The K3 is not faster than the CR1 and has about a 0.33% chance of actually being granted. The I-129F is normally closed by the NVC when the I-130 reaches them at the same time or before the I-129F

Thew only time they asked me about my NOA2 was on Friday, and that was just to tell me it could take the NVC to get it 4-8 weeks.  All other times they justed wanted to know our USCIS receit number.  Expect this last time I had to give them names and birthdates, that when they told me they had it, but hadnt shipped out and gave me the case number.



Oh wow, the last 5 times that i called them they ask about my noa2, I'll wait until friday noon if I havent receive the hardcopy (NOA2) I will call USCIS to see if they can give me the notice date... thank u and good luck.

Do they ask u about ur NOA2, because everytime that i called them they asked me for that but i havent received it, dont know if it get lost, or somebody took it and never returned it, so i dont know my notice date, what should i do??


Called the NVC today and they told me they had our case and gave me our case number,  Now just gotta wait for it to be shipped out :)

So I received my NOA2 November 14th for my petition and I still dont have the NVC number. I called DOS today to find out if they have received the pettition since NVC is not much help, they said is been taking longer than usual, then called the USCIS to have them track the case and seems like they still have the case in their hands, USCIS told me that it can take 90-days from the NOA2 for NVC to receive the petition. Are you F*(& kidding me! Is anyone else having this problem? cray5ol.gif cray5ol.gif ClockWatch2.gif ClockWatch2.gif . 

 
 
Have you heard anything on your case? NVC number? I am still waiting for mine. 





I have the same problem mine was approved on nov 12, I call DOS and NVC and they told that it could take 4 to 8 weeks, so I call usicis and persona that i spoke (not so nice) told me that i could take 90 days, i f**ing tired of this, why they approved it if they said that??? Anybody can tell me what to do??? Should I talk with a supervisor of tier 2?????

Hey guys, just wanted to give an update on our case - it arrived to NVC approx 1 month after the NOA2. We DID NOT receive any text/email message about the case being shipped from USCIS to NVC. Now the case is received at Kyiv Consulate (status says "Ready").

I encourage everyone at post-NOA2 stage (especially CSC filers) to start calling DOS (much more helpful and faster than NVC guys!) in about 4 weeks after NOA2. Do not wait for an email/text or any USCIS status change - it may never happen but the petition will still be at NVC!

Our I-129f was processed at TSC and I got a message via email and text that it shipped to NVC. Our file was shipped 2 weeks after NOA2, but another Sept filer on this thread got NOA2 on the 12th November and the file just shipped yesterday. He was also notified that the file was shipped from TSC to NVC. 

I guees that I am not lucky... after 9 years of waiting nothing happend... I'll wait until friday... Thank you Trixie

Your sister in law's case is completely different from yours.  I'm willing to bet they applied way before you.  I-130 CR-1 visa's take way longer then K-1.  That's why I went the K-1 route. 

 

Mine still to this day says:

On October 16, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

 

Just send the email and wait. 

 but tell me something, do they send yours to the NVC???? and did you received your NOA2 Hardcopy???

Packet 3 I found on the embassy/consulate web page.  Google is your friend.

 

However, here is a good place.  http://santodomingo.....gov/niv-e.html  Remember, not all embassy's consulates send a packet 3.  It says this under the K3/K4: First:  The Consular Section does not mail Packet 3 to applicants, only mail Packet 4 (appointment letter).  Instead, fill out, electronically Form DS-160

From NOA2 it took mine from CSC, 4 weeks to make it to NVC.  NVC had it for literally 3 days and sent it to the embassy.  USCIS status never changed to saying shipped.

 

I sent an email at 3 weeks with the information below and an attached scan of my I-797 (NOA2).  They responded in 7-10 days with the information I needed.

Can I get the JRS# for my case?  I want to make sure this gets sent to Jerusalem as well.  I originally put Tel Aviv, Israel prior to knowing they wouldn't process a K visa.  Can someone please verify it's getting sent to Jerusalem?

hello sind27, im not sure what is the process in your country, but in Philippines as long as we received the case number from NVC we can schedule our own interview.

Omg this is so so stressed wow... I got a month a nothing happen after they approved it, I call the NVC and they dont have my case yet, And to complete I called uscis because I havent received the HARDCOPY and they told that i had to do the form I-824 I thought that that form was free BUT No it cost US$405 WHATTTTTT????? it is too much.... OMG DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO....Now I feel depressed wow... It wasn't my fault if i didnt receive it, dont know what happend... so sad now...

