My case status changed today. I got all excited when I saw the email but it was only an A-# change notification:

On December 4, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

I was under the impression that this only happened when you've also filed I-129F but I guess this is not so (I haven't). BTW, my wife does not have an ARN and I suppose this means they've assigned her one.

i got one like that too and so did my sister.
Hello my fellow March Filers!!

Ok, I got the notifications like everyone else but with my notice of transfer to CSC (booooo, the slowest out of the four) on 29 Oct. i also got something a little extra. I didn't pay attention til now but I got another piece of paper call "Supplement to I-130 Transfer Notice Issue by the NBC". It states something like this:

If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from the service center within 60 days, please call 1-800-USCIS-Sucks (ok I made that number up, it is just their number) or submit an inquiry using e-request at
https://egov.uscis.g...request/Case.do

Did anyone get that extra piece of paper too? What you guys think it means? Perhaps they are moving mine up to the top part of the pile maybe? Any inputs is welcome.

You would do it on uscis.gov.
You can track your case regardless of if you sign up, but when you sign up, you can see the last touched date as well as turn email and text notifications on in case the paper one you submitted gets ignored (it happens)

You are supposed to send copies with your I-130 and they do not have to be notarized.

Hello I have registered at USCIS.gov site, when I enter my receipt number MSCXXXX I get message that case not found, please advise if I am not sure what is going on here

Message I get is...

Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283.

Yes, that is your NOA1. Look under receipt number. It should say MSCXXXXXXXX. Under that is you Priorty date.

Yes I see the receipt number and priority date of jan 18th. I see some folks suggesting to register with CSIC and provide your case # so yiou can track online can I do this here ??

Second question I sent colored copy of my passport and naturlization certificate however they are neither certified or notarlized would this be a problem for me ??

Please advise

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionMarriage not working out

Please help.  I went on this forum and got two replies, do not know if they were possibly accurate or not.  My wife has the two year conditional greencard.  We have been married for 9 months now and she packed a few bags and left my home about two weeks ago.  Our bank account she put in a change of address, and she will communicate very, very little with me since she left.  But, I am almost 100% sure she is not coming back.  We did have a disagreement but nothing that would warrant her not coming back to me.

She has put in a change of address for things we had to do with the USCIS, her employer, the bank account, her two credit cards she acquired, etc, which is to lead me to assume she is not coming back.  I have expressed to her, and pleaded with her to come back, but to no avail.  She is Filippino and I believe she moved in with a Filippino Co-worker.  Anyways, I was told here on this forum the USCIS dont care, and that I do not have to notify them of any change in status.  If this is so, then why do they call it an Conditional Green card, and we have to notify them of any change of addresses.

I do believe, but, I dont know for sure, she has had this plan from the start of when she arrived here in the U.S.. But, I am sure she is not coming back to our marriage.

Anyone out there can give, some expectation of good advice.  Should I file for divorce? The the USCIS have to be notified about her not living with me anymore, we are I believe separated, but not legally.

I think she used me, and if she did, getting a divorce , would it make it difficulty on her for when she applies for the Unconditional card, or does it not make any difference.

I can not afford the divorce, but I can do it legally on line without an attorney because there would be no contesting it, there are no children, no assests, no alimony, no child support, no houses, no cars.

Would the divorce be more in my favor to make it hard for her Unconditional green card, if not, then maybe I should just leave it alone, and let her do what she wants and live her life.

Please help, with any common sense advice if possible, please.   Do I notify the USCIS, or does it not matter that they know the change of circumstances, and would the divorce be beneficial for her or for me when it comes time to apply for her Unconditional Green card

Thank you for any help

That really sucks, I'm sorry.

I don't see any advantage to not immediately filing for divorce, as long as you are emotionally comfortable with the decision.  By remaining married, you are legally liable for debts she aquires.  I personally do not see any advantage to remaining married under these circumstances.  You need to quickly take steps to seperate your lives (including financial...do you really want her to have continued access to your bank account balance?).  I am not familiar with Wyoming laws but many states are community property states, which extends to both assets and debts.

As for the immigration side of things, unless you have good proof she entered into the marriage for fraudulent reasons I don't see any benefit to notifying USCIS. She can adjust status on her own, divorced or otherwise.  Sure, you can notify them of the change in circumstances, but it will be up to her to adjust status.  At this point what is done is done - the best you can do is limit your future liability via divorce.

Best of luck.

They're right, most states will waive the fees if you're within a certain income guideline, go speak with your local court clerk. There are some lawyers who will represent you for free or at least offer legal advice. http://www.lawhelp.org/

Good luck.

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionmedical exam requirements

I respect your religion but honestly I never seen in any religion where its forbidden to take vaccines. I suggest you call USCIS and explain your philosophy to them and see how it goes.

I had vaccines all my life and when last checked Im not mentally retarded lol. Im sure all the friends in visa-journey are not  mentally retarded too (because they all did their vaccines).

This is really weird because you already sent good primary evidence. The joint bank account would be a very good additional evidence

did you send copies of your passport? because that should be a primary identity evidence for a foreigner.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionFood&Drinks (for infant) allowed at field office in Milwaukee?

Food and drinks are not allowed as far as I know. Best thing to do is you leave your mother in law and daughter in a restaurant or coffee shop near by, go do your biometrics and meet them again after that. You will spend no more than 30 minutes in USCIS office so if you feed your baby just before going in, the baby will be just fine.

it is very complicated to understand the process how uscis works.

maybe you can find a reason for this at your i-129f and i-130 sent to uscis.

because if your i-129f was approved, then sent to NVC and then what happened to your i-130??? did it get approved???

congratulationsgood.gif

how do you know they are processing March now?

I think they are processing everyone according to their PD, everyone is in different stages. But many cases of March filers are in the last stages than others and chances are them getting approved soon. As well as April filers too may get approved before some March or February filers too... and the rest maybe a bit later.

There is a lot of February filers too, the easy ones have been approved, but some cases are taking longer because their PD is later or their situations are bit difficult to process, I believe. Everyone starts from the first stage (PD), and then continues, but how long you stay in a stage of the process it depends on many things.yes.gif
