A question to all you swedes out there, i want to know if my "personbevis" is enough for my birthcertificate, it contains everything, or do i need the real deal ?

Just get the "personbevis" in english, with the stamps and signatures on it and that would be sufficient.
You can get it from either just walking in to "Skatteverket" or calling their number and requesting it sent to you.

Hey guys!

Does anyone know where the civil surgeons for the medical examination are located in Sweden?
Just the Stockholm area?

Thanks in advance!

I was living in Stockholm so I saw the Stockholm doctor but I think there is someone in Malmo as well. If you are not from Stockholm, the Embassy can probably schedule your DR appointment on the same day as your interview (which always is in Stockholm) so that you don't have to travel twice - just send them an email or call them and ask! The staff there is really friendly.

OK,Thank you for your quick reply!
Malmö would be even further away,I'm up north..
I'm still a long way from my interview but I just wanted to check my options. When the time comes I'll follow your advise and see if the embassy can set up an appointment the same day!
Thanks again!

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresTourist Visa and filing of form I-130 for K3 Visa

So I did my research.. I can't get the IR1 visa since that's only valid for a marriage of 2 or more years. CR1 appears to take a bit longer than a K-3.

The K3 visa is considered obsolete since if both your I130 and I129F are approved at the same time, which they often are, the K3 will be closed when it reaches NVC.
Earlier the K3 was faster, now a days, not so much. And with the CR1 you don't have to worry about AOS after she gets to the US.
In my opinion you should go with the CR1, and yes, you can send the papers in while she still is visiting you,we did that and had no problems at all.

Good Luck!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionHPV vaccine required?
Not required anymore.

http://www.visajourn...on-requirements

"Q. I heard that the vaccine against herpes zoster (zoster) and the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) are required vaccines. Is this true?
A. From Aug. 1, 2008, until Dec. 13, 2009, the zoster and the HPV were required vaccines for immigration purposes. However, the zoster vaccine was not available from Aug. 1, 2008, through Dec. 13, 2009, and USCIS posted a message on the Web to inform civil surgeons they could annotate the vaccination record with "not available" if they were not able to obtain the vaccine. In 2009, CDC changed the vaccination requirements based on ACIP's recommendations. As of Dec. 14, 2009, the zoster and the HPV vaccine were no longer required."

US Citizenship General DiscussionWhen to file for citizenship

I've been a permanent resident since 26 february 2007 and i have a permanent greencard that will expire in 2019.
Do I have to send the papers tomorrow on the 26th?? Or can i wait a couple more weeks to file for citizenship??
Thanks!
Gabby

When you are eligible to file, you can do it anytime after that date.
Wait a couple of days/weeks/years, doesn't matter.
Your chance to file won't "expire".

US Citizenship General DiscussionDual citizenship

I am a Canadian. My wife has dual citizenship.

Well, then you are a long way from getting dual citizenship.
You and your wife would file to get you a spousal visa, and when you enter the US on that, it would grant you permanent resident status (conditional if married for less then 2 years) in the US, then 3 years after that (if you are still married) you can apply for citizenship.

I though you had to submit the last 3 years taxreturns/transcripts with your application if you are applying based on marriage to USC?

"If you are applying for naturalization on the basis of marriage to a U.S. citizen, send the following 4 items:

1. Evidence that your spouse has been a U.S. citizen for the last 3 years:
a. Birth certificate (if your spouse never lost citizenship since birth); or
b. Certificate of Naturalization; or
c. Certificate of Citizenship; or
d. The inside of the front cover and signature page of your spouse’s current U.S. passport; or
e. Form FS-240, Report of Birth Abroad of a Citizen of the United States of America; and

2. Your current marriage certificate; and

3. Proof of termination of all prior marriages of your spouse (divorce decree(s), annulment(s), or death certificate(s)); and

4. Documents referring to you and your spouse:
a. Tax returns, bank accounts, leases, mortgages, or birth certificates of children; or
b. Internal Revenue Service (IRS)-certified copies of the income tax forms that you both filed for the past 3 years; or
c. An IRS tax return transcript for the last 3 years.

US Citizenship General DiscussionVAWA - citizenship after 3 years but remarried - HELP

Common sense people. This "friend" he/she is referring to is her/himself. Secondly the question is quite simple and nobody answered it. Here it is... Can she marry her boyfriend who is in the USA for 90 days on a F1 Visa? Considering that she had not received her citizenship. I don't know the answer, but nobody is answering what she really wants.

