US Embassy and Consulate Discussionvisa sill not issued ..frustrated!

Don't you think it would say Administrative Processing and not Ready if we were in AP??

NORMALLY it should show "AP" if we were in Administrative processing but when my baby call DOS they told him that my case is in Administrative processing but I see "ready" on the website so I don't know what to think ....

I am in the exact same boat as you.  My husband's interview was in Kingston Jamaica on November 26th and he was approved and we are still waiting on the damn visa.  CEAC status is stuck on Ready but its updated EVERY day.  I call DOS and they just say the case is pending.  I am going so crazy here waiting. They say everything is normal and there are no problems but I am so worried. Let's just hang in there together and we will get through this :-)

Yes ....let's pray for each other :-)

Your wait might just be over this week! Praying it happens soon!

I hope so my dear cause I just can't wait anymore ....I am so sad

I'm so sorry!!!keep faith you'll get it by this week.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)Anyone from TSC K1 fiance please comment when you get a case number!!

Hello,

We are almost ready to send off our I-129F petition to the Dallas Lockbox (thinking of sending it to the Lewisville one by courier but not sure about that). Am I right in thinking that all new petitions are sent either to CSC or TSC, as VSC is backed up too much?

My fiance lives in Florida so I assume it would go to TSC? And will it go straight there from the lockbox or do they send it to VSC first who then pass it on?

Sorry for all the questions but it seems a bit confusing and I'm trying to get a rough estimate of how long NOA1 and NOA2 will take at this new location.

Thanks in advance!

National Visa Center (Dept of State)NOA2 APPROVED IN OCTOBER.. WAITING FOR NVC CASE NUMBER

Hello. I called NVC today and I got my case number smile.pngsmile.pngsmile.png I'm guessing it got there either yesterday or today, as the lady said it wasn't there yesterday afternoon.

The guy who gave me my case number said that they still need to update the file, which I'm guessing is the reason I get this message on the CEAC website...

At NVC (in big bold letters at top of mini page).

Immigrant Visa Case Number: LNDxxxxxxxxxx

Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) for the next step in the processing of your visa petition. If you have misplaced the instructions sent to you by the NVC or did not receive them, please contact us athttp://travel.state..../info_3177.html for additional information.

Hopefully those who have a similar approval date to me get theirs soon too. smile.png

National Visa Center (Dept of State)NOA2 APPROVED IN OCTOBER.. WAITING FOR NVC CASE NUMBER

Our petition was shipped last Monday so I thought I would ring DoS today to see if it had reached the NVC.

The lady I spoke with asked when it had been approved and said it takes a few weeks from there. I said I had an email that it was shipped on Nov 4th and could she please still check. She said it was probably too early to call as its been taking a month or so for them to receive petitions and get case numbers. She checked and said mine wasn't there yet.

I think I'm gonna ring at the end of today. She sounded like she was trying to tell me off for asking and I can't see how it would take a month for it to be received after it was posted on Monday? I guess I sound a little crabby because I see people with similar NOA1 dates who have already got their case numbers, and some have theirs ready at the embassy. I know I should be patient, but I don't see how this stage has hold-ups when NOA2s are happening very quickly for 90% of people. Shouldn't this be a simpler step?

*sigh* Rant over lol.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionNotarized Letter Time Frame

Sorry to create a new thread for this, but I couldn't see that it has been asked anywhere before...

I'm in the states until Dec 18th, but our application is already in transit to the embassy. This leaves me with a very tight timeframe, having to arrange a police check, medical exam and wait for them to receive the results to schedule an interview before February 22nd (which is when my NOA2 expires).

I've read about the current delay between the London embassy receiving the results and scheduling interviews and, knowing my luck, my petition will have expired before the interview. Post between America and England can get lost easily (and has happened a fair few times) so I was wondering if we can get a notarized letter of intent to marry on Dec 18th? Would that be an acceptable timeframe for an interview after Feb 22nd or are the dates too far apart?

Does anyone know how close the re-affirmed letter of intent needs to be to an interview?

Thanks for any help!

Thank you my friend. Your response made me feel better

I filed my petition 3 days after my divorce was final, just got my NOA2 yesterday (91 days). You won't have a problem with that particular issue.

Brad,

Did you try any "???? ?????????" (Salmon Caviar) while you were there? I thought I'd hate it but I actually love the stuff! Tanya served it on crusty bread with butter ... Yummy!

Yeah .... the stinky fish ... I can live without it. Tanya called it: "Fish in a fur coat" or something like that. (it sounds even LESS appealing with that name!)

Ryan,

I translated paragraph 2 and it looks like you can change the passport while you are here in the US. Since your Fiancée ( by this time your wife), will have come to the US as a "temporary visitor" She does have the option of applying at the consulate. The reason she can is because when she entered the US on the K1 visa, she did not have a Green Card.
Also remember that Green Cards are issued to spouses of US citizens to live permanently in the USA and to my knowledge are not to be used as multiple entry visas. So be careful how you approach is subject with USCIS.
"Citizens of Ukraine who left Ukraine temporarily and local authorities are authorized to reside permanently in the United States (holders of Permanent Resident Card), and who for various reasons not arranged permission to leave Ukraine for permanent residence abroad (PMP) can obtain a new passport citizen of Ukraine for travel abroad to meet the Consulate General after the application for permanent residence in the U.S.. At the time of consideration of such application the applicant will be accepted on temporary consular registration for one year (in case of a valid passport)."

Good Luck,
Tom

Can you imagine this reasoning being applied in the USA

It is OK for men to act "like men" when women are not around. Funny how they seem to accept that men "do things" (smoke, drink, swear, look at women, etc.) just do not do it around them!
