K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNVC Arrivals from Last Week's Batch of CSC NOA2

Our NOA2 was 7 Nov and NVC got it 5 Dec and sent it out to the consulate yesterday so we waited a month.


Sure hope I don't have to wait a month.

E-mail response says nothing in their sys as of Fri. Hopefully with the recent wave of approvals the box is getting full and CSC will soon send it off to NH. Fingers crossed.


Yay! Just called NVC. They already had my petition in the system and gave me a case #. USCIS only gave me an electronic NOA on Nov 30, so things are moving fast!


Thats great :thumbs: :dance: Mine was approved on the same day. I called today, and they haven't received it yet.
Hopefully they'll get it by the end of the week.

That is awesome. We are just a couple of weeks apart. Follow my timeline. Search my log in for updated info regarding the new embassy location. Fiancee went yesterday to pick up Packet #3 & it was wild. You will need to have an appointment in order to go to the information window now. You cant just show up as the previous posters could. (Darn it). You can call for an appointment or send email request. Good luck. Lets keep each other up to par on what is happening. I wish you a smooth transition.

I have a question: how do we know the date NVC got our petition? My fiancé emailed them, NVC said they have it, but didn't say when they got it.


I asked when it was received and she told me, but when I asked her for the info to track it... She told me I would receive the infomation in the mail... Well I'm still waiting. I'll be calling them after the Holidays asking for the info again.

When you call NVC again, talk to a customer service agent. My case never registared through the automated service :no: I called for about a week. I finally decided to talk to a live person and she told me that my case had been mailed out that morning to the Embassy. A few days later I called again just to see if the recording would say my case had been mailed out.... But it said they had no record of my file :wacko:

From my understanding... Most cases are there for such a short time that it doesn't register through the automated service. Mine was only there for 2 days. Go through the prompts that will lead you to a operator. Hopefully you'll get some good news!!

interesting question. i have not had to supply the address of any of my relatives or my fiancee's relatives. how would the CO ever know that she was living there or that the address was any other then her own?

I was wondering if she used her mother in laws address if the following infomation would pertain to her??

Even though she is not living with the in law... Could it not be percieved by USICS that she is by using the address?


When you fill out the DS230, it asks for info for your fiancee and parents. Address, birthday, address etc... Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying she can't or shouldn't use it. I was just asking and showing some of the red flag issues.

This is not good. If she is unhappy here and wants to go home then he should send her. This to me would be a red flag as to the kind of person "he" is. It seems that maybe he is controlling. I hope that if she has made up her mind that she is not happy and wants to go home, that he will finally understand that, and help her out.


After giving some more thought to the orignal post, I realized that my statement of "red flags" calling this man "controlling" was unfair. We don't really know why she wants to go back, and it could simply be home sickness, which in time I truly hope passes for her. Thinking of my own SO, I wouldn't want to send him back so quickly either. I am sure he will go through culture shock and will miss his home, friends, and family. I will do everything I can to make the transition as comfortable as I can.

I brought my pictures in manila embassy but they told me to glue it before i passed to their counter.. So my advised "GLUE YOUR PICTURES TO YOUR FORM" I just had interviewed last feb 23, 2007 in USembassy manila. Good luck!

They didn't look at one shred of evidence - photos, chat logs, phone bills, nothing. They asked him 3 questions: what's her name, what kind of job does she have, and what do you plan on doing once you move. He got the last vaccination he needed and went back to the doctor, when he asked for the vaccination supplement she told him that she was going to give it to him without him asking. Sheesh, talk about easy! Hopefully it'll be that easy for me to find an apartment so he can move here ASAP! :D :dance: Thanks for all the help and patience everyone! :D

We got married today at Oakland California city hall and it was a breeze. Highly reccomend getting the paperwork done first and planning a ceremony/party for later. drinking champagne and very happy. now we can apply for AOS,EAD, and planning a party for April. Good luck to all.
