K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?	yea its funny because this reminds me of an experience i had when i went to speak with an immigration officer at the NYC office...my appointment was at 11:30...i showed up around 11 and proceeded to wait...it was moving very quickly and i was actually surprised that i might get out of there earlier than anticipated....UNTIL the clock struck 12 and there was only one window open for the next hour...everyone had went out to lunch, except that ONE, single employee...it was soooooo miserable the guy in back of me even started snoring very loudly ...there was almost no movement for that hour, but once it was 1pm, the line was moving ever so quickly once again....so there are two morals to my story: 1-dont make appointments around 12 2-hopefully things will pick up again after labor day, and we can all stop snoring very loudly isnt it funny how one minute you are completely frustrated with EVERYTHING concerning this visa, thinking that you will get denied/get an RFE...and the next minute you are just completely calm and relaxed, knowing that everything will work out in the end, and that you just need to patient oy vey	BabyBlueSusie	Female	Albania	2007-08-15 13:20:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?	also, the packets vary by consulate as well...some consulates may have you mail in only some of the required documents, and bring others with you to the interview...others consulates may have you mail in every single document (including police certificates and everything) and bring nothing to the interview...some consulates have you mail nothing in and have you bring it all with you on interview day...this all depends...i know that in my packet 3, i will definitely need the police certificates, and i have to mail them in to the consulate	BabyBlueSusie	Female	Albania	2007-08-09 20:44:00

It typically takes a while to obtain, so go for it. We have! We want to have everything ready so that the minute packet 3 is recieved we can turn right around and mail it back same day. be careful about this, its not true for every country...some countries have valid police certificates for one year, others for 6 months, and others for 3 months...i know, for example, that in italy a police certificate is only valid for 6 months...you need to check with the country from whom you are recieving the certificate	BabyBlueSusie	Female	Albania	2007-08-09 20:39:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?	I wasn't suggesting that new petitions were causing the delay. My understanding from another thread here was that the service centers have BEEN handling these petitions this way but Petitioners were still to use the OLD way to file till July 31. My understanding was that Vermont was getting Nebraska and CSC was getting Texas...either way CSC is Churning out those k1's...what is the hold up with VSC??? THAT is the question. I may be wrong but im pretty sure that these centers HAVE been getting the extra K1's without a slow down.....but VSC is almost at a standstill while CSC is on a roll....why....... well that is definitely for sure...this is the first time in history that VSCers are jealous of CSCers...we have absolutely no idea what is going, and literally NOTHING is happening...just to clarify, previously CSC was recieving petitions from NSC and TSC...vermont was just recieving petitions for VSC...probably part of the reason why they were always so quick with approvals...as for nowadays, who knows No approvals from VSC since August 2nd?!?!?!?!?! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?	Question....why is CSC/TEXAS consistently churning out K1's yet Vermont is at a stand still?? Is Vermont Also servicing Nebraska Service Centers K1's???? From before July 31??? If they are...shouldn't we include those prior to July 31 on our list here? Those approvals would also count as VSC approvals since thats' who is servicing them. Texas forwarded to California right?? And Nebraska to Vermont??? Am I correct? If we want a more accurate idea of the noa2's and work coming out of VSC...i personally think we should include Nebraska petitions in our numbers.....May be a bit more encouraging to. Correct me if Im wrong....any ideas would be helpful. They're listed as receiving their NOA1 on March23.....March 23rd?? anyone know if they are still active members? Is it possible they have abandoned their membership here on VJ? Maybe they got their NOA2 long ago. Just seems so un-Vermont-like. If they really are into their 5th month of waiting for an approval, I feel for them. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?	i was under the impression that vsc and csc have been the only two processing centers for quite some time, is that incorrect? im also hoping to get my NOA2 by the 90 day mark, but im betting that things are going to pick up, and we will be seeing our NOA2's sooner than that...im not holding my life to this, and if it doesnt pick up, i wont be devestated or anything...im just saying that history tends to repeat itself, it might not be exactly the way it was last year, but all of the service centers seem to have the trend of peaking in the summer, i dont think thats a coincidence...also ive heard that imbra began last spring, like april, not in august...forgive me if ive been misinformed i am trying to keep things realistic, which is why i dont see this current backlog as the devestation as many others do...i think its normal, and that its not going to be this way forever Edited by babybluesusie, 01 August 2007 - 10:51 AM. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?	wowowowowow congrats, its been a longgg time coming =) We sent our I-129F back in late April from Ireland and it arrived on May 15th. We had our last touch/NOA 1 on May 23rd and are still waiting for the NOA2, or RFE...which ever we get we are ready and waiting for further action on our part. So, 80-ish days is the average for May now? That's fine, so long as we know that the wait is to be more expected. i just want to make sure that you understand...those numbers that i posted are from last year...it was just to show a comparison as to what happened at this time last year on average, last year...people who recieved their NOA1 from VSC in the month of may, had to wait 80 days for their NOA2	BabyBlueSusie	Female	Albania	2007-07-31 20:32:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?	i just wanted to chime in with some timeline research that ive been doing, concerning last year's processing times ive been doing research on those people who applied last year, around the same time of year as us...here are the results that i have found for VSC 2006: Average time between NOA1 and NOA2 April NOA1: 70 days May NOA1: 80 days June NOA1: 61 days July NOA1: 48 days August NOA1: 30 days I think, that it is safe to say that the end is near...i think that this means sometime in august is when they are going to really pick it up again...for people like me, my NOA1 was on July 10th...if i go by this data, my wait should be somewhere around 48 days, BUT i narrowed my research, and found the following for VSC 2006: Average time between NOA1 and NOA2 July 5-15 NOA1: 65 days July 10-15: 55 days so basically it should be about two months for me...we shall see...in essence, we must remember that this trend is normal...although we have seen some crappy weeks the past couple of weeks, with virtually no turn over rate...the vsc will be back in action soon enough, i have faith in it =) hang in guys, and im sorry to say, that the may filers are probably seeing the worst of it...i think there will probably be a huge slew of approvals in 2-3 weeks or so, and itll probably include june filers as well	BabyBlueSusie	Female	Albania	2007-07-31 15:54:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?	seesh. it is such a gamble - who you get on the phone at VSC. today i got one of the "procedure" ladies giving me the run around and nonsense, and just a week ago i got the "let me check on that for you, just a sec" lady. bah! i should probably keep my trap shut, but i end up calmly explaining how flawed the procedure is and responding to every useless option she tries to give me with an explanation of how they are completely useless. bah! she tried to tell me to write a letter, and i told her i never revieved a hard copy of my NOA1 and had serious doubts that would ever recieve any kind of response to a letter. on the other hand, maybe i SHOULD borrow wiombeen's MO, he seemed to get approval pretty quick after that letter went out but DESPITE this, i feel optomistic about it all too:) the helpful last week said my case was out for security checks after an initial review. that's gotta mean it's moving along, eh? deep breaths and focus...come on good news for all! omg i just looked at your timeline...you are overdue my friend...raise hell! sorry, that was inappropriate	BabyBlueSusie	Female	Albania	2007-07-31 09:01:00

