IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresVisa Fees Help I'm Lost with this!!

Not until Sept 12, 2014

NO NO NO NO

Q: What if I already paid my fee for an appointment after September 12?

  • For immigrant visa fees, the fee charged to an applicant will be the fee printed on the fee bill the applicant receives from the National Visa Center.  Receipts for Immigrant Visa application processing remain valid for one year

If you refer back to my post I wrote Dec 12 not Sept 12. According to the Fee for services you will have to pay a difference if your interview is on or after DEC 12, refer to the following link.

Perhaps he could send money to his kids instead of to a woman he's never met in person and solve the child support problem that way. Just a suggestion.

You really got a point here, why would someone send money to a woman he dont nothing about and not his kids, what type of selfish man is that, when a woman can leave u your kids will always be there no matter what .....geeeze this just pissed me off, u can give a girl money but not ur kids..... oh God.... :wow: :wow: :wow:

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMailing K1 Application to Lewisville, TX
Thank you guys for the advice, I think that I will go ahead and head down to the post office and pay the $5. That way at least I will know if they got it and cashed the money.

I thought that way would be faster because it was a physical location instead of a drop box. I should have just sent it certified mail to the other address which seems to respond much quicker.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMailing K1 Application to Lewisville, TX
Hi, I am curios to know if anyone mailed their K1 packet to the Lewisville, TX address. I sent my packet Express mail and that is where the instructions indicated I should send it to. I sent it out on the 20th of June and J. Arthur I believe signed for it on the 21st of June. I have not gotten anything from them, no text, no email, and I can't really check to see if they cashed the money order because it was a USPS money order and the only way to trace it is to go pay $5 dollar at the post office to have it traced.

I was reading the June submissions thread, and it seems most people got a response back anywhere from 7 to 10 days of them submitting their packets to the Dallas, TX location. I am begining to worry it might have gotten lost or that it went to the wrong place, even though they have that address on the instructions.

Can anyone tell me if they are going through something similar or if they have sent their packets there and how long it took to get a respnse?

desperate we sent 2 more I 864  in another package  1 in which my husband is listed as employed/returning to work in september(with anticipated salary) the 2 one unemployed cause he is temporarily at the moment and put his income as 0.
He did provide taxes for 2010,2011,2012,2013
so in total we sent to NVC 4 forms 2 in which have mistakes?i hope this wont delay our case and confuse them at NVC

When I sent it in December, the contacted me mid January . Sent back in Janurary, contacted me by the end of Janurary. Sent it back out feburary by the end of February it was okay, they just only asked for my 230.00 fee then

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI lied on my B2 application - will this hurt our K1 chances??

hi guys,

I have a similar situation as Tammy, I have been refused a  U S visa for the second time. under both circumstances I applied as a tourist with an invitation from my fiancée's stepmother and deny know any other person apart from her (step mother) during those previous interviews.

how can this affect my chances since am about going for my k1 visa interview in South Africa.

regards,

sly.

no offense to Tammy, but the difference between you and her you told the truth.... The K-1 visa shows you are willing to get married to your fiancé in the US..... within the 90 days after you land here. If you don't marry here in that duration time MUST GO BACK HOME. Some officers give people the benefits of the doubt and even if they tell the truth they grant them a visa. Depending where you are from makes such a difference, cause by statistics they can classify where a fraudulent crime will arise cause it happens so much....Anyhow....K-1 Excellent choice.... As I said if you aren't marrying her when you come here, you must go back home.... Just have the proof showing you have known her for 2-3 years or however long you known her and you should be set after applying for the K-1

well, if the officer didn't see this post then nothing can be held against. Though it is illegal to even have to mere thought to get engaged to someone before you get on plane to travel to the US and doing it is illegal, ALSO YOU DIDNT MENTION YOUR RELATIONS WITH YOUR BOYFRIEND TO THE IMMIGRATION OFFICER FOR A REASON..... I suppose. You just have to state your story and stick to it now, cause if you confess you will be sent back home....possible bar from the US for a time or indefinitely.....  keep going forward if you choose..... Please don't take offense to what I say, nor am I coaching you but if you start on fib it rolls into another.... memory, assertiveness, you deem it worth it to get this far...... you can only do what you think is right....

Hi,
I went through the K1 fiancee visa process and was denied. It is much better to just marry. It takes the same amount of time and money. If you apply as a fiancee you still have to do a marriage interview here in the states. My recommendation is to marry take plenty of pics like more than 500. Get bank accounts and anything you can under both your names so you have plenty of evidence your relationship is true. The burden of proof falls on you. Good luck in any decision you choose to make and feel free to ask me any questions.

Hi!

I'm the beneficiary and working with my fiance to complete our petition together. (He set me up on his printer on the cloud).

I shipped over some documents to him last January 2013, but we're only getting back to our documentation work now this May 2013, since we now have more time (I just completed graduate school).

Will the date on the G-325A that I shipped over be an issue since we plan to file by this month, but I signed it 5 months ago in January? Or do I have to ship new ones again with more recent dates?

Thank you so much for your help in advance!

Best regards,

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMy fiance in the US is busy; I'm the one preparing the packet for his signature. Is this okay?

Not a problem. It's a think clearbook that she sent me.LOL a little bit expensive but okay. Worth it because if i did it myself it would take months to finish organizing! is it thick package or thin?

Hi!

Its a thinner package I suppose. I just printed out dashboards of emails and blog posts, and the most recent skype conversations. I don't think I could print out 4.5 years worth of text =D

Actually, I did send a clearbook binder too at first, through a friend who was travelling to the US back in January.

But I read through the forums here that it is preferred that the application be sent in a folder instead. And then the forms changed in February, so I have to redo it, now that I have more time myself. I'm in the middle of putting tabs now. I don't know if I'm going to make it before the Fedex/DHL kiosk at the mall closes. I'll send it tomorrow. =D

Hi,

My fiance is busy and I'm doing practically the whole package (except the letter of intent to marry). I'm shipping them over via Fedex/DHL later to the US for his signature, final go through, and to add other items that I can't do.

I'm okay with this because otherwise, we'll take longer. But will this matter to the USCIS officers? Will they know?

Thank you,

That won't be an issue. Every relationship is different, people meet online and hey accept it. Why would meeting your significant other through a friend be an issue? As long as you prove the marriage is real and answer truthfully there isn't anything to worry about.

Congrats!! They don't give you any results, el consultorio sends it directly to the embassy you only get a receipt for the fee you have to pay that's all. As to how soon you receive your visa it's a case by case situation. Many times it takes about 8 business days but lately I've seen many people wait much longer than that. I had mine approved on 01/14/14 and in hands by 01/24/14 and there were holidays in between, therefore it really took 6 business days.
