Ryan and I arrived at 4:30am for our 8am flight.. opps too early ha , coz we have tons of baggage.. so we want to be early than catching up the time (Ready ur itinerary/ticket & passport, the guard at the departure gate will check it) Passed through x-ray check... 2. Fall in a long line at NWA flight #020.. security of NWA gave us departure embarkation and stickers for our luggage. She checked for our passport & my visa. We finished almost 5:40 3. We checked in 3 huge bags wahh just about the limit weight of baggage...and 2 carry on.. 1 for me & 1 for Ryan... (Liquids are allowed, just put in a zip bag.. I brought face creams, gels, toner, lotion, etc ... but don't put this stuff in carry on,, I did put mine in che cked in bag, so it was not a hassle in the connecting flight check counters. 4. Wahhh the lady at check in counter in NWA told me to pay travel tax (P1,620 for economy, 2000 something I can't remember for first/business class) in Travel tax counter, it's near in the gate when u enter, it is easy to find though... and return after to get our boarding pass.. (I'm kinda shocked of this coz we thought it is paid of when we bought our ticket in NWA. Ryan was not ask to pay though, only me.. OH well, i will not return for long, so it's fine.. (just bring extra money just in case, u can change it to $ later inside the departure area) 5. Back to the counter and got our boarding pass 6. We proceed to Departure tax counter... (P750) she stamped our boarding pass 7. Immigration Line, (wahhh I'm glad it's not crazy long like arrival (The officer asked me who is my petitioner.. hmmm i just point Ryan who was infront of me, he just finished--She smiled and said... mgksama kau? 8. Passed the Xray counter, separate for girls & guys (removed shoes, metal belt, removed ur laptop from the bag, liquid stuff) 9. We proceed to the assigned gate... (it's already 6:15am) 10. Boarded the plane at 7:05 ( wahhh the plane did not leave until 9:00.. instead of our 8am flight.. delayed for some electrical problem.. (we are sweating, it's hot inside the plane ... 11. FINally left to Toyko ... at arrival pass to check in again... (removed shoes, laptop again) 12. Went to assigned gate, it is easy to find the connecting flight, just follow the signs,, it's in English, so don't worry 13. Our gate was open already coz we are delayed, so we boarded right away.. (TO MINNEAPOLIS) 14. Arrived in St. Paul Minneapolis 1 hour early:) thnxxxxx GOD coz we have only 1 hour and 30 mins layover, so it's 2 hours and 30 mins now 15. I fall in line in new immigrant counter...and RYan in US residents line.. (dont fall in line in visitors, it's long) 16. Ryan finished already while i'm still waiting coz the guy fr P.I too ahead of me was interviewed long.. 17. MY turn.. gave my passport, Form 1-94 given by the crew in NWA before landing in MInneapolis. (Fill it out in all capital letters) I gave my yellow orange envelope. While checking it, He asked me this questions: -- Where are you going? -- When did you first met? -- What is his job? -- What do you want to work? -- Do you have food in your luggage? I answered no.. He said, ARE u sure? (i have only 2 pack of lucky me pancit canton) I forgot about it -- How old are you? -- When do u plan to get married? -- How old are you? and look at me.. (wahh again?... oh well maybe he think that I gave him wrong age ... -- When is ur birthday? -- How far are u in Charlotte, NC? You can file ur AOS, EAD etc He asked me to put my left index finger in the finger scanning, the the right... and posed for the camera. they have webcam in the window -- He then said, get married in 90 days... Welcome to USA.. That's it.. it's easy.. so don't worry .. just relax 18. Ryan collected our luggage already.. (Don't forget ur luggage in Point of Entry) Passed though custom and give our custom form, since we don't have something to declare,it's easy. Proceed to check in counter ..NWA staff put our bags in there...running floor ahahah i dont know what's the name of it.. 20. Passed trough xray counter againnnnnnnnn... (removed laptop, shoes) 21. PRoceed to our boarding gate.. since our plane arrived 1 hour early. We had enough time.. 22. ARRived at Raleigh on time no more immigration stuff 23. Collected our bag, Ryan's parents picked us.. 24. THEy hug me and said.. Welcome to USA 25.. DRive to CAry... just near ... maybe 10 minutes fr the airport Going Cary is very pretty place,, it has lots of trees in both sides of the highway.. ARrived and ate dinner.. while talking and gave my present for my future in law.. Philippines	successful interview last April 24	QUOTE (july052007 @ Apr 25 2008, 09:00 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> my appointment was 7am... i arrived around 6am... i saw a long line infront of USEM but dont go where the crowd's at... ask the guard infront coz the K3 K1 lines are way shorter than the others... show ur appointment letter when u get there and a Valid ID... then they will tell you where to fall in line under the tent.. then one by one you'll get to the entrance where u need to have ur things xrayed... and after that you just follow the arrow going to the immigrant visa unit.. the guards will show you where to sit.. then per row they will tell you when to get your number ( when u get ur number, prepare your forms with you make sure signed and all the photos are attached, and all the details are answered, plus