US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	U.S. Embassy in Jamaica; 4-6 weeks to receive interview date for K1 Visa?	Listen we just got our interview date and it took a little over 2 weeks to get. It can take a long time but I would recommend scanning and emailing the DS320 to them once you get our kng number and follow up at least once a week. When I followed up with them I tried to be as polite as possible and that seemed to work. My fiancé got an interview date for the end of August. I truly believe keeping on top of them is key. Interview Aug 28, went well and was approved.  Since then my status on CEAC has said Non-Immigrant Visa with a creation date and update as of Aug 28.  Called DOS they say they can't tell what the embassy is waiting for.  Emailed the embassy last week and they said the case is going through administrative processing.  What are they processing? US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	7 Weeks in AP - Issued today	Our visa was issued today! Thank God!!!  So I pretty much believe we were in AP for 7 weeks for no reason.  It seemed as if all cases around my case number was not moving at all.  I sent an email yesterday to pretty much every email address I could find in the embassy around the IV units responsiveness to inquiriess.  After that email I received a response that my visa would be issued shortly.  It was issued today.  I have also been keeping a spreadsheet of all cases up to 19 days before my date and up to 24 days after my case date.  What I noticed is that there was movement in the days after my case number but the days before my case had no movement for a while, except for yesterday.  There was significant progress made with case numbers KNG2013650XXX to KNG2013690XXX specifically with the NIV cases.  If your number case number is somewhere within that batch I think they are working through them now.   Clearly, my days have been consumed with trying to figure out what the hell is going on with the KNG embassy but I am glad that this part is finally over!  Baby love will be here as soon as physically possible. There is nothing left to do which is why this is so simple. The U S govt has denied your K 1 visa because they dont believe your story. That isnt going to change unless you change the story. Do that by getting married and filing for a C R 1 visa. It isnt a man that stands in your way its a govt. I have a big issue i just had my k1 visa approved last week my problem is i register for DHL an wen im trying to add my daughter its giving me my surname instead of her i dont know if its because we only have 1 KNG number because she was file on my i129f petition as a k2 im worried because i gave the embassay a copy of the print out but onlý my name was register to it i dont know if theyll still issue her passport with mines does anyone know what im to do.         I stand corrected, but I assume that that is because you both are together on 1 case#, and as such the packet with your and your daughter's passport will arrive as packet to DHL. Did they explain to you how to pay the $165 USCIS immigrant fee.     No they did not.  But what I've heard that, such information will be inserted in the section of the package that will have the passport.  Otherwise, I guess we will just take it to the internet, research, pay it and get it over with. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	No openings for Medical	I know this is a long drive but can you go to Kingston @ St. Andrew Hospital call them to see if they have anything available. Then you can pickup your packet the day before your interview and just stay over somewhere in Kingston the day before. Just a suggestion. You can always go to the interview without the medical but you will get a 221g to bring it back in and then that will put a little delay on your visa issuance. I would suggest he goes to kingston....Medical Associates seem to have a more competitive price.  My mother in-law had no immunization cards and needed to do four shots and the total cost of her medical was less than J$21,000, in June of this year and they schedule medical twice pee week, and you normally pick up the day before interview, so he could always stay in kingston the for the interview the next day.   If you need a stay on the economical side, he could always get a night over at the Mayfair hotel (J$7500 - 8000), on West Kings House Road, which is about 5 minutes from the embassy without traffic.  It convenient for the purpose for which you intended. f he doesnt drive he can always arrange with the hotel to call him a taxi in the morning \. They are very fast at responding one day most and you should get your appt. within 3-5 weeks of sending the forms that you had sent . About 6 weeks from when they get the last piece of info on you (either your returned forms or your medical results, whichever is last). 2. They want to know your vaccination history - so you only need that. If you've got an existing condition, or have ever had a mental illness (depression, self harm, suicide attempts), or have ever had TB etc. then they'd like info on that. Look at the medical questionnaire you complete to get an idea of what they're likely yo be interested in (stuff you respond "yes" to). If you're basically healthy, just the vaccination records are needed.   The info about what they want to know and the questionnaire you need to complete can be found on the embassy website here: http://london.usemba...xamination.html (look to the right for the PDF). Thanks have got everything together now and booked Medical for the 5th, I have completed the questionnaire.   I should hope fully have enough evidence because my consultant has given me the last ten years letters. On the travel.state.gov site it says you need DS-156 (2 copies), DS-156 K, and DS-230. However, there are other forms such as DS 157 and DS 158. Are those also needed or those are for different cirsumstances? We were going to fill out the forms beforehand so we were prepared..... but now it seems like DOS changed the requirements.   Is all that's required now DS-160 & DS-260 and I-134?   Please don't tell me to go to the VJ guides. They aren't updated or answering my Qs.   Hello ... Yes, the forms are different now. It changed on October 7th. All forms are replaced by the online DS-160. If you visit the link below, it tells you what you need. The islamabad embassy website also gives the link to travel.state.gov   http://travel.state....pes_2994.html#5   According to the link, only DS 160 has to be completed and the confirm page has to be bought to the interview. The I-134 is optional for Islamabad but I would take it no matter what. I am currently working on this step as well because we got our approval a few days before the change. Have you received your case number from NVC yet. If so, you should email the embassy to double check if anything else is needed. Thats what I will do. Should i call them and ask for it? And 3 weeks to get there for a package is crazy! Its supposed to be about 5 business days . I will be calling them soon again. You can call nvc to find out on what date they sent your case to tashkent. After finding out go to google and search for dhl tracking by reference number. Then you should type the following if lets say your case was sent out on july 20, 2013.. EXP 20 JUL 2013 A Ship date range from jul 20,2013 until 5-7 days after .. The destination should be uzbekistan obviously... I hope my reply will help you. Its now under administrative processing. We are waiting for irs transcripts to come by mail.
