K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July 2013 K-1 Visa Filers	Hello everyone! I sent my fiancee petition in the end of june and on July 1st the USCIS office recieved it. I sent it through the Texas Lockbox and I they routed it over the Vermont Service center. On july 5th I recieved an email saying that they recieved my application gave the number i can check the status with.Also it is saying that in next 7-10 days I suppose to recieve an official reciept(I-797 form). Today is already 24th and I still didn't get any notice through mail but when I go online to check for status it says "On July 10, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E". After receiving my NOA2, I waited 2-3 weeks before calling NVC to get the case number and then check the status with CEAC . I learned that after getting married, file the AOS (I-485 Adjustment of Status, I-765 (employment authorization), I-131 Advance Parole (if you need to travel)  Check the AOS filing guide.  You should be able to travel however you need to file that I-131 with those other forms.  Hope this helps	lolo83421	Female	Nigeria	2014-04-09 08:44:00

No 221g wasnt given, no missing documents. My interview was good, I paid the delivery service I thought be with my fiance on april, but this ap is killing us, my fiance is very depressed and stressfull. I feel terrible for that.   My fiancé had his interview on April 1st.  The CO took out a white sheet of paper and circled the location where he should pick up his visa in 7 days.  Well, April 8 rolled around and he went to pick up his visa only to be told that there is nothing there for him.  They had him going back and forth for 2 weeks.  I started emailing the embassy to find out what was going on.  They said it is in AP!  WTH!! He was never given a 221g form at all.  Now we are in May and I decided to visit my Congresswoman's office to ask for assistance.  I felt like I was getting the run around with this embassy because I kept getting the same email.  Within a week her representative called me to tell me about their response:   Dear XXXXXXXX,   I would like to thank you for visiting my office and allowing my staff to assist you. We have received a response from the Lagos, Nigeria regarding your pending matter. According to their files and records of your case, they issued the following response:   Thank you for your inquiry regarding the K-1 immigrant visa application of Mr. XXXXXXXXX, as brought to Congressman Clarke?s attention by his constituent, Ms. XXXX XXXXX. Occasionally, additional information comes to light after the initial interview that can lead to administrative processing. In this case, the consular officer determined after additional review that further administrative processing is necessary before adjudication can be completed. This administrative processing is a legal requirement and must be completed before a visa can be issued. Once the unit that currently has custody of the file returns it to the Immigrant Visa Unit, we will contact Mr. XXXXX to schedule a new appointment date. Likewise, if we need further information from the beneficiary or the petitioner, we will contact them at the phone number or email address that was provided at the time of interview. We appreciate your patience in this process. I hope this information is helpful. The State Department's global database for issuing travel documents has crashed, resulting in major delays for potentially millions of people around the world waiting for U.S. passports and visas, officials said Wednesday. Unspecified glitches in the department's Consular Consolidated Database have resulted in "significant performance issues, including outages" in the processing of applications for passports, visas and reports of Americans born abroad since Saturday, spokeswoman Marie Harf said. She said the problem is worldwide and not specific to any particular country, citizenship document, or visa category. "We apologize to applicants and recognize this may cause hardship to applicants waiting on visas and passports. We are working to correct the issue as quickly as possible," she said. Harf said the problems with the database have resulted in an "extensive backlog" of applications, which has, in turn, hampered efforts to get the system fully back on line. It was not immediately clear how many people are affected, but two U.S. officials familiar with the situation said some 50,000 applicants were hit in one country alone. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly or identify the country. The database is the State Department's system of record and is used to approve, record and print visas and other documents to ensure that national security checks are conducted on applicants. My fiance had his interview on April 1, 2014 and was approved.  they took his passport and asked him to return in 7 days for his passport.  When he returned they said it wasn't ready yet.  I checked the site only to find out that we are in AP.  Today April 8th makes it exactly 4 months we are in AP, and this is well before the "glitch".  So I would encourage you to be patient.  US embassies advises that we do not make any flight plans until we receive the passport in hand.  I pray you get through in the name of Jesus.	lolo83421	Female	Nigeria	2014-08-08 10:24:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I 129F Instructions! has anybody else been as stupid?:(	i dont consider myself lucky. i consider myself stupid. i feel like a great puddle of shame.   zooxahoy, if it makes you feel better i did the EXACT same thing and got the EXACT same response and also felt VERY stupid and ashamed of myself.   i also almost crapped my pants when I got the "Intent to Deny" letter and I'm currently scrambling to put together the evidence packet.  I also don't remember exactly what happened that I didn't realize the evidence went with the I-129F, but looking back on the official government instruction sheet now, I can see how it's an easy mistake to make, and I wasn't aware of VJ yet...   how'd it all turn out?  any tips for someone in the same place you were at 2 months ago?   Thanks and good luck! My case was sent to the Embassy just a couple of days ago as well and if I type in my case number it comes up with a result. Try it again!   Thank you for replying. This is my first (and hopefully last time) filling K-1 Visa for my fiance. I live in Brooklyn, NY which is the location from where I sent I-129 form to USCIS office. Filling date is March 7, 2013. Vermont office was the one that recieved and processed the form. It took about 10 month for us to recieve NOA2 online.      And that didn't happen until after  I wrote directly to USCIS about the delay.    On December 27, 2013 NVC recieved package that was sent by USCIS office. On January 4, 2014 NVC sent package to US Embassy in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. Today is January 15 and CEAC status is yet to be updated...     ...meaning that US Embassy in Tbilisi haven't received the package yet. I have the following questions guys: - What will be in the package that my fiance will recieve from the embassy? Will it include the date of interview? Will it have the instructions of when and how to perform medical exam? - Which forms are necessarry to be filled in? - I currently do not work and am planning to live with my parents for the first 5-6 months. What information should I write in the form of affdavit support? I called USCIS today to check the status and spoke with a tier 2 representative who advised me that--although my online case status has not updated she says that I was approved 7-6-2013!!!
