Claudeth and I wish you the best, we will be doing her I-751 in about a month and a half good.gif

Thank you! Wishing you both good luck! wink.gif

Good luck,

here is a long list of separate interview questions: http://www.immihelp.com/greencard/***removed***/marriage-based-greencard-fraud-interview.html

who knows how far they will go in their quality control?

The questions on this site are a hoot!! I printed them out and took them to work and showed my female friends, they all just snorted and laughed and said their husband's would get over half wrong, and their husbands are usc's. I asked MY husband some of them like, 'what color are the curtains in the bedroom'? And he goes, wait let me go look... whistling.gif He's lived here going on 4 years now and we've never moved or redecorated, men just don't pay attention to these things. And my birthday was just this past Oct. I have no rememberance of what he got me if anything. We just aren't big on these kinds of things. Some of these questions might be good indicators but I find them ridiculous, and some were even offensive! Instead of calling US for an interview, I think they should come visit us and they can just ask the neighbors about us. Well, we've not even been called for an interview, so I guess I'll get off my soap box now.... tongue.gif

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionWho else has been waiting over a year????
Well, we've been waiting since January 4, 2007. And although my husband is not from the middle east, I honestly don't think it's because he's from Morocco either that is the problem. He's already had all the extra 'administrative processing' bs that was required back in 2003/2004. In any case, that was an unkind remark from iansig regarding terrorism and the middle east. We are frustrated like everyone else on here. And like Scapel, if there's a class action lawsuit, count me in! yes.gif

Hey, can we get an update with your situations?

I am going through similar experience. But I called the OSC number and the person was very helpful. He told me to have the employer call the number. And if they still refuse to take the NOA letter, I can file a formal complain. I am expecting a callback from the employer any moment now.

After that happened at Social Security office I had Gavin call the Office of Special Counsel. They were no help at all and didn't care about either the Sears situation OR the Social Security card.

This is very frustrating

My husband went through this exact thing a about a year and a half ago. I called the justice department and the man I got was wonderful. He took care of it and my husband had the job within a few days.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionFinally - my husband's turn has come!!
Thanks everyone. This is especially nice for him as he's having thyroid surgery Wednesday morning. The anxiety of that and wondering if we'd be called for an interview was really stressing him out. With this good news and the valium the doc is letting him take for tonight and tomorrow night, he's feeling much better!!! biggrin.gif

Wooo-hoooo.... kicking.gif Wow, I was really shocked when I saw the email. Hubby never actually believed he'd get it. So we went right to naturalization, which btw they received and signed for the N-400 packet on Friday morning. Nonetheless I'm very happy, and so is he!!!

When I got home from work, what did I find? Hubby's 10 yr green card in the mail, along with 'receipt with exception' NOA for the N-400, AND the NOA for biometrics! wow, what a haul!! biggrin.gif Now I'll hop over to the naturalization forum to explain the 'receipt with exception' in case anyone's curious....

The answer is : minimum 4 times, and there's no maximum blink.gif , according to this article that i found in another forum : http://www.post-gaze...5180/530331.stm

very interesting piece although it is 3 years old. I wish the writer publishes an update soon.

Yep, apparently minimum 4 times is correct. Hubby did indeed have biometrics 4 times since 2004, this last time for naturalization. So I guess he's done! yay!!!!! biggrin.gif

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionNew processing times - is the USCIS lying?
Congratulations everyone, seems things are running at lightening speed now! We even received another email from CRIS saying they mailed out the approval notice on the 15th, and on the 16th our check was cashed for the N-400. Our mailbox should be overflowing with all this good news soon! laughing.gif And more good news for us, hubby's surgery went beautifully, took half his thyroid with a growth the size of a lemon on it, but it was non-cancerous and he's so happy he can now sleep and breathe without difficulty. What a beautiful month May has been for us, yippeee!!! star_smile.gif

Well, it is good to see all these approvals and I'm happy for everyone, but this thread made me obsessive about checking email WAY TOO MUCH!!!! wacko.gif So rather than stress out about it anymore since we are in our 16th month of waiting we finished up his N-400 last night and I mailed it out this morning.

