I'm glad to see that some people "get it". I've advocated time and time again that K1 Filers send in the MINIMUM amount of required petition papers for just this reason. If I were a USCIS paper shuffler, I would want to process thin and organized packets. I think my packet was 27 pages and weighed less than a pound. Remember, you can never be "TOO RICH or TOO THIN", especially the latter when it comes to filing an immigration petition! Not to go too off topic, but just for the OP's (and anyone else's) understanding: from what I've read and understand, USCIS goes through each packet, and puts together their own. So as far as us trying to send in the most organized file, it gets ripped apart. For ours...we had no idea what to do. I didn't see this site until well after we sent it. To VSC too. I had files, and pictures, and emails for the WHOLE TWO YEARS since Tim and I met. Ours was thick!!! When I started getting a clearer understanding that we could have used one trip, instead of them all....I thought "oh oh"...gonna be awhile. We got our NOA2 in 3.5 months. I said that to say, DON"T give up hope OP. It's coming. Who knows why some are delayed. FBI name checks? Maybe they have lots "false" red flags they need to go through between the petitioner and beneficiary. Chances are, they'll tell you that it's still in name checks if you contacted them. The best thing to do, is go on with life, your job, your friends and family, because before you know it....NOA2 is here!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Activated the Visa!!	Hello all! Not sure this is where I should post this, but someone nice will move it, and so I'll say thank-you now! I went through my POE at Vancouver International this morning and after saying that I was activating my K-1 visa, I was asked to go to secondary inspection. (course, I knew that I would). I waited in there almost an hour before my name was called, and the rest was painless. Filled out my 1-94, visa got stamped, the package was opened, and everything in order. That was it. They didn't seem to care what I was bringing with me, ( I had two big suitcase, and also checked wall pictures..lol) But I'm through!! Just a few more hours and I'll be in SC!! Thank you so much for all of the advice that I've been given, and have read from past experiences. I'll be sure to hook up with the AOS thread in October. They usually don't consider primary, ( house and car) but will look at secondary. Or if you have enough in an IRA. Does your fiancee have any? That helps as well. I hope your able to get a job soon.
