US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionPaying Visa Fee on new USvisa Info Website

I'm the USC, and I can't do it.  So the system is just bad, that's all. :P  You went through "Immigrant Visa" side, correct?

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionPaying Visa Fee on new USvisa Info Website

Thanks for the input you two!  Yeah I thought about creating a second account to pay the fee but was afraid of screwing something up....but as it seems to have worked out for you, i'll be paying it that way by the end of today! :)

Our post NOA2 process has been pretty fast!  I'm not sure why, as our NOA2 was August 30th.  I know Naples gave us a fast interview date simply because I asked them politely. :)

Congrats to you two on the interviews!  I'm assuming yours was successful today, EJ?

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionPaying Visa Fee on new USvisa Info Website

Hi everyone,

On September 30th we were informed that we have our interview on October 16th and to visit usvisa-info.com to register for the courier service and the pay the $240 visa fee.

So yesterday, October 1st I created an account, registered for courier service and paid the extra $39 for the visa to be delivered directly to my fiance's house.  I also submitted the appointment date and time into the system as directed.  But I am unable to pay the $240 fee on the website as I was told to by the Consulate in Naples.  In fact, I'm not even presented with the option on my account.

I e-mailed the consulate yesterday with the issue, and today was the first time they haven't responded (for whatever reason).

Has anyone else had this issue with the new website system they have?  I'm think that perhaps the system needs to update or have the interview time approved by Naples before I have the option to pay.  Unfortunately the website doesn't provide many instructions or answers to possible questions.

Thanks!

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresSick of waiting... called USCIS
QUOTE (Rachel Marie @ Jun 18 2008, 09:52 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Since they updated their timeframes on the website and I currently fall within those timeframes (if you consider the send-date for the application and not the date of NOA1 as the date referenced) I called USCIS and talked to Brandon (rep ID G648409) and spoke with him briefly on my application.

My stupid effing lawyer messed up the paperwork and sent the I-129F and the I-130 together... for some reason, the I-130 was sent back and was REsent later. Apparently, according to Brandon with the southern accent, this should never have been done. He agrees with the Visa Journey process of sending the I-130 first and then the I-129F. Why it was done together I don't know, I just trusted my lawyer.

That being said, my I-129F was going to be approved within "2-3 months" according to Brandon, and my I-130 within 4-6 months. So, basically, Andrew can be down here on a K3 but can't be declared a resident until the I-130 is approved. Great. Which means he can live off of my measly earnings working in a call center. Wonderful. Splendid.

I don't know what to do. I'm at a loss for words and have been thinking about how this can be rectified. I'm writing letters to my congresswoman and senator, but I don't think that will help much.

What I really want to do (my mom put this idea in my head) is go to the Philly Inquirer and to inform them how re-freaking-diculous this is to get someone in the country legally! Heck, if anything, maybe a little bit of attention on my story will get something done. We've been married for over a year!

Has anyone else gone to the newspaper? Is it even worth a shot?

...I'm sorry this post is dripping with sarcasm, but I think you guys can understand.

We are nearing one year.
I can understand!

according to 2 of their lawyers, it seems ok to do.. I'll email them tomorrow to see how the status of the preparation is coming.. they are preparing the case now and asked me for evidence of "financial, emotional, and other harm"..

"In preparation for the Mandamus, I would like to request details from you as to what your specific emotional, physical, financial harm that you have and continue to suffer due to the indefinite separation from your wife. I will include these details in the complaint. "

I have already sent them a folder with everything (letters to senators and others, the FBI letter with no security checks, and my personal letter to everyone who I faxed - about 3+ pages about what I feel, haha.. ) we will see in a few days.. kicking.gif

Hey gogo. I haven't been by in a while, but I'm still here in limbo as well. We are nearing the one year mark next month.
They just keep telling me that we will receive a decision "in the near future"......"very soon", etc.
#######???
SO when is the "near future" and when is "very soon"?!?!?!?!?

You have it worse than I do it seems, but don't feel alone cuz I'm sure there are others in the same boat.
Not that it helps to hear this I know, but.........

The "shitstem" I like to call it is just screwed and does not work properly.

Hang in there, and I will try the same.
Luckily I'm here in Brasil with my wife for a few weeks.
It helps, but doesn't solve our problems unfortunately.

Stay positive.

OP, daisychain is correct. You will be the main sponsor, so you will need to fill out a I134. Your father will be the co-sponsor, and should do the same.

If you use the latest version of the I134 (02/28/07) it doesn't inclue the "temporary" part. So fill in that question. If your father is not planning to directly give her money, he can check do not intend.

For my wife I put something like "I intend to support my wife with everything I have for the rest of my life."

Even if your wife has as co-sponsor, you still are the main sponsor, so you should also accomplish a notarized I-134. Moreover, as proof of income, it's advisable to send an original paystub and original letter of employment.

(was in the same situation. My husband was in the philippines for a year. he has a certificate of no file for 2007. his mom was our co-sponsor. we submitted an original paystub and notarized letter of employment).

Hmm.. I just went through my duplicate copy of the I-134. I don't see the "complete this block.." part on item 11.I do see the other sentences you mentioned. But from my understanding, the documents are supposed to be uniform and downloadable from the same USCIS site.

