K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsDid any of u receive NOA2 if u filed in JUne- July?

I know. I feel like if just 1 June/July filer from the CSC was approved I'd sleep better. I mean, it's been no one! It appears 0 applications are being processed right now.

We filed in May and I went to Sydney to visit Paul for 2 weeks... I just added that information to my files so when we meet with the consulate. I could not imaging not seeing him during any of this time... that would really suck!

Ya we are on day 110 :( I've been watching the timeline estimation dates and tracking them for a while... its moved around June dates since the beginning of August so I wouldn't get your hopes up it doesn't seem to hold much merit...

I know how you feel we are in the same boat!! 115 days!!!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsFamily Based Visa's
I just found this information because I have been wondering what is going on with the CSC.

No Visa Authorization in Most Categories until October 1 Written by Jordana Hart Wednesday, 22 September 2010 The U.S. Department of State (DOS) - which controls the monthly issuance of visa numbers in all family-based and employment-based preference categories - informed the U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) that there are no available visa numbers in many categories until October 1, 2010, which marks the start of fiscal year 2011 and the issuance of a new set of annual numerical limitations. The categories affected are:

- ALL Family Preference categories
- Second-, Third-, Third Other Worker
- Fourth- and Fourth Preference Religious Workers

The DOS said it had to impose the blackout because the numerical limitations in these categories are met due to high demand coupled with expeditious processing by the DOS in the family categories and by the USCIS in the employment categories. USCIS offices will continue to submit cases in the usual manner, but until visa numbers become available, the DOS will hold those cases in "pending demand". These cases will be automatically authorized based on the FY 2011 cut-off dates, also know as priority dates, which are determined by the date of filing of a PERM application or an I-130 or I-140 petition. Last Updated ( Wednesday, 22 September 2010 )

Perhaps since it is a new FY for the Government they will start to finalize the I-129 / K1 visas???? I should have remembers that the Government started October 1...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsThe CSC Received over 2,000 I-129Fs in August

At risk of sounding like a USCIS/CSC apologist, I think a certain number of those petitions were "rejected" for not having the fee and other reasons but think they go in the stats because they do in fact take time to handle. There was also a big pile of who failed to complete the paperwork properly but didn't screw it up bad enough to fit the criteria of "reject" so they had to accept and issue RFE. Oh and don't forget about the pile of left over RFE debris from the previous month that had to be cleaned up.

oh, I imagine CSC also processes other types of applications.

USCIS is the largest immigration service in the world. We receive between six and eight million applications and petitions every year. On a daily basis, the 15,000 federal and contract employees of USCIS accomplish the following at our 250 offices worldwide:

*
Conduct 135,000 national security background checks
*
Capture 11,000 sets of fingerprints at 130 Application Support Centers
*
Receive 200,000 visitors to our web site
*
Welcome 3,200 new citizens
*
Answer phone inquiries from 41,000 callers to our toll-free customer service phone line
*
Welcome 3,300 new permanent residents
*
Process 30,000 applications for immigrant benefits
*
Adjudicate nearly 200 refugee applications from around the world
*
Answer questions from 12,000 customers at our 84 local offices
*
Help American parents adopt nearly 125 foreign-born orphans
*
Issue 7,000 Permanent Resident Cards (green cards)
*
Grant asylum to 40 individuals already in the United States
*
Naturalize 27 individuals serving in the United States military

THAT DATA IS FROM 2008 SO IT IS NOT VALID.

Welcome aboard. Yes, the CSC is on some sort of hiatus with approving I129f's. For the most part if you filed after 15 May...you are still waiting. There have been some sporadic approvals of late May Filers, but very few. And even less June Filers. We are all pretty much in riot mode around here. I am at exactly 4 months post NOA1 tomorrow. At this point, I'm just looking forward to when I can call and inquire, call my congressional reps, etc.

Good luck in your journey.

Hey everyone! I am new to posting, but I have been stalking to boards for months now :) This site has been such a blessing, I can't imagine how anyone does this without using VJ as a resource! We got caught in the crazy CSC "stoppage" by a matter of days... sent our I-129F to the CSC May 24, NOA1 of June 3, with a last touch date of 6/10/2010... it has been very hard (as you all know!) We made wedding plans for the end of January and I am in an absolute panic that everything won't be processed in time... I guess all we can do is think good thoughts and hope that the CSC suddenly returns to it's formerly speedy self! I am very nervous that the holidays will hit and there with be no interview/processing in dec and jan... sigh. i just wish he could live here while all of this happens. Sorry for a rather useless "poor me" rant... probably not the best impression to start with on the VJ site, huh? haha. much love and luck to everyone else who is waiting... at least there is skype, right?

I am a May filer and have a touch after my NOA1 on 06-07-10.. I know exactly how you feel!

Question to SR members. Does the USCIS count holiday's & weekends? Today is 112 days since I received NOA1 or 80 (without holiday's & weekend). If anyone knows that would be great this waiting is making me sick! :(:crying:

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionDS-156K form question

In section 5 of DS-156K form, the form is requesting information regarding the beneficiary's ( fiancee ) children, and whether they are accompanying or following.  Then in bold print after section 5, the form directs people to provide birth certificates for the children listed in section 5.  Do they need to be english translations of the birth certificate?  Also is this required even if the children are not accompanying or following?

Thanks....trying to prepare for the second part of the application process.

PhilippinesOctober 2013 NOA2's --> NVC received dates

Just got off the phone with NVC.  My case arrived on 11/11, and just got entered in their system.  It should get a case number shortly and be on its way.  My NOA2 was 10/16 out of CA.

PhilippinesOctober 2013 NOA2's --> NVC received dates

Can people that received their NOA2's in October/November 2013 list their NOA2 date here and if they had their files received by the NVC yet. Please include which USCIS center processed you.

This is just so us Oct/Nov people can get a basic idea if the holiday season is making the processing a little faster or slower. I'm sure I would get a bit more excited after seeing a few October petitioners start listing that the NVC received their files.

---

My NOA2 is Oct 25. from California Service Center. To date, NVC has not received my files yet.

My approval was 10/16 from California service center and I just called nvc / dos a few minutes ago.  Nothing yet.  I did see however that someone from CA service center that was approved on 10/8 updated their timeline to say nvc received their file today.  Hope that helps, although it is probably not the news your looking for.

CanadaCanadian 2013 Filers

Happy Thanksgiving weekend to both you, and everyone else in the thread! :) I'm looking forward to a turkey dinner, and pumpkin pie. Mmm.

On a happy note, I just received my immunization records today! Took over a month, but I'm so relieved they were found.

CanadaCanadian 2013 Filers

I find myself craving new posts, as it would indicate some sort of progress for someone.  Don't you all feel as if we're in a void, just wishing to get our feet back on the ground.... but with our loved ones?!

I'm sure wishing I didn't have to spend another winter in Alberta:(

I totally understand. I'm dreading spending the holiday season here in BC, not for weather reasons (as Victoria's weather is always pretty mild), but because I'm working in retail temporarily until my paperwork goes through, and I'm already exhausted from the hours I've been pulling.

Here's to hoping we'll start hearing about some NOA2s soon!