Really, I am soooooooooooo disgusted with USCIS and their cohorts--> these embassies under DOS. They really couldn't care less about us; we are nothing but nameless, faceless numbers to these people. I really don't understand why we don't organize and protest or something. If the H1-B visa people can get action, why can't we? More and more delays, lies and needless red tape. You need a friggin' degree to navigate the immigration maze....dot your 'i's and cross your 't's and still you may get tripped up....and by 'tripping' us up, do they realize they forever alter the course of our lives? No humanity and no compassion....just the facts, the rules, policy and regulation. Okay, now they are charging more money for substandard services and we have no choice but to pay them and wait? I am so ready to leave the U.S. and make a life elsewhere. Yes, I know, I know-->"the grass is always greener.......". Tell us about it. :)	since i did my homework on visajourney a long time before we filed, nothing really came as a shock to me...the wait for NOA2 was a bit annoying though, i must say, because at the time i filed it was taking between 30-60 days to recieve an approval, and i received mine in 141 days! what an annoyance...i just filed at an unlucky time i guess *shrugs* that being said, i did overestimate when considering how long the whole process would take, and from the get go i imagined that our interview would be in january / february...at this point, even with the delay, we are still looking at that same general area its definitely is a test, and im sort of glad that we are forced to work together on these things...i learned a lot about my SO and how he deals with such matters very differently than i do...we also learned a lot about eachother just by talking so damn much!! i havent seen him in over 6 months!!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhh that is the worst part, just being seperated...it would be much easier to get things done if we were together the process isnt over though, so i guess i still have more to learn	BabyBlueSusie	Female	Albania	2007-12-14 16:14:00

I found this out today when I called up to change my fiance's address, and also found out that they are sending the documents to Naples, Italy instead of Tirana, Albania. I had a feeling this was going to happen because he currently lives in Italy, but is moving back to Albania very very soon. I requested that the documents be sent to Albania in the I-129F packet, but obviously that did no good. The woman at NVC told me that I need to submit the address change in writing and hope that the file doesn't get sent to Naples before they are able to change the address. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Anyone had tried info pass?	i had an infopass appointment a few months back in order to ask a few questions...dont go around lunch time (between 12-2) because it will go VERY slow until everyone comes back from lunch...there will be like one person there until the flood of officers comes back at 2 my appointment was at the nyc office, but im sure its similar everywhere...im sure they will be able to help you out Edited by babybluesusie, 15 February 2008 - 09:39 AM.
