K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA2 - How long after that?	Hey guys I can't believe it - we just got our NAO2 today by mail and email notification! We only filed like 3 weeks ago! So what happens now - how long does it take from here on in (by other people's experience)?? I looked at the time lines and I am figuring on 3 months max - but we have learned in the past not to count our chickens! We're so excited! One step closer everyday! Good luck to everyone else! Congrats!! Great to see a quick one from Vermont where I will be filing in March! Toward that end, please do us a favor and complete your timeline! It helps others to calculate how much time you'll need. From what I've seen with UK filers it is approximately 3 months to get to the interview after the London cosulate reveives your file. You are lucky the NOA1 wasn't send back due to the error, so it should be corrected to ensure all your immigration related mail will get through to your address. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Student visa denial and I-129F	ok thanks ! However, as part of the denial they never give any reason. They only stamp the passport with the Rejected stamp and I think some code there. So basically we dont know the absolute technical reason (but can intuit the reason as being not able to prove enough strong ties to come back). Have your fiancee tell you what numbers they stamped in her passport, as you may actually need to prepare for a waiver. Once you know the number they stamped, you should go to the waiver forum and ask around for more detailed info on how to prepare the waiver, if necessary. Best of luck! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Student visa denial and I-129F	My fiancee (actually before we were engaged) tried to come to US on student visa last year and the student visa was denied at moscow consulate. Does this have any negative impact on I-129F petition/process? For fiancee visa now, would the consular (it would be moscow consulate again) be mentioning/grilling her on the student visa case? anything to keep in mind? thank you !! Yes. Keep in mind that forms that your fiancee will need to fill out will ask her if she has ever been denied a Visa to the US. Based on your statement above, she must answer yes to this question. You should never lie about these things! With that said, it probably wont impact an approval, unless they think she is just using you to get into the US. You should look in your area for something similar. The International Institute is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian agency affiliated with Immigration and Refugee Services of America (IRSA), which unites 36 similar Institutes across the country. The International Institute is a United Way Agency. I'm not sure if there is onje in your area, but htere may be a similar agency that could help you.
