If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have received interview scheduling instructions."   So i'd take it to mean that the consulate has received the file - yesterday it didn't say that...this change is 3 days after our case number was available from NVC.   I hope that helps.   Btw, select 'Immigrant Visa' for K1   Thank you very much for the info i checked and mine says the same thing as yours and i called DOS and they told me the consulate had received it already You cant really because there is no way to tell if it was yours or not. Just a general package with the date and place. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Packet	Hello! I was wondering if anyone could tell me about how long it took for thier Packet to Get to the embassay thier spouse is in. My husband is in guatemala and I am trying to pin point some kind of wait time for this part and can not find anything....I am signing the paper work on Friday the 13th (I know wish me Luck) and then they will send them out the following monday...   Once they recieve this packet how long does it take for them to contact the beneficiary??? I am just looking for an estimated wait time, thank you all! !!!         Hi  KmOm0629, Mines took only a day to get to guatemala they sent it one day and got it the next it was pretty fast but I dont know if it was normal for that to happen. what i did was i payed for the interview apointment online as soon as i called DOS and they verified the packet was there. Since you have to wait till next day to see what they have open i did that and there was no dates avaiable so i called the embassy in guatemala and told them about it and that i wanted a date they will tell you to wait but you can ask them if they can escalate your petition for a date the i was contacting them everyday they some will hang up on you and some are very nice but dont give up. they are really quick answering emails as well. National Visa Center (Dept of State)	Did I get a false checklist?	I called the NVC today and they told me to ignore the checklist. I double verified with them to make sure they did not want me to send the stuff again and they said to ignore the emailed checklist. They said it happens often.   Is your case complete yet? They save first name is my mom last name, and the last name is my mom first name. How can I correct it?   In the email they send me about 864 fees. Use adjusted gross income from the 1040EZ if you filed it, or total income from your 1040/other form.   Because I join tax with my husband, so the total income is not my individual income . Hopefully shes right and i wont waste time thinking everything its good   I had the same situation like you 2 days before they asked my birth certificate.... The checklist show 3 missing documents so I'm not sure that is the false checklist. I wonder if the civics documents have not been reviewed yet, the missing should include another documents like beneficiary's birth certificate...   It is very hard for me to understand what are they doing. My original birth certificate is in hand-written. It is easy to see it is the original.   But I'm still hope this is the false checklist. I always received the email from NVC around 1-2Pm (PST).   Hope I got the correct answer. They already have these documents!   I just called them and the NVC representative told me missing documents like yours too, and she told me my AOS package was accepted, my civics documents have not been reviewed.   I guess they have the checklist about all needed documents and because have not reviewed the civics, therefore their checklist show missing files. That my assumption.   And I'm not worry about it. How long does it take to get email?   I called this morning and I'm very sad because for some reasons, my completed date is changed to 06/17 (instead of 05/29). They said that they received the mail with the new passport . WTH since I don't receive any checklist and send any email. I only sent my IV package on 05/02   I called last week and the completed date is still 05/29 but today everything changes . I asked the request to review my complete date this morning and now I don't want to touch anything. After you have recieved your I-601 approval,  How long is it taking to get your instructions, I hear that there is a 60 day wait on instructions, which is crazy, I know for sure that after the consulate recieves your approval they will contact you in 5 days...How long is everyone waiting, or has waited, Most have waitted about 10 days...But what about those who havent, post your country you are applying to please, as well as the Approval time to date receieved instructions..there is no time line on this ANYWHERE...thank you!  My Husbands approval was July 14th, and it is August 20, 2014 and we are still waiting on instructions, we have been told it may take up to 90 days, after that we can file a status request to have them investigate the issue...other wise we have to wait..the lawyer has tried everything, I sent the scanned copy of approval and that was not good enough, they want the original from USCIS before they will proceed to give him instructions to pick up his visa....   I would wing it and set up an interview take the original aprooved letter to them when i went with my fiance to the interview i saw a guy say that he was aproved they asked for the letter he didnt have it so they told him to wait it would have been different if he had the approval notice. If i were you i would give it a shot and take the approval notice to them you never know  unless you try of course he will probably need a new medical and new policiacos and penales something like that. just try it you never know unless you give it a shot besides the medical is good for a year.
