K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNOA2 in 15 days????
Awesome, maybe VSC is trying to catch up on it's workload. Congrats! :D Attached File  Lima_Peru_101.jpg   896.86KB   14 downloads

Hello everybody!!!

We've been approved in 15 days! We just feel wonderful but we wonder how could this be possible? Guess what no RFE yet..... Is it normal? Our NOA1 took longer then NOA2. I've learned according to VJ website that people's case approval takes longer then 15 days I've seen that some of them waited more then 60 days. It is really amazing that we've got approved within such a short frame time. I wish everybody would have good luck.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresSeek some ideas on passport matter for K-1 visa...
You will need your passport when you have your visa interview in the Philippies. Each case is processed at different speeds......... so with that said, make sure you have it by the interview date. Hope that helps. :P

Hi guys! this is marie..actually, im a neophyte in this site!!! whew!! this site is amazing!!! i cant help myself but to be amazed on how helpful this site is to people applying for fiancee or spousal visa.

for some info, I am from the Philippines. My fiance (from Texas) and I will meet for the first time this Friday. Anyway, this is our situation... All the supporting documents including the biographic forms, the letter of intent to marry, I-129F, proof of ongoing relationship etc. are complete already. We only lack the proof of meeting but its not a problem because we will be with each other soon... My fiance will submit the I-129F upon his return to the US this October.

My concern is, as of the moment I dont have a passport yet because I dont mind getting one before because I never thought i'll be out of my country. Well, I am pretty aware that my fiance can submit the I-129F even without the passport since it is not a requirement so that I-129F will be complete..

I can probably get my passport in December because of some reasons...Do you think it will not be that late? If things will go smoothly, will I do not need my passport by December????

Thanks for the ideas!!! :D

More Power!!! Godbless!!! :innocent:

For the Biographic form, G-325A, make sure he sends you all four pages, all signed and four for you too, all signed & make a photo copy of everything before you send it.

I am new to this sight. I have filled out the initial forms (I-129F) for the K-1 visa, and am in the process of making the copies of my passport, photos, phone records, and all of that jazz. My fiance Fran has filled out his biographic information form (G-325A) with his signature, and will be mailing that to me shortly. When I receive his part, I will mail everything in exactly as asked for. I am builing a strong case with all of the necessary evidence so that they can't possible ask for more. Can somebody please tell me how long of a wait we are in for? Will they accept us if we give them everything they ask for?! We will mail our papers in to the Texas office. Can somebody please give me a little bit of encouragement and tell me that it will be ok...
Thanks,
Alicia

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNothing New!!

Well I went to my InfoPass appointment in Baltimore at 11:00am. I brought my NOA1 and a Cinnabunn for the immigration officer. She was very polite in telling me that they don't process these petitions so the information would be limited. She told me that they received my reply to there request for more information on July 28th. Great!!

I then proceeded to the lobby where I placed a phone call to VSC. I must have the best luck in the world when calling VSC, I always get the nicest people. She said that they received my reply for more information and request 60 days to give an answer or request further information. She said that would be on September 28th. After I explained that I'm counting July 28th as 1 day and there are 31 days in July & August, that it has been 60 days. She put me on hold and returned with a fax number to request expedited service. She said that I should state in my request that it has been 60 days since the receipt of my RFE and that I am outside normal processing times.

So, I will do as she suggested and see what happeneds. I'm not holding my breath as I know probably nothing will come from my efforts, we will see.

Should I send it today and explain how I came to 60 days? or should I send it on the 28th of September to limit the confusion?

It just sucks that they have no real reason for the delay. IMBRA is over, I'm not in name checks (yet), so whats the hold up??

Maybe you could share the fax #. They recieved my RFE on July 31st and would like to request expedited service when our 60 days are up too. Waiting sucks. :help:

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresQuick Question on G-325A form

Hi All,

I have a quick question about the Bio forms (G-325A). For starters, I know that both Petitioner and Beneficiary need to fill out their own forms in quadruplicate, so that you have a total of 8 pages.

My question is actually about the big, bold box at the bottom of each of the pages of the form that says "APPLICANT" right above. Now, on the Petitioner's version (mine), do I put my name in that bold box, or do I put Alina's name in there even though it's my form?

Thanks for bearing with me

(also kind of odd it was mailed at 8:30pm)
Like I said in one of my previous posts I don't care if I get my NOA1 as long as I get NOA2. Hope everyone else gets theirs just as fast. On to the next phase.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedurespassport photo
Same happened to me. I sent them anyway and everything was fine. I did include a statement explaining that I was assured at the photo shop that took the photos in Lima, Peru that these were "passport photos" and I hoped everthing was ok with them.

