IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	USCIS Immigrant Fee	Right. But you can use anyone's card to pay the fee.    I had an ELIS account to pay my IV fee, but I used my husband's US credit card to actually pay the transaction. No issues. Very common, in fact, because a lot of immigrants don't have a credit card the the system will accept. Thank you so much lost_at_sea.. This is what I wanted to hear... Because on that page, under HOW TO PAY THE FEE, it says: "Attorneys, accredited representatives, and employers are not authorized to create a USCIS ELIS account on your behalf to pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee". It's called "registration number" on the visa, so don't panic when you don't see "A number".   As for when to pay, USCIS recommends before leaving for the US, so there's no delays. But, if the fee can't be paid before, then it can be paid after the beneficiary has immigrated, it'll just cause a delay in receiving the green card. But, with the stamp in the passport and the visa, in conjunction they act as a temporary green card for up to a year, so. I turned 16 in April, 2001 (04-2001). Just say your call got dropped from the Tier 2 agent if you have to call again and speak to the Tier 1 and they won't harass you, but just transfer you. I said I was concerned something was wrong with my case bc I hadn't heard anything since Sept and got 3 emails and wanted to know if I had to do anything. Just play the ignorant card. lol     That's what I did. Is ok I have a feeling is in Cali so I will wait the connection is a pain. Still I am pretty Happy finally we are getting some action!! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2013 I-130 Filers	Oh, I'm not too worried about being transferred, I know it'll happen soon enough, but it was just everything piling on top of me (including this separation and waiting), I thought I could handle it on my own, but it looks like I can't always be proud and not let things get to me, because they do and I just sorta file them away. My hubs was not a happy bunny when I told him about it either. lol Thanks for your kindness.   And yes, hopefully we'll hear something soon for 9/11 - 9/19!!     You should not be embarrassed at all! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2013 I-130 Filers	I was telling my hubby about the transfers last night and said that hopefully we'll be transferred in early March!   Yes we will!    It looks like they transferred up to August 27th last night! Sooooo if another transfer is done this week I'm thinking we'll start to get some September movememt! I was jolted awake at 5am because I had a dream USCIS texted me that my case got transferred (alas, it was just a dream!) - sending good vibes to everyone here! :-D   Wonderful dream! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2013 I-130 Filers	There's a lot of debate over whether the K3 visa is good for anything (generally speaking, it's not). And even if it were, it's not likely to help you now - they're sitting at a theoretical 5 month processing time for K3s, and the clock wouldn't start until you applied.   So the only option to bring him over for a visit before your IR1/CR1 process is complete is a tourist visa. And that's not guaranteed, by any stretch of the imagination. They may well refuse him one.    But even if they do refuse the tourist visa you're just in the same boat you were in before: waiting for the spousal visa. So if you can afford it, why not take a chance. Being denied a tourist visa does not affect your application.    Thank you!  I appreciate it. I guess I will try for the tourist one and wait it out. Crossing our fingers that by some miracle they approve the tourist one and that  our IR1/CR1 gets done soon!          Just a small clarification on your terminology... when you stated you filed and it was received and 'approved', it was not approved, it was a Notice of Action (NOA1).  Approval will refer to the NOA2:) And I wish you luck on getting a tourist visa!     Thank you Lakehouse! I file my petition like everyone here on September and it was received and approved now is in Initial review. I called the USCIS last week to see what was going on and they are on the March files still! Anyways I have a question, me and my husband are in Egypt at the moment and I will like to travel with him back home for a few weeks he doesn't have any type of visa and I was confused if I should file for a Tourist Visa for him or the K-3. Any ideas, what should I do? Or do I have to wait until the I-130 process is done so we can travel? Thank you and sorry for the question is very confusing this process for me!