If we ever get an NOA for it I suppose I should move this over to the naturalization thread then?

Good luck to all those waiting as long and longer than we have, may you be approved soon!!!

Congratulations to everybody, I'm so happy for you all!!! But geez..... we are still waiting and so far ahead of many of you. But I guess it doesn't matter a whole lot, we're mailing in his N-400 tomorrow. He'll probably become a citizen before he becomes a 10 year permanent resident. rolleyes.gif

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionNew processing times - is the USCIS lying?
Well, I (petitioner) just tried to do a service request for my husband (applicant) and they wouldn't help me. They said he had to call and request it. Fine, but 'my english is perfect' hubby can't even make his own doctor appts., imagine him trying to get through USCIS recording!! laughing.gif Actually, face to face he manages wonderfully, he still has a hard time with phone communication..... He works 6am - 3pm and I work 8am - 5pm, so it's quite difficult for us to do this together so now USCIS is 'forcing' me (too harsh?) to run home to meet him and try to get this done. I am just so fed up and frustrated with all this.... mad.gif

WHY DID THEY STOP APPROVING US??? What is wrong with CSC ????

Seaflower, I would not start worrying yet. The approvals now coming out of CSC were of those filed in late March 2007. Did you file around June 2007? If so, I am sure there are many folks waiting for approvals in between March/April and June.
It is hard to wait all this time - I should know because it took 14 months for the approval. But, at least it seems with most of the transferred cases, they are going by the NOA dates at NSC.

I meant to say ..... The approvals now coming out of CSC were of those filed in late February/early March 2007."

Edit time clocked out blink.gif

Well, as you can see, we filed end of Dec. 2006. And still nothing. It's hard not to believe it's nothing prejudicial anymore..... At this point we wouldn't even care if they notified us for an interview, at least it would be giving us some kind of attention!

I am sorry to hear that , but I am in the same boat and i feel the same way too,

Thanks, Seaflower and Limeyiowa! Just sharing this makes me feel a little better!:) Have any of you tried to call for a service request or maybe you think it is too early yet?

I have not received mail regarding transfer but I received email weeks ago.I called Customer service just to find out why I did'nt receive mail regarding transfer. They said It might be lost in mail.I asked to send anotherone she saidthey cannot send another one and told me to wait and they will request if they need something from me.

I got an email on Apr.2 about my case is transfered to "another" service center. On Apr. 14, I got a mail about my case was transfered to CSC on Mar. 27. I think maybe you should not worry too much about if you got the mail. Everyone here who got transfered or approved always got notice from the email first. So I guess the email notice is very accurate and they might just simply forgot to print the mail or mail it to you. You know, it is NSC and nothing surprises me.

Every day when I read about others got approved, it is very hard to keep myself calm and not get crazy about this waiting.

SLC12 I got the same email and letter in the mail on the same dates as you, with the March 27th date as transferred as well. There is no rhyme or reason as to how they are processing our cases, as 'we process cases in the order they are received' has absolutely no meaning for me. Look at my timeline then look at others who've filed many months after and are already approved. Doesn't matter if it was NSC or CSC, we're still lagging behind many people.

My heart goes out to you people. I hope since your husband is from Morocco this isn't an anti-Muslim issue from within USCIS.

I've wondered about this myself. Our AOS interview 'way back when' went very well. I've not kept very good tabs on the other north african countries or other muslim countries spouses who post on here so I really can't say. But believe me, it's in the back of my mind all the time.... unsure.gif

Certainly not us! And here we are rounding the bend into our 16th month of waiting mad.gif . But at least I have something else to occupy my time now, health insurance duress, blahh.... that's why we haven't filed the N-400 yet, waiting to see what the insurance company will pay for the ultrasound, ct scan and fine needle aspiration and biopsy that hubby needed on his neck. It's a toss up at this point, pay for the N-400 in hopes insurance will pay the bulk of the bills, or just wait until that's all finally finished then continue on our journey. Talk about stress, it's hitting us from all angles now....

