IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Filipina previously married in Phil. and remaried in Canada with US citizen man with out undergo the annulment in Phil. anyone can advice ?	Hi to all, I had a friend  living and working in Canada just 2 years for now, she been married in Philippines with a filipino guy and the previous married not annulled yet, but she got the divorced in Canada with her previously married and few months ago she remarried a US citizen guy , she's trying to apply a tourist visa from Canada to US but she failed and and got denied. Now her US husband trying to file a spouse visa for her so she can come and live with him in the US and she wants to get her 2 daughters with her along those petition. My question is , the divorced in Canada is legal to remarry another guy  even she's not annulled in the Philippines?  How can she get her daughter to bring in the US with her New husband? there's any big issue of this problem? those previously married is already void with out filing the paper work in the court back to the Philippines? is that ok to continue filing the spouse visa to come in the US ? Do you think guys she's can grant a visa to join her new husband with out any hassle to fix her previous married in the Philippines? any idea about this? any advice please! would very much appreciated ,. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Future spouse will be moving out of her current country. Where do I file?	According to the guide, the joint sponsor must be residing in the US. I assume I would have to wait for the packet of forms received after NOA2 and to fill those out before my Co-sponser and I could go to the Philippines as the Co-sponser has to reside in the US to qualify. Is this correct? From what I am reading about the definition of domiciled, my co-sponsor can be outside of the US if he shows strong ties to his house and a reason to return. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Future spouse will be moving out of her current country. Where do I file?	Hello, I'm new to the forum but have been reading the different threads. I will be marrying my Filipina finance in Bahrain this February. She is currently working in Bahrain, but she will be leaving in July to go back home to the Filippines. I'll be using a financial co-sponser ( my Dad) as I am currently a full time student taking classes on line. I do own a home and do have money in the bank. My Dad and I may be moving to the Philippines in July for 6-7 months while we wait for her visa to come through. I was thinking about renting the house out while I am away. Should I file in the US for her IR-1/CR-1, or should I file when I am in the Philippines? Will there be a problem with filing in March before she moves back to the Philippines? What am I missing? Did you get confirmation when you changed your address with USCIS.    Thank you for your reply.   Yes, I did get a confirmation through the ELIS system. Also, we have put in for a forward notion on all mail delivered to our previous address.   I guess I will call with USCIS tomorrow... Hi, when it comes to ssn you have to apply to local office in the city you live in, originally it takes 1-2 weeks, it never deliveries along with green card   Thank you, I did not know that (silly me I guess, ha).   To follow up with another question: Do I need my Green Card to apply for the Social Security Number over here? IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Where is my Green Card?	I have a question for all those who have already been approved their CR-1 Spouse Visa:   My entire case has been approved on July 17, I payed the fees for my Green Card on July 26, I entered the US on July 27, I moved within the US on August 14 and I changed my address August 28. I still have not received my Green Card or Social Security Card and as a result can not do anything there (get my Driver's License, open a Bank Account, get a Credit Card, or start a company).   What do I do? Customer information is within the system and we can access what we need through the secured site but not print it, save it to an external drive or share it. I personally have two monitors at home .. one to view source docs and one to write contracts. I would guess it's this way for most larger organizations these days. I was working yesterday myself. And OMG I'm FINALLY in charge here!!!! But I will say you have to be eternally optimistic to be willing to risk love overseas, especially in a country that has a signficantly weaker economy, we're also going to hear horror stories of people used for green cards and other nightmares, you have to have serious faith and/or optimism to endure the process on it's own, let alone with the helpful concerned friends and family and complete strangers who know your business better than you... I want to "third" that post...we were not looking outisde a 50 mile radius...somehow our online worlds collided and pen pals turned into ... Visa Journey!! I have a tendancy to quit projects when a snafu presents itself so I'm forcing myself to move forward with this............no matter how long it takes.
