MSN saves chat logs as an .xml file. You can import that file into Excel. I did that got the format to look they way i wanted it and then changed the margins to get the max lines per page. After that do a "find" on specific words and delete the rows or just browse through and delete them.

Hopes this helps

Unless a chat log is clearly in its original format it isn't "evidence". Redacting is fine. Chat logs and transcripts need only be examples anyway and none are required with the petition. They can be saved for the interview.

Hmmmm that's an interesting thought. In my cleaned / optimized format i have 200 printed pages of chat logs. I'm wondering if that along with everything else just helps "cover the bases" during the interview process.

Thoughts?

Once you've cleaned an optimized the text, it's just text. Evidence would be screen shots showing the original format with date stamps etc. 200 pages would be far too many, even if evidence. Use examples not tree killing piles of paper nobody has time to read. Chat logs are used top demonstrate you communicated regularly over a period of time.

200 is a lot, but mine were 900+ pages. blink.gif

I called the customer service number in the denial letter and it was a letter from the USCIS. They were denied very early on before it got to the NVC or the consulate.

Can't help at all unless we know what the reasons were for denial. It could be minor like missing paperwork, lack of fee, etc, to major that a background check showed it to be ineligible.

They don't deny for this reason.

Hi again. I am almost ready to submit the I-129F once I get back to Puerto Rico. My fiancee asked me if the fact that she's unemployed since November 2006 can affect somehow her interview, whenever it happens, because while reading the embassy reviews, specifically the one in Romania, she read some of the questions that were asked and found that 2 people were asked about why they were unemployed. I don't know what to answer her to ease her mind so I hope I can get some help here

Many thanks in advance.

PEACE..........

Was she going to school during that time? If so, she could just say she was a full time student. Can she find a part-time job to keep up until the interview? This way she could have an answer to the question. I think what they want is to determine that they are sending a skilled person, able to work, not to become a public charge.

I was unemployed too when i had my interview and they didnt asked me about that at all but it depends maybe they will ask it now a days.Maybe the best she can do is go back to school or get a part time job just rainschild2007 said.

No you cannot. If your case is pending now, it sounds like you already did. Did you?

Thank you so much for those information. Yes, my case is pending (with out any economic conflict). I filed the case on Oct. 2007. The attorney at law said I will be free to marry after June and he also said I should receive the final certificate within six months but I still have not receiving my final certificate. Any suggest would be appreciated. Again, thank you so much. J

After June of what year...2008? IMHO you will have problems, methinks. Not having any economic conflict hasn't anything to do with you filing without including proof you were legally free to do so.

Just MHO of course. biggrin.gif

Yes, June, 2008.

I am a petitioner. So, I believe I have to wait till I get the final certification.

Does anyone knows how long would take to finalize the paper for divorce?

Thank you. smile.gif

I've searched and searched guides and instructions, and can't find an answer to this one. If I'm overlooking it somewhere, I apologize.

I'm filling out the I 129f right now and though this should be an easy question, I'm stumped...

On town of birth (yes, I'm seriously questioning my town of birth!) my birth certificate states "Mather AFB" (which no longer exists) but the base was in Rancho Cordova, California. Do I put what's on the BC or do I put the actual town?! Or does it even matter?

You can put Mather AFB Sacramento Ca. When you where born thats what it was referred too  Rancho Cordova just became a city a few years ago ;)

Do you think being of the same nationality speeds or helps the whole K-1 Fiance process? My fiance and I are the same nationality, there is a year age difference. We are the same nationality but from 2 different areas and me online in a chat room.

Also does having a good income help the process also? I do well over 60K plus bonus. Should I show savings to be safe or should I just use income.

I have not filed yet and am nervous about the timefram it will take.

Nationality be it the same or different won't speed up the process.

hi everyone,

Im just curious....
will it jeopardize or in any way will affect our K1 application if we're planning to get married in the Phils by this coming July?
according to VJ, our NOA2 might be adjucted by July 15,2007.
we just want to have this simple wedding ceremony since both our families are in the Phils. For sure you know how happy it will be - to celebrate this love with close friends & family.

any opinion will be highly appreciated...

thank you very much in advance!

 Recieved both I-130 & I129F ? She will have headache  You can copy her if you want to take the risk. . Have a good time..

QUOTE (Shub @ Oct 7 2007, 12:04 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
USCIS has a decent set of safeguards against immigration fraud, but if you do all the paperwork right, and you're good enough (have the willpower) to fake a bona fide marriage for years (literally), then you can probably get through. True enough, a mere year is not enough these days. With the K-1 visa alone taking months (on average) to get approved, the subsequent Adjustment of Status process, and Removal of Conditions 2 years after Adjustment of Status, you have to be willing to commit for a long time if you want to get into the US that bad.

He was tell me that there are new laws to stop this scam. That you have to be married for an X number of years or if the marriage will end before that then the woman or man would have to go back to their native country. I have heard of these scams for many years and thank God they do not pertain to me. But is this true? I don't think I have read about this anywhere. I would love to tell my friend if this is true or not.. Oh and he has been happly married for 18 years. Jeff

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCHECK UP ON YOUR ATTORNEY
QUOTE (Queen Jenn @ Oct 8 2007, 11:46 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
If any of you have an attorney, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK ANY FORMS THEY SUBMIT FOR YOU!!!!!

My SO and I were going to file our K1 back in January. I hired an attorney because I thought it would give me peace of mind. My attorney had prepared the G325A and given me the copies to send for signature. Then my SO and I had some things we had to work out, so we decided to wait to file the petition.

My SO has now moved and I needed to update the G325A form because I should have everything ready to submit the application next month. I was reading through the one my attorney had prepared and there were SEVERAL MISTAKES. I can't believe that I paid them several hundred dollars and there were so many mistakes on the form. I had given them ALL the information they needed and they didn't do it right. They misspelled my fiance's name. They had two of his residence addresses incorrect. They had the wrong year for one of his employers. They left a black hole between two of his employment entries. They had put the last employment in 2000 and then the next on in 2007. NOTHING FROM 2000 to 2007. That surely would have generated and RFE.

The moral to my story is that if you DO have an attorney, STILL TRIPLE CHECK THE FORMS. They can have typos and they can make mistakes that can generate an RFE and drag the process out several months.

I've fired the attorney and am going this on my own.

This is common. Its happened to a friend of mine
. few(5) erroneous blink.gif She sent it back to their lawyer..and redo everything..She has her visa now.

My SO did all the worked for I-129F and I did AOS applications. Everything turned out good.

For the K-1 visa, you need the I-134 in the visa process, and then you would use I-864 later in the AOS process. And there is no charge associated with those forms, at least not for K-1.

Just needed to process the papers.

Certain individuals born outside of the United States are born citizens because of their parents, according to the principle of jus sanguinis (which holds that the country of citizenship of a child is the same as that of his / her parents). The U.S. Congress is responsible for enacting laws that determine how citizenship is conveyed by a U.S. citizen parent or parents according to the principle of jus sanguinis. These laws are contained in the Immigration and Nationality Act.