An F1-visa is a student visa, not the VWP as I think you are referring too - considering the 90 day comment.

US Citizenship General DiscussionVAWA - citizenship after 3 years but remarried - HELP
Actually, if the person recieved their residency via a VAWA-claim, they are allowed to apply for citizenship under the 3 year rule.

http://www.uscis.gov...c319a012705.pdf

I also think, don't know for sure, that this becomes null if she/he re-marries during this time, then she/he has to wait the 5 years.

If possible, just have the person in question wait until she is a citizen to get married to avoid all confusion.

Edited to add, I'm not sure if this pertains to people that ROC'ed with a VAWA-app.

CanadaCanadian Marrying US Citizen in US
If you use a non-immigrant visa (or VWP) for immigration purposes then it's fraud. Which could land you a lifetime ban from the US.
So if I were you I would re-think the plan.
Either file a K1 right now (fiance-visa) or get married and file for a CR-1 (spousal-visa).

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionStep by Step guides/ or Flow Charts

Hey!

I was trying to find a Step by Step guide or a Flow Chart for the process after your NOA2, I know that I saw one on here some months back but I cant seem to find it now. If anyone could include a link for me, or tell me how to look it up... I tried searching it already. I think it was a process that claimed if you followed it you could get through the process in 1 month... or something like that..

thanks in advance
Melody

If it's a guide on how to "fly through" NVC this might be the one you are thinking of. I'm not sure if it only applies for IR-1/CR-1 visas though,I'm not familiar with the K-3 processing.

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionseparated but not divorced yet

You may want to check on this a little more...I just read this in the FAQ section.

If the marriage is terminated by divorce before the couple apply to adjust to permanent resident status, the beneficiary and any derivative beneficiary (K-2) will not be eligible for permanent resident status through the former marital relationship. The USCIS requirement for an alien that entered on a K-1 visa is that marriage be concluded to the original petitioner within 90 days and that adjustment of status is possible only through the initial petitioner.

The way I read it is that if the marriage ends within the conditional status period, on a K-visa, that the alien is ineleigible to adjust status......or remove the conditions of the visa.....

What this statement means is that if you come on a K-1, get married and then a divorce before AOS (before getting your GC) you can not apply for AOS any other way. The OP already has a GC, so this doesn't apply.

Your sponsor needs to file an adress change aswell if the I-864 is still in play (which it should be).

As a permanent resident she has to let them know every time her adress changes, and as long as the I-864 (Affidavit of support) the sponsor also is required to notify them if their adress changes.

Sponsor files an I-865, has to be snailmailed.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionWhoops... Totally forgot about the 90 days thing

Ok, maybe a bit of a snag.
I received a packet today in the mail stating
"This Service Center cannot accept your I-751 petition without the proper fee. The base fee for an I-751 is $465 plus a $80 biometric fee for each person included in the petition. If you have children listed in Part 5 of your I-751 who became conditional residents (CPR) either on the same day as or within 90 days after the CPR listed in Part 1 of the I-751, the child(ren) are eligible to be included in your petition. Failure to submit the biometric fee for any eligible chile listed in Part 5 of your petition will result in removal of that child from your petition. Removal of an eligible child from your petition will result in the termination of status for that child unless a seperate Form I751 is filed for the child with a $545 fee."

So if Im reading this right, it means I just need to mail all this back with the $80 I left out for my child? I didn't think my daughter needed any of this because she already is a dual citizen. Is it just because I listed her on part 5? If so Ill gladly overnight this back to them with an extra 80 bucks. I just want to make sure Im missing something else.
I sent $550.0 money order originally.
I just want to be sure I send the right thing this time. I can't waste anymore time. We are down to 4 1/2 weeks now.
Any help would be great.
Thanks.

$465 + $80 = $545.

Maybe it's just as simple that you didn't send them the right amount?

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionremoving condition RC
1: 90 days before the expiration of your GC

2: Does not need to be notarized

3: Since you have a very unusual situation it is important that you attach a letter explaining why you don't have the "normal" evidence of co-mingling.
I have to say though that your evidence are a bit weak.

Why didn't you file your tax-returns jointly?
Why aren't you able to live with your husband?
Did you live together at any point after you came here? (If so, do you have proof of that?)

These are questions that will be posed by the Officer reviewing your paperwork.