Yes, the same form is used for tourist visas. Although checking "no" is appropriate enough for K1 or K3, the partner's reaction would seem to cast a strong vote for the alternative of "yes" and "I will support the beneficiary as my spouse." Now comes a test of your relationship communication skills. Good luck. good.gif

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-134 Affadavit Question
hello all.....

my father will be the sponsor for my wife because while living abroad I can't show with past w2's that I make enough to support her.
anyhow,

Do we need just one I-134 completed by my father with all necessary documents? Or should I send one for myself also?
I have everything from my father ready to send to my wife, but I'm just making sure that's all I need.

Also.......question #11 on the form

11. (Complete this block only if the person named in the item 3 will be in the United States temporarily.)
That I.... intend..... do not intend, to make specific contributions to the support of the person named in item 3.
(If you check "intend," indicate the exact nature and duration of the contributions. For example, if you intend to
furnish room and board, state for how long and, if money, state the amount in United States dollars and state
whether it is to be given in a lump sum, weekly or monthly, or for how long.)

What do I put here?? Its a bit confusing. My wife will not be here temporarily, so I guess I don't need to answer??

Thanks a lot!

She entered on a K-3 visa.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

First, take a breath! laughing.gif

Your fiance will get package 3 in the mail and all they have to do is follow the instructions.
You can see what package 3 and 4 consists of on Pakistan's Embassy page Here.

Usually, the affidavit of support and all the accompanying proof that goes with it is taken to the actual interview but I'm not quite sure what the Pakistan consulate requires.
Perhaps you should post this question in the regional forum. I could move it for you if you'd like.

Just have her follow the instructions in package 3 when she gets it, it's pretty simple.

She should get her vaccinations done before the actual medical, (if her doctor does it for free) because the panel physician will charge to do the vaccines.

Best of luck!!! smile.gif

And Yes please move my forum for me to Regional Forums. Also mention me how yo do it....Thanks again and you rock.

First of all congrats on the approval.
I'm glad to know that I129F's are being approved at Vermont.

Second....it's unbelievable that you received an approval in under 60 days!!

834-4400 (al 05). My fiance says that he had good luck calling 834-4402 around noon- he said he was usually able to get a hold of someone then.

I know what you mean about the wait. I saw people wait all morning (and they had been notified that their visa was ready) only to get turned away because SINA had already reached that day's visa limit. So, make sure that your fiance gets there early on the date that it is ready. My fiance says if he can get there at 5:00 AM, that would be best.

Thanks Shelsgirl smile.png Lol. But yea. Hes suppose to pick up the medical record today. They told him the same thing about $300 he should bring. However, he more than enough to cover all the expenses incurred for medical day. Nothing more. He spent about $250 and had a little something left over.

And i agree with you about them knowing you have $300 so they try to tax you on something. Like for instance , he did the eye exam and i think one of his eye is slightly bad per him. So the lady said don't worry i got you covered so he slipped her like $2000- 3000JMD, if Im not mistaken. So i completely understand what you went thru,

overall he got 3 shots and that's including him bringing the immunization card.

My fiancé experienced the same thing with the lady and his eyes but he didn't tip her lol. He said he trusts no one but he would go back and give her something when he get his visa lol

Yea try get it check out. My fiance got his last shot last week so it was very close to the medical date and it was accepted. Couldn't hurt to try

thank you all for your words of advice.
JSC- if you dont mind can please keep me updated once your done?

Ok update - fiancé went to do his medical today at MoBay Hope. He didn't need any additional shots so all he paid was the $120 for the medical. If your fiancé finds his immunization card it's best he get it checked out at a clinic and get whatever else shots he needs before the actual medical. My fiancé was able to get his shots at a clinic in Hanover for free. Hope this helps!

So JSC you saying i should bring an estimated total of $400 for medical? As of right now he is in search of his immunization record. But I believe its outdated

Yes, around that amount I think should be fine.  He also had is immunization card reviewed and got his necessary shots so we are hoping he will not receive too many on Monday.  He was also told by the nurse at the clinic he goes to that the embassy doc's are more willing to accept the original immunization cards because they are easier to validate authenticity.  I don't know how much truth there is in that but luckly his mom kept his record so he has the original.

After he is finished with his medical on Monday I will let you know how everything worked out and how much everything came up to.

We are in the same boat.  Medical at MoBal Hope Aug 19 interview Aug 28.  My finance was pretty adamant about getting the results back in time for the interview and MoBay hope does plenty of exams for Visas so I am guessing (and hoping) that is enough time.

As for the immunizations - what they told my finance was the cost of the medical was $120USD and that he should have $20,000JMD - $30,000JMD (est $200-$300USD) in cash in the event he needs shots.  I would say your finance should try to find his immunization card if possible and have a clinic evaluate what other shots he will need and if possible get the shots at the other clinic as it will be cheaper.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionU.S. Embassy in Jamaica; 4-6 weeks to receive interview date for K1 Visa?

Listen we just got our interview date and it took a little over 2 weeks to get. It can take a long time but I would recommend scanning and emailing the DS320 to them once you get our kng number and follow up at least once a week. When I followed up with them I tried to be as polite as possible and that seemed to work. My fiancé got an interview date for the end of August. I truly believe keeping on top of them is key.
