Or am I just not observant enough??? I only know what I've seen. You are correct... VSC seems to be moving a lot faster. Or maybe it's just coincidence...maybe there are more people within the VSC group that happen to be members here. Statistics are a strange animal. Tomorrow is 150 days since NOA1...ugh. I don't know how mine was done so quickly, but I'm certainly not complaining. I hope everyone else is approved soon! that's awesome!!! What Service Center did you apply through? But yes, all you need to do is board the place with the visa in your passport, and sealed envelope in your carry-on. Have a safe flight! Only form you have left to fill out is the customs declaration slip which you will get by the flight attendant in-flight. Nope. It only feels easy because the last year has been excruciating. Trust me, I've been there Soon enough, real life will hit you, and American traffic congestion will be on the top of your worries list.   NOTHING compares to Manila traffic congestion.    Enjoy the rest of your life stateside!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Any recent POE Detroit Experience to share?	my wife arrived in Detroit early July. I went to meet her there just in case she missed the connecting flip to Cleveland. We had a 90 minute window. It was no issue. (Had to resist the urge to stand and do a dance in the aisle when I got the email) And don't forget to update your timeline!! We are the same NOA1 date, the same country, and the same service center. This bodes very well for me!! Maybe I should have gotten on a plane last night too. Our NOA1 came on Sept. 21 for CSC...and NOA2 came last night while I was on a plane! The stragglers are filtering through Meanwhile CSC looks bizarre, the patchy approvals have been aug, sept and july rfe replies, I don't know what's going on there. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	k1 visa interview	The U.S. Embassy Manila will allow to attend your fiancée's interview. You should do so because it can help her chances for a visa approval. In your case, you should attend her interview because your fiancée's English is weak and you don't want it to become a reason for the consular officer to question the bona fides of your relationship. That's great. I'll plan for that then. Are the visas issued at the end of the interview, or will we have to wait for approval? If I can this done in 1 trip, and head back here, all the better!! I imagine that you would have to tell them which dating site you met on eventually....maybe during your interview. I don't think there's any specific questions on the i129f application that speaks to that. I didn't go through a marriage broker, so I can't answer that one. One of the letters about how we met the last sentence Was along the lines of.. please bring my girl back home. The more i think of that does that mean my girlfriend? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Advice! Tax Return/Income requirement	Hi everyone! Now, that I have joined the NOA 1 crowd, I am getting a little worried about the minimum income requirement. I was a Peace Corps Volunteer for the past 2 years and didn't file taxes because I was below the poverty line. While I am still on the job hunt, do you think I should file this year even though I am below the poverty line? Or just write the letter explaining why I didn't file and show my W-2 etc? Also, I am hoping to have full time employment soon with a salary above (although maybe not greatly above) the 125% line. If I only have the job lets say 5-6 mths before the interview (and the filling out of the I-134) will that be a possible denying in the making? because I haven't held the position long enough? Or is the letter from the employer and stubs enough? I am trying to be the sole sponsor for my fiance, I am just concerned as to whether that is possible to do given my situation. Thank you for any help and advice! It is greatly appreciated!! I would seriously consider a co-sponsor. USCIS won't care about a job that you 'hope to have soon'. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Post NOA2	Hello all, I received my NOA2 letter on Feb. 21st. I called NVC to try an obtain an MNL number/Release date from them but wasn't successful in obtaining that information until today. Honestly, I was surprised they had it. They had told me it could take well over a month for them to have that information for me, so to have it this quickly makes me very happy. They gave me the MNL number and told me that it was sent to the Philippines Embassy on March 8th. Now that I have this info, I was wondering if you vets could provide some clarity on the next steps. Some of the guides I've seen say to basically wait 8 days or so from the date of when it was sent to the Embassy (In this case it'd be March 16th) and try to schedule an interview at UltraVisaDocs (Non Immigrant). If it allows me, my fiancee can pay the BPI fee ($350.00) and get her medical exam taken care of at St. Lukes in Manila. Is this the correct setup? That's great news for you!! I sent out my package in September, mentioned it to the immigration legal aid that was helping me and she said we did not need one, so i didnt send one. However, i had my fiance sign one just in case while i was visiting him. Needless to say, I received an RFE a few weeks ago, and there it was. They needed a letter of intent from us. So, JUST IN CASE u do get the RFE for it, wait for it first, then send it in with that blue sheet they send u. Good job in having ur fiance sign one just in case u need it! Ugh...stinking lawyers. If you mail it now without the slip they send you with the RFE, it might be possible it just gets lost among the sheer masses of documents they receive every day, and that it won't be matched to your file. I joined this great group in February, and have learned so much. I contacted my attorney, and mentioned the letter of intent. He said we didn't need one due to the other evidence we already have. I know now that I will probably get an RFE, so I've had my fiance sign one and send it to me. My question is, should I send hers and mine now? Or, should I wait until I get the RFE?