Well, it's 5:00pm here in Boulder, and I'm getting off work, anybody care to join me for a drink and commisserate?? tongue.gif

Nice, I work in Boulder. Maybe next time, the Foundry on Pearl Street? I am getting mad.gif , too, about the wait. But with the two weeks vacation coming up, I get myself busy with the planning. It is always good to think of something else rather than USCIS. Good luck with the insurance!

Foundry on Pearl would be great! pm me some time and I could meet you there. Have a great vacation!

Congratulations to everyone getting that email!! Where is ours??? crying.gif We filed before many of you guys getting notice of card production ordered. Right about now I'm thinking we'll be tagged for an interview. Not that it's a problem, we've been together since 2003, it's just the hassle and annoyance of the whole process. Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionNew processing times - is the USCIS lying?
I noticed several folks here have said they filed their N-400 and think maybe that has something to do with their I-751 being moved to CSC (or wherever we think they went!). My husband hasn't filed his N-400 yet, but it seems a lot of us in about the same time frame were touched and moved together. All we've received so far is just that one email, nothing like some of you got. In any case he'll be filing for naturalization shortly, as he is also severly limited as to where he can travel because of where his passport is from....

Regarding drawbridgep's infopass appt. I don't know why they would tell you to buy your ticket then come back. You don't have to prove your going anywhere as far as I understand to get the stamp. You would need the stamp anyway if your NOA and gc expire and you're wanting to get another job. That's how it's worked for my husband. He jumped the gun a little bit by making an infopass appt. last July (his NOA letter just expired this past Jan. 4th, and gc expired March '07) but he was worried the letter and expired gc wouldn't be enough to travel and we were getting ready to leave for Morocco. So we went in and he just told them he wanted a stamp, they looked at his letter and gave him his stamp without a word. Of course, wayyyy back in July tongue.gif we were ever so hopeful he'd be approved by NOW! Anyway, the stamp proved quite useful when he applied for a new job, since his other documents were expired. We forgot to have the restriction removed from his social security card when he got his 2 yr gc, so that still isn't good enough on it's own (I'm still kicking myself over that one...). Now, unless he's feeling really ready to file for naturalization I would guess we make another infopass appt. to get a new stamp near the expiration of the current one?? Barring of course a miracle our I-751 is approved by then, which seems very unlikely. dry.gif

The new processing date of the I-751 at the Nebraska service center is Feb 9, 2007, as of Dec 14, 2007 . As far as I understand, that means that at Dec 14, the oldest non-processed I-751 application should be from Feb 9, 2007, or am I wrong? There are many of us who have a NOA with a date before Feb 9 who haven't heard anything from the USCIS until Dec 14, and there seems to be none that has been approved or received a RFE after September this year. What is going on? I can understand that a few applications can be missed when counting, after all, not counting but processing is their job. There are, however, too many "missed" application now. I have read on their website that they have been overwhelmed this summer with new applications, especially naturalizations. So, why don't they admit that they can't make progress with old less-urgent application like ours now? Why are they lying instead?

Below are the data from some applicants out of the status thread, many of them having a NOA before 02/09/07. Please add yourself or give your data, if you fall into this time window.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionK1 suspended HELP ADVICE NEEDED
Some of the frusterations of this process. You don't hear anything for a month or more, then you have to scrable to get information. Then wait some more. I feel for you. We're going through a similar set back.

I don't know exactly what they are asking for and I don't think they will give you explicit instructions on this. So what I have are suggestions. Remember, these need to have happened between the time of your return and when your travel visa expired. The closer you get to your return date the better.

Do you have credit card transactions that are from local stores?
I would think that having transactions that show you were present would work.

Were you employed?
Getting a signed letter from your employer stating start date on company letter head.

Recipt of travel.
Documents showing return travel, itenerary, plane tickets ( most airlines maintain these ), credit card transactions at airports.

Cancelled checks ( banks often keep these on records ) for rent or utilities

Did you have a land line or cell phone? Phone records while not always a guarantee might be enough to sway them.

It is a gray area and the better your proof the better your chances.

Good luck!
