P3 - DS230 P4 - Interview letter & checklist You won't get any correspondence like the K1's do once you've received your AOS bill and IV bill from the NVC. So don't sit and wait around and wait for instructions. Next thing you will receive after your bills (barring any RFE's) is the interview letter which is the P4 when your case is complete and forwarded to the NVC. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	NVC changed my wife’s name back to her maiden name.	This happened to me as well because my passport biographic page was still in my maiden name. I emailed my Consulate who said changes can be made at the interview stage. I would email your Consulate and confirm if they will do this as well if your wife now has a passport in her married name. Also, should we wait until it gets closer to the interview to do the medical? No biometrics for CR1. As for the medical, most only have a validity of 6 months which is why he needs to check the requirements for Ireland and also needs to check with the panel physicians in his area. Here in Brisbane they will do the medical with the NVC case # only but I have read of others in Aus who have had to wait for their interview letter before the panel physicians would do it. Some will do the medical with a case # only, some will require the interview letter. Either way, he should be checking. You're doing CR1/IR1 - not sure what you mean by biometrics? Any other to check the status? Unfortunately, NVC only has one telephone line so you'll be on hold for a bit. I would usually try and call about 10.30pm (Eastern) ... the wait is not as long and I found the operators friendlier. That would be your only option if the AVR is not updated. Sorry ... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	how to set out I-130 supporting evidence, and is it needed for the I-129	We have just submitted all the supporting evidence (of proof of relationship) for my American husband's spousal visa for Australia (where I am from), and am now collating it again to submit my I-130 for the USA. Australia was very clear that this supporting evidence not be put in folders or even stapled together. I have not seen any official statement as to how they wanted this submitted, but I have read one personal recommendation to put it in a folder with tabs marking the various types of evidence. Any advice as to how you submitted your evidence? I was also wondering if supporting evidence of proof of relationship has to be submitted again when I submit for the I-129 for the K-3 visa. I know that I need to submit the marriage certificate and birth certificates etc. for each form. By supporting evidence I mean the affidavits from family, joint finances and travel together, meeting family, tickets showing us having flown to meet each other or family flying to our wedding etc.. I know that there is some debate as to whether it is worth applying for the K-3 visa now-days. In my case, I am hoping for a medical exemption from vaccination on the grounds of previous severe reactions to them. Vaccinations are not required for a non-migrant K-3 visa, and so I am hoping the K-3 visa will let me in the the USA if the immigrant visa is delayed by to-ing and fro-ing between my allergy specialist and the panel doctor on this issue (or if it is refused and I need to apply for a moral exemption instead). You don't need to submit the evidence again if you're going to file the I-129F, you will need to submit a copy of the NOA1 for the I-130 with it. Not sure about how to submit the supporting evidence because we only sent what was required for our I-130 (no photos, boarding passes etc) but we did not staple anything. It was all clipped together. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	CR1/IR1 With Stepchildren Coming to USa at same time	After you have filed your petitions and both petitions are at the NVC Pay your Fee bills and complete your required paperwork and forms for both your spouse and stepchildren. During the period right after you have obtained both Case numbers from the NVC make sure you call them and ask them to link the 2 cases so the paperwork moves along together... Yesterday After talking to someone at the NVC about if there was anything i need to do to insure that my stepsons interview date would be the same as my wife's (BTW my Stepson is only 17 months old) They told me i just need to send and Email or a letter to the NVC and request that the 2 NVC cases be processed in a way that will set them up to have Interview on the same date. This is one of those things I cant find any documentation anywhere I didn't have to request an interview on the same date. Once they link them and you pay the AOS fee for the CR1 beneficiary it should automatically pick up CR2 as being eligible for further processing (you only paid the $70 on your wife's?). As long as the AOS and DS-230 packets are sent together you shouldn't have an issue with the interview dates. I should add though that my daughter's P4 arrived about 4 hours before mine ... We have been seperated more then a year i went to visit him for 15 days and thats it now were in AP waitting to get the visa its realy hard MQ - sorry your AP is taking so long. I average about $250/mth on my phone and he averages about $300 because for some reason in the US if you're not with the same network and you receive a call, you still pay?? #######?? I spend about $20/mth on phone cards so I can call him while I'm at work and he is at home then it doesn't cost him anything. Internet, meh. Doesn't count because even without the LDR I would still have it. Airfares about $10K in the last 9 months, gifts & snail mail ... who knows. We have a habit of just mailing each other something stupid that we see to surprise the other. My most recent gift to him was a pack of Aussie Bull$hit bags ... he liked them alot. Just plain brown paper bags with instructions like ... Open bag before opening your mouth and Place bag beneath chin ... We email while I'm at work or I call. I will say goodnight to him so about 30 mins at night on Skype depending on how tired I am and then he will say good morning when I wake and we chat for about another 30 mins while I have my coffee. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Putting a child on the K1 but can't get Father's signature	The Consulate will want court orders at interview stage. Like Terri said, you will need to ring the Family Law courts in your state to find out the requirements for filing custody orders. Victoria may have Chamber Magistrates, like NSW, that you can see for advice on how to proceed. Qld does not have them. Ring CSA and find out if you have a case manager and speak to him/her about contacting him on your behalf. I have done this but that was 7 years ago and havce not had to deal with the CSA since. I am sure the whole system is now different, If the details they have for him are not current, you may be able to use that. She won't qualify for the 90 day ETA. If you enter on the ETA, it works the same the world over. You can't be looking for work unless you already have a valid visa which will allow you to work and that is why you're enquiring about options for your girlfriend?
