If it were me I would go ahead and try to get another translation just in case they ask for one to replace the incorrect one. I know it's a royal pain but at least then you won't have to go scurrying around if that happens. Good luck! Egypt is a lot easier to go through now that they've changed personnel over there. When I was going through it things took FOREVER and the people at the embassy were very very rude.

hey guys, im in the process of my CR-1. however, im kinda worried about the I-864 when it arrives. im still a student and dont meet the income requirement. im going to use my mom as a joint sponsor but she doesnt meet the income requirement either. shes about 10k short, so im going to use the asset for the remaining balance. so im looking at around 50k worth of asset. im going to put the house in as an asset. did any of you guys use this method? did it work out ok? also, she never met the income requirement for the past 3 years, about 10k short every year. but she do file for tax and everything. so is this going to be any problems you guys? im kinda stressed out over this for the past 6 monthes. im worried that the petition will be approve and everything but in the end, she wont be able to come over because of the income requirement.

Tax transcripts are more valid as they showed you actually filed. No need 1099s also. Get 3 years. 800-829- 1040 -24/7. Takes about 6 days. Free also.
No need to send 1040s and other ####### but doesn't hurt.
I sent both. Worked for me I'm self employed also. Worked for me and I didn't have any 1099s.

so the tax transcript include all of those even if you're self employed? sorry for my ignorance

what if the co-sponsor is a household member?

will it suffice to submit the I-864 executed respectively by the sponsor and co-sponsor (who are residing in the same household) without submitting the i-864A? the income of the co-sponsor is more than enough to cover for the income requirements prescribed by the USCIS.

er, this is getting kind of vague at this point..

If the Joint Sponsor (there is no co sponsor) is also a Household member (let's say the Sponsor lives with her parents) and the HM/parent agrees to put their income up for support, it appears that they have a choice of how to file:

-As a HM, and they complete an I-864A to the Sponsor's I-864
or, they love paperwork
-As a Joint Sponsor, and they (parent) complete an i-864 of their own.

I *think* I've got this right, from what you've posted.

It would be more appropriate for you to start your own thread on this topic, as this is a general IV Guide topic.

I got mine today from NVC and it's the same packet. They send all the forms anyway. Just fill the I-864 if your income is enough for the 125%. If not you have to add a joint sponsor. Both of you will sign the same I-864. The I-864A is for a household member whose income you want to add. A little different from the I-864. The instructions is very clear on that.

You can notify the USCIS facility that's holding your I-130 petition when you become a citizen (don't know how you do that) and the priority date will be adjusted accordingly. You shouldn't need to submit a new I-130. Consult with an immigration attorney for the details.

You can't submit an I-129f for your spouse until you become a citizen.

Hi everyone! I am new here, after browsing the net for info regarding immigration issues i finally found this site that could relate to my issues. I am a LPR entered here in US last April 2002, I married my now husband last December 2004 and filed a petition for him as a spouse of LPR last January 2005, but i know that it will take more than five years for it to be approved, now I've been here for more than 4 years now and will be eligible to file for citizenship on April 2007. My question is what will happen to the previous I-130 i filed when i become a US citizen? I want to file for K-3 visa also but dont know if i need to file a new I-130 as a US citizen?

All you got to do is make copies of your citizenship certificate and the NOA 2 letter. Send all two to NVC in NH address. You don't have to do much. They'll contact you pretty fast. Good Luck!

IV Fee Bill paid... No info at NVC

Has this happened to anyone? I've paid the IV Fee of $380. I used USPS Money order. After 14 agonizing days, NVC cannot tell me anything about this payment. How long do I have to wait to hear that they've received my money. The post office was a joke this morning! I should wait 60 days before they can tell if it's been cashed. Hello! Do I have time to wait?
I'm getting impatient about all this wait...I've been at it since 2003.

I finally realized every time I did any paperwork with the NVC, it took 2 weeks for them to acknowledge their receipt, and then it two about 1 week or 10 days to respond back to me, for each function. Awwwwgggghhh!

Anyway, just hang in there .... it is better to call them directly not just the automated system.

Finally, this morning, I was told via phone that they got my IV Fee on June 6th! That was ten days ago. All the same, I've sent them the James" shortcut version of the DS-230 for all I care.
