US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Weird message	Ok...so I checked my status today. The petition is 'in transit'. Good news to be sure. It also says that 'the interview date has been provided to you by the national visa center' I haven't gotten the hard copy yet. I have read in previous posts that I can schedule the interview myself using my MNL number and the deposit receipt number. Can anyone clarify this for me? Also, my fiance's email address has changed. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	petitioner attend the interview..	There is no issue with the petitioner attending the interview in Manila... I did.  Does it help?  Sure... what better evidence of a genuine relationship!!     As said, denials happen, but if your relationship is genuine and your income is adequate it's pretty smooth sailing.   BTW, I highly recommend the petitioner attend the interview, it's a great experience!   No fees to be paid at the embassy.   I concur!!  I was there and in my opinion, that's what they needed to see...us together!!  Great experience!! I actually had to reschedule my ceremonly to fly out of the country and back when it was originally scheduled. It wasn't that long a wait though...perhaps about a month? What does she need to bring? So far I've found she needs: 1. NSO birth certificates for her and her daughter 2. NSO Cenomar 3. I've seen some that have been to the interview with the petioner present and some without, (I am the petitioner.) If I have a chance to go, I will. I think the interview will go smoother if I'm present. My question: Is there a written rule anywhere that states if the petitioner can or cannot attend the interview? I hired an attorney to file this for me...I know, I know..that was before I found VJ. He mentioned to me that there have been changes to the procedure in Manila. Can anyone verify or discount this? Here's my dilimna: My girl is flying up to Manila tomorrow to get to St. Luke's on Friday for the medical. She informed me yesterday that her monthly visitor has arrived. Philippines	More medical woes	hi im done with my medical exam few days ago  and its true she cant   do her  physical exam if she having her menstruation   the doctor will ask her to come back again...  were having same issues  they ask a letter from me  with the MNL number but i don't have cause my fiance did not get  any  email from NVC he just called them and they give the MNL and the  guy ask me to ask my fiance about  the letter and bring the next day i came back but after my medical i talk to my fiance about the MNL and he say he never get email from NVC  so he say if ever they ask again just tell them i got the MNL by phone when i call them.so when i came back next day the girl ask the MNL and i say my fiance he did not receive email from NVC he just talk to them by phone...and the girl say ah ok but if ur fiance get email from NVC ask him to send to u and bring to ur interview... ..   then Thursday  morning my fiance email me and he said i got the MNL letter and he send to me but its too late my medical its already done.. ....btw my interview  this coming june 11 same  as urs   Well, I guess we'll see you in line Tuesday morning.  I arrive in Manila on Saturday night.  My girl is VERY nervous about the interview.  I hope by being there, she will remain calm and not implode in front of the consulate!! Philippines	More medical woes	The MNL / NVC case number should be in your NOA2 hardcopy. Actually, there is no mention on my NOA2 about the MNL number. Philippines	More medical woes	Well, my betrothed went ahead to St. Luke's for the medical.  I told her what everyone said on here; to wait until her monthly 'visitor' had left the building, but she went ahead anyway.  It wasn't so bad though.  She was able to do everything except the physical exam, which she can go back for next week.  Here's the thing:  they asked her for the National Visa Center confirmation.  I gave her the MNL number, but she said that they are looking for an official document from NVC with the MNL number printed on it.  I've called the NVC and requested something along those lines.  They said that they normally don't send anything....just flip it to the consulate after receiving the info from USCIS.  Anyone have similar issues with St. Luke's?  What can be done? Our interview was at 7:30, and we arrived to the queue around 5:45.  Once the line started moving, it went pretty quick.  Not to get off track but, how long does the interview take?
