I will have to add, if I had been present for her interview, we would not have this delay. The Consulate Officer would have had me there to answer any questions he had. I did send the notarized statement today, I don't care much for delays. It is advisable for Fiance's and spouses to attend interview if there is any way possible, it will help to eliminate any possible delays and help keep the poor ladies calm. good.gif But I am happy, at least she did get her approval and not an assignment to the AR dungeon. yes.gif

Kenny

just a question why u did not include the daughter in the forms ? its ok even u dont get them at same time ? and CONGRATULATION also

It was a mistake on my part and I did not catch it until after I had submitted the Visa petition.

PhilippinesPassport/visa required for CFO Seminar?
Is an appointment needed for the Seminar? I've seen the schedule on their website, but I did not see where it was required to Sign up for the Seminar in advance. Thanks for your help.

PhilippinesDenied today, worst day of my life
I find this whole ordeal so wrong. When I joined the Military, U.S. Navy, I had many friends that were asked a few questions concerning the use of drugs. As a teenager, many did try Marijuana and admitted it. They were given a waiver and then issued the highest clearance available. They were given access to the most sensitive information our government and military had. To this day they are not allowed to visit countries such as Russia or China.

Now can someone tell me where the justification is? If they can be granted a waiver and be given access to such sensitive areas of our country, surely a couple that is in love, with no intended malice, should be able to fullfil their dreams and live their life in happiness. Otherswise the American dream is dead!! mad.gif

I know it's not helpful, just voicing my opinion.

helpsmilie.gif helpsmilie.gif My finacee was denied her visa today. At her medical they asked about drug use and she said she took some kind of drug 4 years ago to get thu a rough time in her life and she was denied her visa because of it. Any thing I can do to fix this and get her to us? I have never felt so bad in my life, all my hopes and dreams are gone.

Hi Larry, I felt heart broken when I read you post. I have been anticipating this interview with a certain excitement because I expect Jenn and Emma to develop a close friendship while here in the U.S.

Nothing is lost, only your options have changed. You actually have 2 choices to make and they will be tough for you, they will sure enough change your life. Either move there with her or Support her and visit her on a regular basis. I hope you can come to a quick decision and not lose hope. This girl needs you and I know you love her so good luck and don't let go.

PhilippinesWho among you have tried eating BALUT?
I was introduced to Balut in 1990 when I made my first visit to PI. Being the fine southern boy that I am, I took it as a challenge. I swallowed my 1st one and found it was not so bad. At least it was cooked! If you can eat fresh oysters you can eat Balut. good.gif good.gif

I really can't wait to be interviewed and finally be reunited to my wifey!! So without my original passport and visa I took the chance to go to SMEF-COW in Quezon City and finally have my counseling session.

star_smile.gif 1. I arrived there at exactly 7:30 coming from Pasig- had to beat the traffic from Manggahan going Ligaya to get a jeepney bound for Cubao.

2. at the waiting area, names are called one by one to register. I presented my orig birth certificate, 2 IDS and copy of passport, paid 250.00, we signed registration form for counseling a few second pause in front of webcam for the digital shot, and we were sent to the viewing room on the 2nd floor at exactly 8:30for the orientation - explaining the rationale about the purpose of the counseling, the background of SMEF-COW/CFO, ETC.

3. The focus of the TV viewing is on domestic violence experienced by women.

4. By 9:30, we were sent to another for group counseling by country of destination but we were only entertained after 30 minutes of waiting for the volunteer counselor. ( Thanks God, the old lady is nice.) Here, domestic violence is reiterated, after which you are allowed to ask a question or clarification.

5. Kinds of visas were also explained one by one.

6. travel advisory was also explained. ( copies were given out, though )

7. haaaaaaaay, after an hour, the one-on-one session was given. ( FYI: the lady counselor is so particular about middle name of fiancee/fiance, all you need to do is to fill-out correctly and completely the registration form they give you. After that yo will be asked some of the items you have filled-out.

8. Finally, i had my Guidance and Counseling Certificate of Attendance. I went down stairs to submit the counseling registration form filled out earlier with the certificate ( for the complete name to be printed on the form ).
9. need to photocopy the attendance certificate in duplicates. ( FYI: PHOTOCOPY MACHINE IN THE CENTER IS OUT-OF-ORDER, SO ONE NEEDS TO CROSS THE BOULEVARD TO GET TO THE NEAREST PHOTOCOPY SHOP, around 50 meters )
10. yay!!! we have to beat 12 pm break. We ran to the CFO to pay again??????????? 400 ( prepare the exact amount ) for another certificate to secure the CFO STICKER.
11. FINISHED!!! I will be back after my visa is issued for my sticker!!! please pray for my interview on the 7th of February! I WAS STARVING blink.gif SO I BOARDED THE FIRST JEEPNEY THAT STOPPED OUTSIDE THE CENTER BOUND FOR CUBAO. I treated myself with vegemeat courtesy of BODHI and spinach... he he he he he

F Y I again:

good.gif Don't forget to photocopy all the documents required for you to bring.
( i told you their photocopy machine is not functioning - just need to be sure )

no.. after the interview the CO tell me that everything is ok but i need the acknowledgement letter.. stay outside and please wait for your name to be called" after my name called at window 37.. they gave me a pink slip for visa fee and the white slip together with my passport telling me that i passed it at window 17-20 together with the acknowledgement letter from my husband?

Oh I see. Did you have the acknowledgment letter with you that day and have passed it to the window where you were told to pass it? I think they were concern of your baby and need the consent/acknowledgment duly signed by your husband that both of you agreed to leave the baby in your mother's care and will petition her in due time.

right now.. wla pa ung acknowledement letter. nasa training pa ung husband ko.. pero sabi kahit hindi notary basta letter from my husband.. thanks RyaNRiza

hintay ka 2 weeks,I passed acknowledgement letter Dec. 10, 2007 na released sa Embassy Dec. 22, then deliverd by Delbros 26 ng Dec medyo na delayd kasi Christmas holiday.

we went thru the same experience,I think u need to ask acknowledgement letter from your fiance and make sure its notarized..He will fedex it to you and u take it back to Embassy..your visa will arrive within 2 or 3 weeks...ganun din nangyari sa akin kasi nagkamali ako sa question sa akin kung acknowledged ba ng fiance ko ang aking mga anak...kunting mali another documents pero di ka na mahirapan submit mo lang sa Embassy ang kanilang hinihingi.

so kelangan ko ring ipanotarized.. kc i ask first sa releasing officer kung nakanotarized.. she told me kahit wala na kc wla naman daw nakasulat sa white slip.. thanks..

yap,yes.
kailangan ..talaga,talaga. take note notarized d2 sa USA.at pag nag submit ka huwag be sure on time ka kasi 1 hour lang po ang pag submit ng mga documents na hinhingi nila..if appointment mo 2 p.m kailangan dun ka na kasi after 3 di ka na nila papasukin.

ganun ba! after that what happen next?
