K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?	this thread is now making me miserable...this used to be a happy place...####### happened?! i know everyone is high strung because there are no approvals right now, but come on...ive been waiting 87 days now, some have been waiting longer, some less...lets just play nice...wanna write a letter or 20?...DO IT...if you dont want to, then DONT...if you want to debate and argue, theres plenty of that going in the Off Topic forum...you can discuss anything under the sun...that is not what this thread is for, and quite frankly, its depressing... until i see some movement at the VSC ill be browsing about, trying to keep myself busy...some suggestions for anyone interested: 1. read a book (or several) 2. knit a quilt (or a sweater!) 3. learn a foreign language (your fiance's or a completely new one) 4. start a small business...ill be guiding tours in NYC starting in November, if anyone is interested =) 5. write letters to congressman, media, etc (concerning immigration or any other issue that interests you) 6. excercise (join the gym!) 7. search for businesses and/or organizations that concern immigrants from your fiance's country (maybe there are some local ones) 8. learn to cook (expand your horizons) 9. study the kama sutra (for obvious reasons) 10. research the potential presidential nominees for 2008 (this would do us ALL some good)	BabyBlueSusie	Female	Albania	2007-09-27 12:31:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?	i just finished writing my 8 letters...i wrote two letters to the offices of both of my Senators (Schumer and Clinton---DC and NYC District Offices), and two to Congressman Nadler (also DC & NYC District Offices)..i also wrote one to the USCIS Ombudsman, as well as the NYC Public Advocate who can be found at the following address: Public Advocate Betsy Gotbaum 1 Centre Street, 15th Floor New York, NY 10007 im not sure if all cities have public advocates, but i know that the really large cities do...so if you live in NYC or LA, or something in that general (huge city) area, look it up and write to that person as well! yay :skips away to the mailbox:	BabyBlueSusie	Female	Albania	2007-09-20 14:50:00

This week last year the average time between NOA1 and NOA2, for a K1, decreased to almost half as much... 7/30/06-8/5/06: 73 days 8/6/06-8/12/06: 100 days 8/13/06-8/19/06: 90 days 8/20/06-8/26/06: 52 days <---this week 8/27/06-9/2/06: 66 days <---there's a couple of outliers, due to RFEs, but still wayyy better than where we are currently at 9/3/07-9/9/07: 41 days 9/10/07-9/16/07: 53 days 9/17/07-9/23/07: 34 days <---doesn't this sound like a dream? granted, the average time for this year is above that of last year, but im still keeping my hopes sky high...if it doesn't pick up this week, im fairly certain that it will after labor day, the latest...it probably won't be the 30 day maximum approval time that we were all hoping for, but i do think the time will go down significantly...they can't stay at a snail's pace forever!! can they? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting for a NOA2 from VSC for your I-129F?	yea its funny because this reminds me of an experience i had when i went to speak with an immigration officer at the NYC office...my appointment was at 11:30...i showed up around 11 and proceeded to wait...it was moving very quickly and i was actually surprised that i might get out of there earlier than anticipated....UNTIL the clock struck 12 and there was only one window open for the next hour...everyone had went out to lunch, except that ONE, single employee...it was soooooo miserable the guy in back of me even started snoring very loudly ...there was almost no movement for that hour, but once it was 1pm, the line was moving ever so quickly once again....so there are two morals to my story: 1-dont make appointments around 12 2-hopefully things will pick up again after labor day, and we can all stop snoring very loudly isnt it funny how one minute you are completely frustrated with EVERYTHING concerning this visa, thinking that you will get denied/get an RFE...and the next minute you are just completely calm and relaxed, knowing that everything will work out in the end, and that you just need to patient oy vey	BabyBlueSusie	Female	Albania	2007-08-15 13:20:00