the appointment letter)... then just wait for the number to flash on the screens.. there are a lot of screens there so u wont missed it! at first my number flashed for window 22 and it was pre screening... others got to get finger scanned first before pre screened.. the numbers dont flash consecutively so make sure u pay attention to the screens... after the pre screening, the guy (he's gay and very very accomodating, friendly and had a little chit chat with me... so it was like talking to a friend telling him how did my love story started and a few other details, the packet my hubby sent was sooo thick that he didnt asked for more proofs except for the Affidavit of support and the documents needed for that - such as w2 1040 tax transcripts pay stubs and certificate of employment from petitioner..), i asked him to take some of the photos i have prepared, so he considered taking them.... after that he told me to wait for my name to be called probably for finger scanning at window 16... so it was called... after that... went back to sit with the new friends ive met there... and the long wait began!! the wait for the consul is soooooooooooo freaking looooooooooong!! more than 3 hours of waiting... i got there 6am, i finished almost 12noon... but the interview is sooooooo short... it was an american gurl around mid to late 20's, was nice.... and smiles whenever i answer a question she asks... questions are the following: 1. made me swear first that everything written in the docs are true... 2. who is my petitioner... 3. how did we met... 4. when did we first met... 5. how many times did he visit... 6. what does he do.. 7. mode of communication... 8. what do we talk about everyday... 9. do we ever have fights... 10. how do we resolve our fights... 11. what are our similarities.. 12. how long have he been working with the company... 13. is it my first marriage... 14. is it his first marriage.. and reason for divorce.. 15. any kids??? 16. what did i do in qatar... how long did i work there... 17. is it scary in Qatar???? thats it... and she told me that i am approved.. and just wait for the visa to be delivered... i asked her when can the visa be delivered since my hubby is excited to buy the tickets... and she said she cant really tell.. she said just wait for the visa before buying tickets... then after that step... waited outside for my name to be called from window 37.. the releasing of documents... its the same gay guy who pre screened me so i was comfy talking to him and had our chit chats again... asked him the same question bout the visa... he said it depends on the finger printing... sometimes around 2 weeks time, sometimes less than a week... so he said the same thing,... to wait for the visa to be delivered.... after that he told me to go to delbros and pay for the delivery... thats it!!!! make sure you bring FOOD snacks u can munch inside coz the waiting is tooooooo loooooooooooooong!!! and for sure u will get hungry... so have something to munch on... the process is very easy... dont worry you will do fine... God Bless and congrats!!!!! hardly they deny visa's unless you really dont have supporting docs and even if you dont have enough docs, they will ask for it and ask you to come back for the needed docs... but so far, everyone ive seen are granted!! so CONGRATS in advance!!!! Philippines	MONDAY MAY 12 - my interview	Hi Everyone!! My Fiancee, Maria Niña also has her Interview this Monday May 12 at 7:30 AM! She will fly Sunday AM from Tagbilaran City with our Daughter and her Mom! Maria has had a very hectic schedule the last couple of weeks! She had her Family reunion last weekend. It is held once every 4 years. And now her landlord is remodeling the building and she is forced to move today and Saturday. She is nervous and excited about her Interview and worried if she will do ok. I have tried my best to reassure her that all will be fine. I also want to say thank you for my fellow vjers Gie, Maria Nina, Ana who have the same interview date with me. We agreed to wait each other infront at the embassy at around 5am. The guard start to call the 7:30am appointment and the four of us went to the waiting line, show the appointment letter at the guard in-charge. At around 6:30am we were inside the US embassy, wait for our time to get in line and get the assign number. After having the number we wait for our names to be called for the finger scanner. I was called at the pre-screener window at around 9:40am and interview with the consul at 10:30am. The interview with the consul went smooth. The lady consul was so nice to me and she smiled when she cannot pronounce the last name of my fiance. The interview lasted only for about 7 minutes. She said i can wait outside for my papers to be called for the visa delivery. We were out at around 11:30am, and the four of us went to lunch together with Maria Nina mother and baby, Gie, Ana, me and my aunt Lalaine. To all my fellow vjers, thank you so much for all your support and prayers. Also a special thanks to dbears. Congratulations!! Maria said she met with you for lunch after the Interviews. Philippines	My Interview Experience	Congatulations!!!! My Fiancee Maria and our Daughter Roberta also had their Interview at 7:30 Monday morning!! She too got approved and got the pink slip when paying for the delbros fees. We are so happy!! God has answered all of our prayers! We wish you the very best!
