ok, anyone have a fried dumpling receipe??? I used to know how to make them a loooongg time ago, now i'm spoiled my grandmother always brings them and toss a bag in the freezer...but i'm not sure if i have any more??

and fillet but that is just my preference, I like Porgy which is really to small to be fillet but mi can't bodda with di head and it have nuff bones..but it is soooooo swweeet



Ok good.gif I have done fillets before just never the whole fish which is what was stressing me. I will have to look for the porgy thanks jengs smile.gif



It works for whatever fish u like, porgy is a small fish not big like the snapper

Then I rub not sprinkle...I rub it inside the fish and outside and let it sit for a little. Then I make the oil really hot...hot hot hot (but don't BURN it). I love spicy food and I love it when the fish have a little kick to it, so I drop 1/2 of scoth bonnet pepper in the oil (DISCLAIMER) you might want to open your windows or go stand somewhere else until the pepper burn off or your eyes are going to burn like hell. If you don't want it to be too hot (spicy) take out the seeds. That's the hottest part of the pepper. Then u just fry dem one by one. I also make little slits in the sides of the fish. Saw my grandmother do that, she say the seasoning will soak into the fish while it's frying. Then you all done. Enjoy your meal. Oh, one more very important thing...

I mix my seasoning with flour and thanks for the reminder that i need to buy some. good.gif


I use flour with mine as well. And I like to cook it outside - no stink!!


I also try to fry mine outside, but if you have to do it inside I put on a pot of cinnamon and vinegar and sometimes organe peel and it keeps the smell down


orange peel sounds good!!

I have no outside, my grandmother suggested i boil some floral disinfectint on the stove with some water to get rid of the smell, I haven't tried it yet, maybe tonite...we get this stuff from england called zflora comes in different scents like roses and bouquet...maybe English can suggets a subsitute..

I sprinkle i little bit of water in the pan, when the oil starts jumping when u do that, it's hot enough,

OMG! Girl, don't get me started. I've seen it all. It's just so friggin nasty and in the day of AIDS, I just don't understand it. In November last year I was at Pier One in Mobay and if ya'll know where that is..-- it's near the water at a pier surouned by a lot of rocks. Well this guy was running through the club throwing this girl up in the air like he was having sex with her and all her GLORY was out. It was just crazy. Her damn top came off no bra it was not pretty. When he started to run from the pier back inside the club, he triped and she went right into the bar. I never laughed so hard in my life. My fiance and his friends were laughing and me becuase I have an INFECTIOUS laugh. If you hear me laugh you can't help but to laugh.

Like how they use to pay women to hang out in front of the dancehall half DAMN naked in the middle of winter to bring MEN into the dancehall...what a stress.

The dance i went to at Portocio Beach the girls that were on stange had on NOTHING! NADAH! I was so glad I was far from the stage and sitting on top of my friends truck. Mi go store yesterday to pick up BUN, now mi did in deh on Monday the bun was $7.00. Yesterday dem raise the prise to $14.00 fi the same size bun...mi start gwaan BAD and other people start say the same thing. So, the owner give us the bun fi the $7.00. Now, this is the next thing. On Monday they had a whole shelf of the small cheese...yesterday all the small cheese gone and only the big tin left selling for $30...dem musah rass mad...mi just pay fi mi 2 bun an lef.


Now see, my 5 year old, don't know no better, this is where I break out the Kraft cheese!!!

pain in my lower back....the other night i was having muscle spasms in my back and they would come and go it hurt and was intense....i was going to call the dr but then they stopped...and know my back/tailbone hurts so i can't sit for too long i have to lay down....i have a dr appointment today so we shall se what they have to say.....

You do realize those are called Braxton-Hicks contractions, right? It's normal to have those now.

And, it's only going to keep coming till you actually go into labor. If you think it hurts now, just you wait..............

Ok, so I am one my way to drop off the $$ for Ken's room!! I decide to check Craigslist one more time...
Guys, I found an 2 bedroom apartment RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM MY KIDS SCHOOL, right around the corner from my Dad's house for...$1200 (utilities INCLUUDED)!!!

Guys, it is like G-d sent this just for me!! My biggest struggle is finding a place that I can afford and still keep my kids in a good school district! Unfortunately on LI, where your kids go to school depends on where you live!

Guys, I AM BEGGING YOU PRAY FOR US...PLEASE!!! Instead of Ken moving to a room all by himself 10-15 minutes away...WE could move into our OWN place APRIL 1st!!! And start living as a family!

Please pray that G-d touches the landlord's heart and chooses us to be his new tenants!!! My boys would NOT be uprooted from their current school and we would be able to save for a house and I would be around the corner from my Dad (he's getting older...and you never know)!

Just got back from the ER with my girlfriend and her stubborn rahtidclaat husband

My girlfriend's husband has been in states since January 1st of this year and well, he does not read well or NOT AT ALL and he will not admit to it. I've offered to help him and he refuses. I think it's mostely pride and he's been making silly mistakes one of which cost him a well paying job back in January.

Mistake #1
He works for a cleaning company and he mix 2 very strong stippers together and they had to clear the building, call hazmat and send people home for the rest of the day.

Mistake #2
He had an interview in Balitmore got on 95 and kept on driving. Before his dumbA$$ called some one he just kept driving. By the time he called his wife, he was at Exit 13 on the Jersey Turnpike. Almost
into NY.

Mistake # 3
Buying a car when you're new to a country and listening to his dumb a$$ friends. Went to EASTERNS MOTORS with his friends and of course they ripped his a$$ off.

AND;
Mistake #4

Lord, please forgive me for LAUGHING, but this is too funny.

Remember he does not know how to READ and is refusing to learn, but I bet he will now. This morning he went to brush his teeth, called his wife complaining he can't find the tootpaste and where she put it. He gets fustrated and hangs up the phone on her. Goes in the bathroom (Lord please forgive me).....he used her MONISTAT CREAME and brushed his teeth and had a very, very, very bad reaction. The reaction didn't take place until he got to work this morning. He works in the complex he lives in. By the time I got to the hospital and I saw what he looked like and I found out what happened, I could not stop laughing. I mean, I can't even describe what he looks like, but it looked like he was attacked by a 100 bees. Then he gets upset, because his wife and the doctors told him what the creame is used for. So, he's mad at his wife and it's her fault. He's a grown man of 37 years old. He yelling and me and his wife, saying, how you can put something that fi go pon unu P*&$#Y in the bathroom. I asked him where are we suppose to put it. He thought it was travel toothpaste.

I got him into a program to help him with his reading and he went the first 2 nights and refused to go home. My girlfriend don't know what else to do. She had no idea he could not read. He is a functional illiterate. I think that's the correct term. He had his own business in Jamaica, so I don't know how he was able to pull that off. I keep telling him Jamaica and the USA is not the same. He said he managed fine in Jamaica and he will manage fine in the USA. People will rip you off if you don't understand what you're reading or signing.
Okay. I have to go ask for forgiveness now.

If you have problems combing her hair I would suggest you comb her hair while wet with conditioner in it.
As for products, my mother used to use Stay Sof Fro on mine, not sure if it's something they have here in the States.
For a daily moisturizer, I would recommend Sof Sheen Optimum Oil Therapy.


You might also want to use a leave in conditioner.

If you have any stores that sell spanish hair care products around you try those, she'll probably just need a moisturizing shampoo, cond and a leave in conditioner and a hair creme, that will give her hair defination...hair grease might weigh her hair down and they have spanish stuff for curly hair. I'm just making the assumption of what her hair texture is, maybe someone else might have better suggestions for you.
