IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Return to the US sooner than planned	My family and I are currently living in Denmark. My husband is the immigrant, I am the US citizen. Our initial plan was the IR-1 route, entering the States next June. We received the NOA1 on October 24, 2012. I have now found out that I will have to return to the States in March 2013 and that creates confusion and sorrows. We know that it takes up to 6 months to get things to the next level, but that will not work with our new timeframe. Is there any other way that would allow my husband to enter the country with me and the kids in spring? Thanks for any ideas / advice! I´m no expert, but I think you should be not too far off from a March entry date. Maybe you would be apart for about 3 months, but that is definitely doable in the grand scheme of things. Im hoping Im not jinxing things, but if you were very fast with your paperwork. I am actually thinking maybe we did it a little too early as our NOA 1 date is October 29th and we would like to move in August or September of 2013. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	I-864 questions	Gosh - this is all so confusing. I thought I filled out the I-864 and my dad filled out the I-864a even though I live in Colombia and he lives in the US. This makes more sense I guess for us each to fill out our own I-864. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Petitioner Living Abroad w/Spouse - Advice Needed	I cannot say for sure because I am still waiting for my NOA 2, however I am a US citizen residing abroad and I don´t plan on moving back to the US until my husband has his VISA and we go together. I have been living in Colombia for four years, but I have US bank accounts, credit cards, pension accounts, receive mail at my parents address, and valid drivers license. I have also voted in 2008 and 2012 major elections. We plan on moving in order for me to get a job teaching for the next school year and my husband to start grad school. We of course don´t have that information yet, but hopefully closer to the interview, we will have more specific information. If we don't get asked for it I have it ready for the NVC and one less thing for him to worry for Yes me too! But my hubby is a little slow so I am insisting before we go on vacation for a month. True - before we were farther along in the process, my husband showed proof of his job contract and my job contract (since I live in Colombia). I guess at this point he would bring the NOA2 to show that we are going through the process of doing this legally and dont have any reason for him to overstay now. It would be good to hear from someone that has actually gotten a tourist visa during this process as it may or may not be harder. They are giving a lot more tourist visas in Colombia lately - so if you dont mind possibly losing the application fee, I would try for it. When traveling, bring proof of intent to return to Colombia. I have been searching this question in the boards and have found some answers, but I just wanted to ask again to have the most updated answer. My father is the Joint Sponsor and is filling out the I-864. He and my mother file taxes jointly, but we only need his income for the sponsorship. Lines 23 and 24 - he should put only his individual annual income?? Line 25: the total income from his tax returns should be only his income or his and my mothers incomes as shown on the Tax Return?? I was under the impression that documents need not be apostilled since the Department of State website says: "All applicants over the age of 18 must provide a police certificate, called a "pasado judicial." Applicants may obtain police certificates online at www.policia.gov.co. Luckily I had already received my NOA1 at my foreign address at that point (it took a month) so I didnt make any changes. I told them well actually they do accept foreign addresses and then they said well i guess you have to be transferred up to the next level to be able to change a foreign address (I had been calling because we were moving to a different foreign address). Someone needs to get these people informed because I can totally see how that would have freaked me out and I might have changed it. Well let's consider this I-130 take one and a warning to those others new to this journey so they avoid the same mistake: 1. Country USC resides in: Denmark 2. Is there a USCIS field office in this country / Is DCF still possible? No 3. When did