K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Question on How to Assemble the I-129F	The way I put the package together was first the cover sheet listing everything I was including. Copies vs. Originals, USC vs. Beneficiary, check etc. I put all my background info, Birth Certificate (the back to mine was blank too so I wrote on it "BACK BLANK", divorce papers and K1 application together with my passport photo clipped to the bundle, then I put my fiances info and his photo clipped to his bundle. As for proof of relationship, I made copies of all pages of my passport, most recent flight to Greece and a copy from www.theknot.com web page of us, how we met, my friends and family that posted on the guest page. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	The RFE Master List	One of the members asked me to post my info on this thread about RFE. After waiting since Saturday, I finally got the letter in the mail. The information they are looking for isn't bank statements, phone bills, emails, pics or letters. In fact, they need more proof on my fiance's divorce. Evidently the document we submitted with the english translation wasn't the actual certificate of divorce but the request for the divorce. So for a Greek divorce we need two documents, one from the church and one from the courts. So off my fiance goes to speak with his lawyer tomorrow to get these two documents, with english translations and copies of all documents back and front. Ugh!!!!! Hopefully we can get this in to the Vermont office soon. We have a deadline to get this in by July 16th. So if anyone is dealing with Greece, they want two forms if it was a divorce from their marriage that happened in the GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH. They want the final divorce decree and the document from the Mitropolis. My fiance had a mutual divorce so his lawyer will be providing him with the documents which will be photo copied back and front and full english translations (certified). Basically our cases were transferred to an as yet unknown office for processing. Likely because the work load at the VCS is pretty high right now. This is actually good news as it shows our applications were looked at at least. Hopefully the will be processed sooner. I called in March to ask a simple question, the dumbass Tier 1 couldn't answer, transferred me to a Tier 2, waited 45 MINUTES, then they were rude as all hell and didn't even give me the time of day and hung up on me after reading an answer off their screen that I could have read on the USCIS website. They need to screen their employees for hiring a bit better ... glad to hear there is SOME progress.   Yeah, I got the e-mail, no text. What sucks now is I don't know if they're going to update the website now because it says to wait to hear a response by MAIL. Oh the torture. CSCers don't know how lucky they are right now.   I've had good luck with my calls to USCIS...very personable and helpful customer service reps. Im waiting now to hear back from them as their call volumes are high..I'm guessing due to these notices. I want to figure out where my case is being transferred to. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2013 filers	I thought I got the approval e-mail and my heart almost leaped out of my chest, but instead I got the same message everyone from VSC got:   "On May 24, 2013, we transferred this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) to another office for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you."   Looks like they're finally taking the initiative to do something about their ridiculous processing time compared to CSC and transferring our cases to either Texas, Nebraska, or even the NBC (?) to take care of their backlog from the pile of files they had to take on from CSC which made them fall behind.   Let's hope this is a good sign and we will all be approved within the next few weeks!!!   You could not have sent it to CSC .. the lockbox sends your case to the center appointed to your geographical location in the US.   lol, at least they're doing something about it now!   I just got the same message! My heart skipped I thought our petition had been approved..but at least theres something happening at THANK GOD!! Keeping my fingers crossed and praying all our applications will be approved soon!! I recently started calling my Senator about the VSC's new projected timeline and delays. Sent out a few letters last week to Representatives in my area as well. I can say beacause I see it on a daily basis that there are many many Dominican people looking for a visa and will do just about anything to get out of the country. I would say that you need to look at your circumstances very carefully. Stress? It could be, but stress shouldn't make you feel like this. How long did you know him before you were married? Who is giving you the warning? Friends? Family? What are his living conditions? You also stated that your relationship has had lots of problems.....This (in my opinion) is a red flag. What are these problems? Have the two of you addressed these problems and do you feel comfortable and at ease moving forward. All relationships have obstacles to overcome, but it should not be to the point that you feel he's not going to stick around. One test that I always use is what I call the "GUT CHECK". I use it if I ever have a question about what I am doing or about to do. 1. Look at the ENTIRE situation and be honest with yourself (which can be very hard to do due to many factors). 2. Ask yourself "Is there anything wrong with what I'm doing or about to do?" 3. If you can honestly answer yourself "NO" then by all means proceed. 4. If your answer is "YES" then 9 times out of 10 you've got a problem somewhere and only "you" know what made you answer "YES". 5. Don't do what you're about to do and rectify the problem!! We all as humans have put ourselves in situations when we know honestly that it could have been prevented with a little extra thought. Just to clarify things so I don't appear to be bad mouthing anyone - not all Dominicans are bad. There are many good Dominicans that live there as well. If it helps, I know what you're going through because I've been there. I'm sure many others on this board feel the same way you do, but being honest enough to admit it is a different story. US Citizenship General Discussion	guys do u have any knowledge on service requests?	Sorry flavaofsummer, it is pretty annoying I know, we're all pretty frustrated. I think it would be a lot less irritating if the USCIS would post realistic processing times, then we would have a better idea of what to expect but that won't happen because in their mass confusion there are random approvals from July 2007 to February 2008 (that's from other sites I've looked at - people from February were receiving interviews). I guess we just have to wait patiently. It could be worse, we could be waiting for an approval indefinitely separated from our spouses right?