My fiance sent me passport photos, and they do not meet the 2x2 inch criteria, I resized the photos and they seem fine and meet the criteria now, except for the fact that the shoulders are now a little cut off .... Does that matter or does the photo need to show the upper chest and shoulders completely. Like everyone else, i dont want to have to wait for her to get another photo and send it, since it takes several weeks ... Any advice would be great.,, Thanks

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI am starting a prayer brigade for non-stop approval of NOA2s especially for those who have long been waiting and for all other approvals you
I second that. :) I pray for the approval of our petition each morning and every night and am thankful for the many blessings bestowed upon us thus far. Good luck to all, may God be with you.

Hello everyone...i am starting this prayer brigade thread...please post your prayers for all of us waiting for our NOA2 approvals...whatever religion you have and whatever language you prefer...let us ask blessings and speedy processing of our papers...

Dear Lord Heavenly Father...we ask you to open the hearts and minds of USCIS people processing our documents....enlighten them...and give them the strength and passion to expedite the approvals...we ask you this in Jesus name.

Hello fellow V|Jers

PhilippinesK-1 VISA APPROVED (medical + interview PASSED)

From what I can figure, you need to attend a CFO seminar, pay your travel tax, (either at the airport, or through your airline ticket purchase,) get on a plane in Manila, and get off a plane somewhere in the US!!  Congrats!!!

Ronn63MalePhilippines2013-09-19 14:55:00
PhilippinesTime from Interview to Visa Issued

For us, it was 9 days between interview and visa in hand.  She then had to attend the CFO seminar in Cebu.  It was just shy of a month between interview and POE in Detroit.  I agree with Hank.  2 weeks is pretty quick between everything that still has to be done, including the embassy moving on what they had to do.  I've read some people have waited 3 weeks or more for visa issue from the USEM.  But, saying that, it is possible...

Good luck and congrats!!

Ronn63MalePhilippines2013-09-29 10:47:00

PhilippinesFlying to Manila for the Big Day

Thanks everyone.  I made it to Manila just fine, despite the pair of typhoons.  It sure is leaving a lot of rain though, something I'm highly unaccustomed to at this time of year lol.  We'e finalizing interview prep for the big day Wednesday.  Excited, nervous, you name it. smile.png

You'll do great!!  I was there for my fiance's interview last June.  I highly recommend it.  Although many say it doesn't matter if the petitioner is there or not, I humbly disagree.  Our interview(s) went smooth as silk, and took very little time.  The group of people I was sitting with seemed to have a harder time.  They were approved I think, but it took longer at each window it seemed.  Maybe when the CO's saw me, they thought, "Hey...he came all this way.  Let's approve them and move on to the real cases".  LOL

Good luck!!

Ronn63MalePhilippines2013-09-23 08:58:00
PhilippinesAfter k1 interview

Usually 7 - 10 business days.  Ours took 9 days total.  It depends on administrative processing though.  Everyone's different it seems.

Ronn63MalePhilippines2013-10-26 09:54:00
PhilippinesNeed suggestions - Case assigned to MNL number
there's a lot you can do once NVC gives you the MNL number. If you have an email from NVC with the number, I think you can go ahead with the medical. You can get CFO out of the way, (you just have to go back with visa to get the sticker.) You can make your appointment onine for the interview, (just give it some time for the packet to arrive at the embassy.) Things move quickly now!! Get all of your paperwork in order!! You'll be here soon!!!

PhilippinesFlying thru Delta Airlines

I flew my wife here via Delta last summer.  What I did was show up at my local airport, went to the Delta ticket agent, showed them her itinerary and credit card.  They ran it through, and she was good to go!  Hope that helps.  Oh!!  2 bags 50lb each for international flights on Delta.

Ronn63MalePhilippines2013-11-02 18:29:00
PhilippinesPort of entry

My wife, (I'm still getting used to saying that,) came in through Detroit on K1 last July.  She had only 90 minutes to clear and catch her connecting flight to Cleveland, so I drove up and met her there.  Here's what happens:  She'll get off the plane and get in line with all the other passengers.  Have her hold all of her documentation in her hand so anyone directing the line will see them.  She will probably be directed to another line and the CBP will take all of her paperwork and ask a few questions, (who is the petitioner?  where will you live? etc.)  He/she will then remind you that you have 90 days to get married.  Stamp and gone.  Pick up her luggage and go to customs.  It goes pretty quick.  My wife was out in plenty of time to catch her connecting flight.  I made her ride in the car anyway.  2 hours will be plenty of time in my opinion.

Congrats!!!
