Michele -
We went to Taste of Chicago on Saturday -- it was about 90 degrees. We got in and out pretty fast. I tried the alligator -- Roy wouldn't even look at it. He said, "You know they eat people" It was pretty funny. He told me I needed to brush my teeth to get rid of the alligator taste before he would come near me

WOW your a brave one! i would mot have been able to eat that...... the last time richie ate pork he had to hold me down just to get a kiss from me...
How did it taste ?

For those of you who have IDT calling card... can you call the 800# and see if it tells you your balance even though you didnt put in your acct number?

I don't think so.....I think you have to put in your account number otherwise they wouldn't know it was you calling......unless you got a "human" to talk to.

thats the problem i didnt speak to anyone or enter my acct number... it just gave me a ballance of 80(which i never put that much) and then said enter the # you wish to call.

Hi everyone! Can anyone tell me what they did for the Medical exam for AOS? Oneil came on a K1 so he does not need another medical. It says to fill out a I-693A but there is no such thing as the A part. Do I have to go to the civil surgeon to get the form or can I just send a copy of immunization card??? Anyone anyone? I am going to post this under AOS also.

Thanks to Jamie - I used Occuhealth - paid $35.00 and got medical supplement in the mail yesterday along with a copy for our records! They were so nice (and fast). I spent so much money in Kingston for shots to be completed, I was gonna go off if I took him somewhere and they made us pay another arm and leg just to sign off our form.

(quote from Jamie's previous post)
Dr. Kevin O'Keeffe, OCCUHEALTH
726 Broadway, Suite 201
Seattle, WA 98122
Tel: (206)682-2234

I spoke entirely with one of the office assistants named Denise- ask for her. They only charge $35 but the even better part was that I told her that I would be traveling from a far distance and that I was having trouble with the CS in our area. She thought it was total BS that I have to travel and take time off work. She agreed to do it all via fax. I mailed the money order and faxed the vaccination records. She is going to send the results in the mail. I will let you know when I recieve them. She told me that I could refer anyone to them and they will be happy to assist. She just ask that I tell you all to double check that your fiance/spouse have updated Tetnus and MMR as those are the vaccines that are most often missed. They were awesome to deal with and I haven't found anything better out there.

Hope that helps some of you out there

Jamie

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Uk Waiver club 601/212, List for uk waivers sign up!
Mary, I'm really hoping you and Tom hear something soon. We'll be getting into March tomorrow, and it's getting a little ridiculous, to say the least, for both of you.

My only guess is that Tom's situation, from what you've told me, is pretty unique, and I do imagine it's probably a fairly difficult case to adjudicate. Not that I think they haven't had plenty time to ruminate about it already. ;)

Please know that I'm thinking of you both and hoping you hear something soon.

Eeeeeek.

Yeah, e-mail the London Consular address. First, verify that they received those additional materials and that your file is now complete. Then ask if it's been forwarded to USCIS yet and, if not, when it will be.

Be aware that if those were sent on the 15th, you may be looking at another 2 weeks before they get around to opening them. :(

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)Uk Waiver club 601/212, List for uk waivers sign up!

This office does not have your I-601 waiver application. We have not yet
received it from the U.S. Consulate at the American Embassy in London. You
will
need to contact the Immigrant Visa Unit at londonconsular@state.gov

USCIS - London

So can someone please tell me the difference between londonconsular and london.uscis????

should I e-mail the consular address?

(totally confused as to where my I-601 is!!! )

When did you file your I-601 waiver, and how?

The London Consular unit has the responsibility for issuing visas. The USCIS office has the responsibility for adjudicating waivers. If USCIS London does not have it, e-mail the Consular unit and verify that they've received it and will be passing it on to USCIS.

If you mailed your waiver, you might remember from your initial visa process that London sometimes takes 2-3 weeks to open and process mail.

Good luck! :)

Mary, I'm sorry to hear about this. I think the e-mail is a bit rude; I mean, to take 2 minutes to reply to an e-mail is going to slow down their "exceptional" (ha!) processing time? Meh.

Once Ewen actually got to the interview itself (after waiting outside and inside the Embassy), he said it was over and done with in less than five minutes. United KingdomEmbassy in London
You should expect, however, that the interview schedule will be lighter in the summer due to employees on holidays and such. ;)

But yes, the Embassy is indeed open, as is the consular section. Remember that the purposes of an Embassy are many, including assisting American citizens abroad, and thus it takes quite a lot to completely close an Embassy.
