29, 2008 of early morning (after a week that I was delayed), my hubby went to pharmacy as early as 8 am just to buy a pregnancy test and woke me up just to pee (first pee in the morning has the higher pregnancy hormone).....within 3 minutes I was just staring the kit and can't believe of what I had read....plus sign (POSITIVE) wow.gif. By the ways, I'm 30 and hubby's 40.

QUOTE (andrew&evelyn @ Feb 15 2009, 02:21 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I'm in a waiting period wether im pregnant or not. Had my LMP Jan 10th...had contact 2 weeks after.... And I'm expecting my period Feb 10...so far I'm 5 days delayed. Took 2 HPT last Thursday and Friday and came out both positive. Went to hospital yesterday for walk in pregnancy test, but until now they don't have the result yet. Hubby and I believe we are preggy...but we are so scared to celebrate yet as we don't want to put our hopes high until we got a confirmation from the professional.

What do you think? We are not preggy or not?

your LMP was jan. 10, so your possible ovulation period is from Jan. 20-30 based on this ovulation calendar...

http://www.americanp...r...2009&cycle=

big possibility that you really are pregnant plus both of your HPT are positive. I'm happy for you! smile.gif

hello vj's! i dunno where to post this question so hopefully sumbody can give their ideas or experiences...my first day of LMP was jan 5 but no contact after that & until now no period yet...last sexual contact was between dec 24 to jan 2...is there ay possibility that i'm pregnant? i had regular monthly period before jan 5...hoping to hear from anybody's experience...thanks!

I can only speak in behalf of my friend's situation. Her last sexual contact was Nov. and around December she had her period for a couple of days. After a week she had another spotting. January to Feb. she missed her period and took a HPT...it was sooo positive!

In my case, since I have start working I've been so stressed out so there were months were I'm delayed for a week until November of last year that I was delayed for 2 weeks and my appetite has been increasing and i've started to noticed a little bit changes in my body. True enough, I'm 4 months pregnant now! kicking.gif

PhilippinesNSO birth certi.
I have a friend and she just recently found out that there was a descrepancy of her birth date in her NSO birth certificate. Instead of May it was October. She also filed for Cenomar and it turns out that it was under May.

What are the procedures that she needs to undergo for correction? How much does it cost?

Any help is deeply appreciated!

PhilippinesGetting SSN before or after marriage?
I filed my SSN before I got married because of these reasons:

1. on my marriage certi. they need my SSN
2. after getting married we applied joint bank account
3. to avoid any possible problems with I-94 expiration date

Anyways, after you get married, changing name is just easy.

Philippinesstraight talk about sex
QUOTE (Brijo @ Jul 26 2009, 03:39 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I hope this isnt too forward a subject, but frankly I dont know where else to talk about this at.

Me and my wife got married in January 2008. The day of our marriage, she was going to go "home" which was 45 minutes away, so she could teach at her school the next day. The only reason she didnt do that is because it affected me so much, on our wedding day, that I cried.

We are together now. To this day I have not seen her naked. When we make love, the lights all have to be out. She wont let me touch her sexually unless we make love, and then only on her breasts. It really affects me....... We go round and round about this.

Is it cultural? Am I an idiot to be so affected? It is affecting our relationship.

Am very serious with this topic.

Thanks

you're not an idiot and it's fine to ask questions like this atleast you have had outpoured your emotional baggages. You might get some harsh comments from some moron people here though. Anyways, like most of them said, your problem doesn't rooted from cultural thing instead this could be more of personal and psychological issue. Have you asked your wife yet? asking her might not be the easiest way to do either but be persistent and patient and give an assurance that no matter what you're there for her and to understand. I may not have the same problem as you do but for a couple of months of my marriage I had a hard time to be emotionally open to my hubby too and talk things over. I assumed that he could "read my mind" but I learned later on that the only time that I could be heard of is for me to communicate.

Good luck! Hope all things work well on your other end. smile.gif

i heard about lots of good comments about Diane Pills. Birth control cya and at ang side effects eh puputi ka at kikinis mukha mo. Yung barkada ko dati nagkaroon ng hormonal imbalance tas niresetahan cya ng Diane Pills (Php500) she took it for 3 months pero during her 3 months eh lalo cya kuminis although makinis naman talaga cya tapos kapag naaarawan ay nagrorosy cheeks pa biggrin.gif isa pa eh hindi nakakataba. you can try to ask your OB about it if you want smile.gif

Btw, ibefore leaving the country eh magbaon ka na ng maraming pills kasi dito sa US eh hindi ka makakabili nyan unless with prescription. Sa Pinas mabibili mo Diane pills over the counter pati na rin yung iba pang pills. I read someone here na nakapagdala cya ng pills and never did encountered any prob i just don't know on how much pills you can bring smile.gif

talaga pink? I didn't know na kailangan mo nang prescription to buy birth control pills...

Is it true that one of side effects in using birth control pills is increasing in boobs size? blush.gif (well I just read it in some articles)

Hello Everyone,

My beloved wife has started her first job here in America. Its only part time to start till her pregnancy gets a bit less stressful.
Now she can pay taxes just like everyone else! good.gif

She is working for a local day care in the nursery taking care of 14 new babies!!

What kind of first job did your SO do when she/he first got here in the US?

Phil

my first job was a Receptionist in a Pre-school. After a couple of months, I requested to be transferred to a classroom setting as an Assistant Teacher. Last July I gave birth and had my maternity leave. When I came back I was given an assignment in a 2 years old class but I preferably working as an Assistant in a 4 year old class, which happens to be my current job.
