K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July/August filers with the VSC	I called USCIS today just out of curiousity to see what I could get from them. Of course nothing more than someone reciting the script all of the customer service operators are required to recite. But he did say that at VSC they are now processing petitions received on July 11, and that your case could be approved if received on or before this date, or if it was received after this date. I guess this is true because some July filers have not been approved, some have. As well as some August filers. So..............let's hope for the best. It seems to get harder waiting the sooner you get to an approval. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHRRRRRGGH! Good luck to those still waiting. I talked to a 2nd tier representative at USCIS and she told me the same as someone had mentioned earlier-- that VSC is still processing applications from July 10th and that I should wait another 30-40 days to hear from them. Mine took a bit longer than five months to get my NOA2, but I could check the status on their website. Good luck, Ann No. Nothing comes up. Thanks for all the responses. I see that someone else on the forum is also in a similar predicament. I guess the key is to keep being patient. But yes, I am a little concerned that the case number is not in the system. A couple months back I had checked online and had the same response-- case number not found. But I read on this forum, that that is normal and so I wasn't that worried. Now, I am starting to get a little nervous. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Five months and waiting I-129F	Hi, I received my NOA for on August 1, 2011 and have not heard any news since. I just called the customer service number and when I entered my case number, I was told that that case number could not be found. It doesn't seem that I can get through to an actual USCIS representative via the customer service number. Has anyone had a similar experience? I called last week and was told that I should receive a status update in the mail by February 24. Hopefully, it will be good news. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Almost 7 months and still no NOA2	I filed for Cuba on VSC not so long ago. Got NOA1 02/02/2012, then got NOA2 02/23/2012 (21 days), so as you can see, I am very surprised you've had to wait 7 months. Cuba has somewhat of a reputation around here for being very quick, except the interview part. That must seriously be upsetting - having to wait 7 months. Wouldn't be that bad, but no one understands that we Cubans have to wait another 5-6 months at the USINT (our "embassy") for the interview, I don't know what USCIS is doing with you guys. I just want to wish you good luck and hope you get your NOA2 very soon. Like mentioned above, hang it there. :I Wow! You are very lucky. But yes, the wait time to get an interview date is what worries me too. I can't believe how long everything is taking. On Monday I talked with someone from USCIS. I was told that a letter with a status update was mailed on February 23 (which is ridiculous because on Feb. 9, I would receive something in the mail by Feb. 24) but I have not yet received anything. No- I haven't gotten a RFE. It's being processed by VSC. I know there are a couple of others in the same boat. You more than deserve it since I see you sent your I-129f long time ago.Hope everything goes well and you two can be together soon. June is really early just a couple of months to go. my case left NVC 5 days after yours did. Hope my interview is scheduled for an early date as well. I wonder if your fiance got the package already. Are you filling out all those forms for him or does he have do it all in Cuba? Yes- it's been a long time! I hope you get your date soon. Probably by the end of the week, you should be able to schedule it. Since we were worried about whether or not he would get the telegram notifying him to pick up the packet, he called the Interests Section directly and scheduled an appointment to go get it. If your fiancee lives in Havana, I would suggest that she do the same. You can also print out everything from the website. It doesn't seem like it's absolutely necessary to get the Packet 3. It was strange, because the guy started taking all the information (name, address, DOB) without asking for the case number. In fact, the case number was the last thing he asked for. The date of the interview is for June 21, 2012!!! So much earlier than I expected. I am so excited and overwhelmed with all that I have to do before then! Try calling early, lately its been a hassle to speak with a representative. Good luck!!!! Im waiting to schedule my interview too Thanks! I called yesterday and got my HAV#. Now, I am trying to call the 1-866 phone number to get the PIN to schedule the interview but the line is constantly busy. Have you experienced the same? But today, I received an email from NVC saying that the case has been forwarded to the US Interests Section in Havana (equivalent of the US embassy there) and that all further communication should be done with them directly. My fiance went to pick up his visa today after our case spent 48 days in administrative processing. We had our interview on June 21, was told that our case had been approved, but when he went to check the status of the visa, he was told that further clearances were needed. I am just grateful that the whole process was relatively quick (although the waiting was awful!) He now has to request his "liberacion" from work and request the "permiso de salida' (Cuba-specific procedures) before he can come. But hopefully, there will be no further delays. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I129F APPROVED !!!! :-)	To get the case number from NVC all you need is the receipt number on your NOA2. You don't have to pay anything. To schedule the interview, you will need to buy a PIN number (as described on the website of the US Ints. Sect.) for $11. Philippines	Percent of being denied at the interview	@ the interview they asked my wife,   Where do I work? What do I do at work? Do I have any kids? How many times I visit her after the wedding? Do we talk everyday? When did we meet? How many guests at the wedding? & she asked to see some photo's of the wedding, we gave her two albums, she looked at the first two pages and that was it. March NOA1 VSC	If they really do proccess the k1s in batch of 10s , then one of them that are close to me in case number just got an RFE so *hoooope* But then again, I don't want to get too hopeful because I'm more than likely just get disapointed   And congrats!!   I don't know if they actually do it in 10s but thats how I noticed it around my case number.  Someone else here mentioned that its usually a good sign when there is activity on a case number close to yours.  That was the case for me.  Hopefully for you too!!   Good luck! NOA 1 March 8 at VSC...   Few things I noticed... there is a sequence of 10 applications for K-1s together.  My last 5 digits 16589. Late last week 3 got RFE's and when I checked today and 2 were approved (including mine).  I am guessing the other 5 will be approved soon as well.   Good luck to everyone! GOD is awesome!
