Philippines	noa2 via CSC what took you so long	I would say expect 200 days plus or minus 7 days. If you hit 200 days and no Noa2 then call and ask for a service request. I asked at 194 days I believe and was approved exactly 2 weeks later and this was with Xmas. Good luck. Yeah I am at 194 days and it is just frustrating. My fiancee keeps asking me about what is taking so long and to use my military benefits as I am a veteran but I told her that we don't have an advantage over others just because I was in the military. Anyways long story short, if I don't hear anything this week from CSC about my case even an RFE would do (hope not though)I am going to my local congresswoman and having her staff try and find out some answers for me. Yah I'm almost at 200 days which is crazy me and my fiancé are trying to stay positive but it's just talking so long I know tell me about it, I'm at 198 as of today. Yayyyy for CSC for being slow or I just don't know. I hope they process us pretty soon and hear something even an RFE (not really) but, just need to know that someone has my petition and is adjudicating it. Did you include photos in your packet (with dates, names and places on the back?) Also, you can sign into your account on USCIS and see if your application has been "touched" recently. No I didn't all I had was emails and call logs. When I went to India I forgot to take pictures, but I took a second trip for a proper engagement with a lot of family and guests and have lots and lots of picturs. I am already expecting an RFE for the pictures and I have ready with everything in written in the back. So I will send it off as soon as I get something. I checked online and my petition has not been touched yet. Just waiting. Someone from July 19th got their NOA2 on March 1st. So hopeing we are soon to follow. When I originally submitted my packet, I had only included snap shots of my emails with my fiancee, as it would be three reams of paper plus if I sit to print them all, would that suffice or do I need to have each email printed out and chats printed out. I mean the snapshots have dates to them and I can highlight them and all. Being an environmentalist that I am, I tried to save paper and wastage by just doing that. Would that be an issue or no? I know I am going to get an RFE and I already have my evidences ready. It is taking a toll put we will get through this, contacting any representatives have been futile by some members here as well as my me. Still maybe too early to get excited for the July onwards filers (me included!) I too contacted my congressman for help, they said they have put in a congressional inquriy about 20 days ago. Based on what I see here it shouldn't have taken this long to get back to me with an answer, so I emailed the aide again lets see what the reply is. But for my relationship's sake I hope I get some movement soon on my petition. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I believe I have the worst luck than anybody	I hired a lawyer back in October 2012 to file my paperwork for k1 visa just to make sure everything was done correctly and minimze any chances of getting an RFE,I recieved my NOA1 on October 2012, but guess what??? After nearly 8 months if waiting I checked the uscis website and I had an RFE!!!(6/18/13), Up until today I have yet to see the letter!! I called the people at uscis but they are never of any help, they said if I havent received the letter after 14 days to call back!! Has anybody experienced such delay??? And to make matters worse my lawyer wont return my calls! I'm sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, I had my RFE for K1 at 9 months and approval at 10 months.  Hang in there all will be well. I don't know about a text or an email but I sure know it will reflect on the USCIS case status webpage and we will receive a mail for the necessary evidence that we need to provide for the support. Can you please provide more clarity on 1) Notary thing you did was on US stamp/Indian stamp paper? 2) Number of witness 3)I have all the things that you have mentioned...Did they ask you why there are no pics. Actually mine is arrange marriage so you know girl side will never allow for pics at your first meeting....Though we met 3 different days. But still we cannot take pics rite (you know Indian things). Will they understand this thing. 4) Apart fro this I have pics of bth family members interacting in a social function which needs to be done once both families agreee for marriage (1 Rs coin is exchanged in that)....Will this help? Will be a great help if you can eloborate Pls Hiren, PM me (email address edited out for security concerns) and I will more than gladly provide you all the documents and lead to the right path. I had the same thing, but mine was more open minded to let me spend time with Dhruvi and all. So message me there and I will give you all the details you need. In the mean time here are the answers: 1.) Get Indian stamp paper Rs. 20 or higher in English stating that you have met your fiancee in person and that the witnesses present during your meeting can sign it. I would suggest members from her family and yours. 2.) I had Dhruvi's two brothers who were witness do that and my aunt who lives here in the U.S. was there at the moment and present so I did her statement here. I can provide you a copy of what it looks like. But at least a two would be great. 3.) You will need pictures I know in arrange marriage situations its highly unlikely if its an orthodox family, but I went to India for 45 days to spend time with Dhruvi and have a formal Indian style engagement with 200 plus people with lots of pictures so that helps too. 4.) Family pictures are useless, its about you two so you and her have to be in pictures together and next to one another. So you need to do something about that, if not down than down the line when your interview or an RFE comes in for more evidence. Thanks. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	No Pictures	Hey Hiren, if you don't submit pictures now, you will more than likely have RFE (Request for Evidence) when your file goes to an adjudicator for approval. I also did not have pictures when I sent my packet, but I had done a stamp paper signed by a notary showing evidence by witnesses present that we met in person plus your entry and departure stamps plus your tickets and your emails and phone logs and all would be great. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Port Of Entry questions for K1 visa	As far as I know, they do not ask any questions, they just request to see your medical file, and issue you I-94 and tell you that you have 90 days to get married and file your AOS and so on and so on and if you fail to get married within allotted time you will have to go back to your home country. I recently went to India for a huge engagment ceremony where my fiancee and I exchange rings in front of her family and my family and family friends and all. It was about 200 people present. Now our weddings are different from Christian wedding, and I wanted my fiancee to take some of our engagement pictures to the interview for further confirmation and our engagement album. Now would this also cause and issue when she goes for an Interview. I know this would be specific to the Indians in the forum who have gone through this or anyone with any insight. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Mumbai Consulate, Interview --> Visa time?	This all depends on if you want your passport to be shipped or picked up.  Pick-up is only in Mumbai, so if you are local that is great, but if you live outside of Mumbai, your best bet is to have it shipped.  US Embassy uses Blue Dart to ship your passport once the visa is issues and it takes about a week.  For pick-up its three days.  So its pretty much your choice and you have to let them know online by registering at US Travel Docs.  Hope this helps. My status changed from Administrative processing to Ready(appointment info) after 1.5 months. What does it mean? DOS says that it still under administrative processing. If so then y status has been updated?   Hey I received the same answer from the DOS.  I went to the Embassy in Islamabad and they said the Ready for interview is a wrong statement and it should be AP.  I have been hearing that there is a quota that has been reached and the new quota year starts in October.  Some people have been saying that they are doing more background check on both parties.  God knows which one is true but I have been in the similar situation. So my wife had her spouse visa interview on the 12th of Aug, 2012.  Her status changed from AP to READY on the 27th of August.  Since then the Status update date gets updated everyday and it still says Ready for interview.  I personally went to the US Embassy in Islamabad but after 2 and a half hours of baking in the sun, i wasn't allowed to even enter the embassy and ask for information about her case, and yes I am a US citizen.  My senator's office has also contacted the Embassy and the response they got was that the process is in its final stages but no reason what is the delay.  Just wondering what are my options from here onwards. Does it say Ready case open or Ready the interview???   well yesterday my status went AP to Ready and today morning status changed Ready To AP and @ 3 oclock i got a call from US embassy visa section they want back my mother sponsor ship affidavit of support which is Co gave me back by mistake at the time of interview and my AP for 26 days and In Sha Allah tomorrow i will send that document to visa section so i hope In Sha Allah on friday i will get Issued   now again status showing Ready because of that document i hope In Sha Allah u will get ur visa like me soon thanks A-Ameer ... they never asked us for any documents so idk ...