Here in PI once you got your case number from nvc you can schedule your own interview date by just paying the interview fee..and we can download the packet from the us embassy manila site.. those are just instructions of what to bring and what to do next.. so i paid already my interview fee and got my schedule :) how about yours?

Congrats! We got that also and I talked to the agent and they said they sent it our file electronically on 12/5 and that the consulate received it already. Don't they send the physical copy also? Well either way we are ready to schedule are interview. So excited as we are getting close to being together.

Congrats on your approval!! You need to take everything you submitted in the application with you to the interview. Plus whatever else they request. The police certificate must be recent. Even take the copy of your petition as well. Also you must be present at the interview.. Good luck

Well my husband and I have a beautiful 2 month old baby girl together and I have 2 other childeren(same dad) from a previous relationship that I ended 4 1/2 years ago (for the best) and my husband loves them dearly. So ok my question is will at time of Interview will the CO give us more of a hard time? I have been reading interview reviews but have not been able to find anything that could help. We discussed going down this road because she never received a copy of the marriage certificate. I am really concerned that this would take too long to request seeing as we are due to move in early 2014. We even tried to look up his birth certificate online using a paid service. That route didn't pan out any information that we didn't know already. The guy isn't much of a social media user either, so we couldn't "FaceBook" him. 

 

I just read this on a lawyers site...

 

  • Form G-325A; one for each of you. The information you and your spouse supply on this form will allow the U.S. government to check your backgrounds. Most of the form is self-explanatory. If you really can?t remember or are unable to find out an exact date, enter whatever you can remember, such as the year. Alternately, you can simply say ?unknown,? but if you overuse the ?unknowns? USCIS may return your entire application for another try.

Unfortunately, his birthdate isn't on the divorce decree. 

 

Oh, I am sorry, mine have them on there. That's actually how I got it. What about the marriage license or certificate? If she doesn't have it, I believe you can request a copy from wherever it is they were married. That should definitely have the birth date.

Need your help. I am an active duty service member starting the process of filing for a immigrant visa for my British-born spouse of 7 years. She was previously married for a brief time period, quickly divorced and does not recall her ex's exact birth date. She knows the month and year of his birth but isn't 100% sure on the day. What do we do? Efforts to get in contact with the ex have been fruitless so far and we don't want to sit on our thumbs for too long before getting this process started. It seems the most sensible route is to just put unknown but I could use your collective experiences/thoughts/opinons dealing with the USCIS. Thanks.

Certified translation only means that it has to have a line saying the person translating confirms he or she is capable to do it though. One can do it on their own as well. (Googling gives some samples of what it can look like too.)

 

 

The petitioner or the beneficiary can not translate the documents. It is not necessary to use a professional translator. If its going to the US (USCIS) it doesn't have to be notarized and if its going outside the US (the embassy or consulate) then it must be notarized. You can't do it yourself though.

Since you are the USC Petitioner, you can change your name whenever you want, it will not affect the process in any way.

The OP is the petitioner, they wouldn't have a green card.

 

Yeh I don't know what train of thought I was on, but it is the same situation as me. I am the USC also I changed after petition was sent. But I did use my future married name name on the petition.

I filed my I-130 for my spouse back in May, and I used my maiden name as I had not changed my name yet. I was considering going through the name change process now, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice on the issue. Will it slow down or affect the processing of my husband's visa in any way? Or would it be wise to just wait until the visa is processed and approved before making any changes? Thanks in advance! 

 

I Changed my name after I sent the application but I did use my married name on the application as I knew that I would change it eventually.  I would leave it as is until everything is adjudicated. Then you can put your married name on the greencard and any other identification later.

You will need to contact (603) 334-0700....(it's nervous wrecking) everyday, so that you get an update on the documents approval. For the INVOICES, you will need to log in (nervous wrecking) daily to check if it has been paid. Once it has been paid, just enusre you take the cover sheet(s) and submit with your doucments to NVC...As this will take two weeks for them to 1) Receive in the Mailroom 2) Review Documents 3) Approve/Acept Documents and enter in the system so that DOS can view and begin the process of giving us INTERVIEW DATES!!! :dance:
