Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 July 2013 Filers	This is what they sent me the following:   "This letter is in reference to your Form I - 751. Petition to Remove the Conditions on Residence. This is to notify you that your petition has been relocated to the USCIS Field Office listed below for adjunction. That office will schedule an interview for you. When an interview date becomes available, that office will notify you in a separate notice of the date and time you will need to appear for the interview.   When you appear for the interview, you must bring this notice and your appointment notice, along with evidence to establish that the marriage through which you gain your conditional residence status was entered into good faith"   I never received a ROE or something. Like many people who Filed in July, my case sent from Vermont to California and from California they replied that.   Thanks! That's the RFE on steroids. Not only are they demanding additional evidence, they want to quiz both of you separately to see if they can find any inconsistencies. Assemble every possible bit of evidence between now and whatever your interview date turns out to be. They will ask lots of questions to see if you two really live together ("What kind of toothpaste does your spouse use?", etc.). Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 July 2013 Filers	Thanks Navyk and Ivriesling for updating my information.   Today my husband got an email that the new card has been mailed to our address. Hopefully will get it tomorrow or Monday. I wish everyone good luck on their ROC process. They are sending green cards by domestic Priority Mail in a Flat Rate Mailing Envelope. Also sent is a 10-year green card approval letter via regular First Class mail. I also got an email saying that the green card had been mailed on November 19th (the email specified the Postal Service tracking number so I could track its progress online at usps.com) and another email saying that the Postal Service tracking system reported delivery of the green card on November 21. I received an email before that saying that production of my green card had been ordered on November 15. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 July 2013 Filers	Gudu, you should go to uscis.gov with the case number from your biometrics appointment letter and sign up there for email notifications on your case. You will then immediately receive an email alert every time something happens with your case! Also, if you would like to be added to the July Filers tracking list, please list all the relevant dates for your case (NOA1 date & biometric appointment date). For your Removal of Conditions (I-751) you are approved and you will soon receive your 10-year green card. It looks like you filed another I-130 after becoming a permanent resident in order to bring other family members (non-citizens related to you, for example your children who are not yet US citizens or residents) to the US. Obviously the I-130 is going to have a different receipt number than the I-751. If that's the case then it's probably no big deal. Check your 10-year green card when it arrives to see if your A-number has changed and verify that all the other information on the card is correct. If you didn't file another I-130, then for some reason they have reopened your old I-130 from 2011 and put it back into "Initial Review" status, which is very strange & could be an error in their system. I'd suggest waiting a few days to let your 10-year green card arrive, then checking the details on the card carefully, then calling them to request an explanation. Didn't say you were either, just noting that an RFE is at least resolvable, whereas other families have it much worse. You complained about lifestyle discrimination ("Not every couple has joint bank accounts, owns a home, has a car and has kids. My husband doesn't even have a driver's license!") by USCIS, which is a longstanding problem. Incidentally, being a sex worker is legal in Nevada (one such business has been legally operating there since 1902), and a federal court just struck down a Utah law against "Sister Wives" families. Same-sex couples were automatically denied immigration by USCIS until July 2013, even though same-sex marriage has been legal in Massachusetts since 2003. Not sure why it took them almost 6 months to even look at our application. I will send them some more documents. Honestly I think they are ridiculous. Not every couple has joint bank accounts, owns a home, has a car and has kids. My husband doesn't even have a driver's license! They are welcome to come to our home and have tea with us any time though. They want to see joint accounts or other evidence of intermingled finances. Best approach would have been to open up two or three joint accounts upon arrival, set up modest direct deposits to both ($50 to $100 per account would do), use debit cards on both to cover minor expenses (restaurant, drugstore, grocery, etc). and save each and every monthly statement in a file labeled "Immigration Paperwork". It's a hassle, but at least you're only being hassled. People whose families resemble the TV show "Sister Wives" (polyamorous families) and people who have been sex workers within the past five years or so will be categorically denied permission to immigrate. Just in the past year or two it became possible for same-sex couples to get spouse visas - before then, they were also categorically denied. We all know that there are very serious lifestyle discrimination problems at USCIS, and that it will take at least several decades worth of federal lawsuits to get it corrected.	lvriesling	Male	Thailand	2014-01-03 11:50:00

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 July 2013 Filers	Hi everybody,   Got a RFE today, they want additional evidence, including my daughter's birth certificate which is going to generate another RFE as it is a multilingual one (English is on the 2nd line on the header of it, but they only read the 1st line in French, I'll then call them to invite them to look at the 2nd line I did that like 4 times when you were going through the immigration process in France) Here's the list of docs: Joint bank account (got it) Insurance policies (got it) Utilities bill on both names (red flag, they're under hubbie's name like they've always been) 2011 and 2012 state and federal tax returns (we finally have them)   BTW we had included our new built home docs in both names in the package, we thought it would be more than enough to prove our bona fide, looks like it's not   Any advices/suggestions are more than welcome!!! The main thing is the tax returns (which I hope you filed jointly). Don't sweat over the utility bills. Use a highlighter to highlight the English part of the daughter's birth certificate. I will pay the extra $100 or $200 for in flight entertainment on long flights. Wish some of the US carries would get a clue on this. Delta does have in-flight entertainment - they showed me 3 Hollywood movies on the long hop from Detroit to Tokyo (and back) this past November. Some of the Delta planes also had the in-seat screens, even in economy class, and other Delta planes did not. Thailand	Thailand Thread	Regarding Narita - to explain it for those who have never been, international travelers who change planes in Narita (Tokyo) get treated as if they were never screened in the first place, thus you have to stand in one of three incredibly long queues for passenger screening. On top of that, if you survive the wait and eventually make it to the screening area, you are then greeted by an official sign explaining that Narita prohibits ALL LIQUIDS, right above a trash can which is to be used for, among other things, those very expensive bottles of wine that you thought you could safely keep in your carry-on. Thailand	Thailand Thread	I recently returned from a visit to the Siam Square area of Bangkok, and I can happily report that Central World is more or less fully operational. It looks like there is still some construction going on along the exterior walls facing Rajdamri Road and Thanon Rama 1, but the interior is gorgeous and 100% open for business. Between Isetan Department Store and Rajdamri Road there are some lovely and well-attended religious shrines , and just south of the religious shrines there are two 150-200 person beer cafes from two competing beer producers which are very actively operating very late into the night, often with bands on stage. Across the street there is a large Big C which is still closed and under repair - workers are actively repairing the exterior every morning. There is a much smaller Big C nearby (close to the Super Rich money exchanges) which is open, but only with a tiny product selection. But Rajdamri Road is very active and full of life, and Siam Square in general is very happy and lively. Crime rate in the Siam Square area was nonexistent, 24/7 - no American city that I'm aware of is anywhere near this peaceful! Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 August 2013 Filers	Hello, I'm a July filer with some information to pass along to the August folks...   Looking at the pattern of approvals, there obviously is no computer-controlled scheduling or any other form of strict queue or regulatory process controlling the flow of cases within a given month.  USCIS is stuck in the bad old days of manually processing paper files, and approval time is a crapshoot.  This is true not only of the July 2013 approvals, but also the prior month's.  There are original CSC people from June 3rd, June 13th (with EARLY BIO) and June 17th who are STILL waiting!!!   Looking at the June group's messages, the approval letters (and presumably the approval decisions as well) are coming from regional offices (the VA office for a WV applicant, the Atlanta office, etc.) rather from CSC.  Unfortunately, the online system doesn't tell you whether your case has been sent to a regional office or not, so it's hard to track regional offices and their speed or lack thereof.  In theory, it should be possible to assemble the territories of each regional office and infer their processing speed - if VJers start reporting the identity of their regional office along with their approval dates.   The June approvals are at 70% for CSC (including VSC transfers) and 50% for VSC.  http://www.visajourn...-filers/page-37   Looking at the following month (July), they are at 25% approvals for CSC (11% approval rate for the VSC transfers) and 0% approvals for VSC.  http://www.visajourn...-filers/page-29   Going back to the May filers, they are at 95% for CSC  and 61% for VSC (multiple applicants from 4/30 and 5/1 are STILL waiting!).  A non-RFE VSC case from 5/3 got approved on 10/1, and a non-RFE CSC case from 5/24 got approved on 10/10!   http://www.visajourn...-filers/page-54   Going back to the April filers, they are at 73% for CSC and 69% for VSC (people from 3/29 and 4/1 are STILL waiting!)  All the recently reported (October) approvals have been RFEs though, so maybe it's just a case of people not reporting their approvals to VJ.  http://www.visajourn...-filers/page-63   August filers - when you are approved, please state your location and the location of the regional office that sends you your approval letter along with your approval date! How do you tell if VSC or CSC is handling your case ?   Thanks   The location you sent your I-751 form to will normally handle your case.  If they are overloaded and need to transfer your case, they will mail you a letter saying so.  If you received a letter then you know from the letter which location is handling your case.  Otherwise, you know where you originally sent your form, and that location is handling your case.   Please complete your VisaJourney Timeline - so that we will all know about your case and be better able to assist!	lvriesling	Male	Thailand	2014-03-09 16:53:00