you file the I-130: Nov 2012 4. How long had you been living abroad: Less than a year 5. Do you reside in the country legally? Yes, sorta 6. What is the reason for your residence: EU rights 7. Did you list your foreign address on all forms in I-130 package? Yes* 8. Did you send I-130 package from abroad? Yes 9. Did you include evidence of your residence abroad in the I-130 package? Yes 10. Did you mention the fact you reside abroad in the cover letter or write a letter describing your current situation and the evolution of your relationship with your spouse (mentioning your residence abroad)? Yes 11. Has your case been "auto-expedited"? How long between NOA1 and NOA2? No, at 105 days, it seems that my I-130 disappeared into the void and we'll be refiling *Do not change the USC's address to America during the process no matter what anyone says to you. As a consequence, we were not auto-expedited at NBC and instead sent to a field office that rejected our petition because I was living abroad. Nos levantamos a eso de las 5am nos alistamos y nos pusimos bien bonitos para la ocasión jajaj llegaron por nosotros como a las 6.15 bueno rumbo a la embajada muy tranquilitos con la bendición de DIOS y con toda la fe del mundo. Listo llegamos jaaa y la fila para turistas y no sé qué otras cosas, era súper larga caminamos y caminamos hasta que llegamos a la N° 3 fuimos los primeros en llegar y la muchacha salió y nos pidió la hoja de confirmación de la cita, pasaporte y pidió que le mostrara las fotos. Y se nos arrimó un señor y le pregunta como enojado, “ para que es esa fila” y la niña le respondió es para otro TRAMITE juajau claro quién sabe desde que hora estaba el haciendo fila y a nosotros de una nos atendieron… Nos pusieron un sticker color verde que decía K… luego nos hicieron seguir, me entregaron una hoja con el orden de los papeles y me dijeron que pasara a la casilla N°4, faltaban como 15 minutos para las 7. Ya todo lo teníamos bien ordenado Gracias a mi jenni, entonces no habíamos desayunado y fuimos al famosísimo CAFÉ LA IGUANA JAJAJA me pedí un dedo de queso y un milo, mi novio se pidió un pastel de pollo y una coca cola Así o más detalles?? a eso de las 7 abrieron la ventanilla, paso primero una niña que iba como para visa de studiante, no sé por qué la pasaron ahí, Buenoooo llego nuestro turno era una señora muy forma, me dijo que le dijera a mi novio que me esperara al lado del café jamm, le entregue todo, me pido el ds230 me dijo que todo estaba bien y que esperara el llamado … Mi novio me hizo el tiempo de espera muy amena nos pusimos a hablar y a reírnos de cuanta cosa se nos ocurría. A las 8.15 llamaron a la primera pareja era una muchacha con su novio, como medio chino y ella se demoró poco cuando paso por mi lado con la super sonrisa le pregunte que como le había ido y me dijo bien pulgares arriba ? llamaron a otra pareja y tambn super rápido cuando… por altavoz escuchamos mi nombre con un acento super gringo… Ok pasamos a la casilla N°3, mi novio se hizo a mi lado solo se saludaron de sonrisa jaja. Tome el teléfono .Era un señor super amable y novio dice que cuando lo vio le dio mucha tranquilidad, me pido que pusiera las huellas de mi mano derecha y la izquierda wow cuando termine con lo de mis huellas tome el teléfono y se supone que inicia la entrevista -Como se conocieron -Que hace el -El habla español y tu ingles -Cuando fue la primera vez que el vino -Donde vive el Ok listo su visa fue APROBADA, Bienvenida…… y yoo como que enserio tan rápido y me dice el si esto fue todo wow yo lo mire y le dije que DIOS lo bendiga muchas gracias, creo que repeti como dos o tres veces lo mismo wow, abrace a mi novio nos dimos un beso y le dije Bby por fin que emoción solo Dios sabe como nos sentimos en ese momento, estábamos abrazados cuando el cónsul me entrego una hojita como con el paso a seguir y me dijo cuídensen mucho y dile a tu novio que me da mucho tranquilidad que el este contigo acompañándote y nos hizo pulgares arriba jajaja… niñas yo creo que fueron solo como dos minutos, salimos mas felices, solo faltaban 7 minutos para las 9 fue un momento hermoso, que felicidad de verdad que es algo único tanto tiempo esperando por esa entrevista… Gracias a todas por estar tan pendiente, por esos lindos comentarios y por tenernos en sus oraciones… Ahh les cuento mi novio viajo anoche y no hemos comprado mi pasaje solo estamos a la espera de mi visa pero el punto es llegar antes de navidad si DIOS no lo permite. Cualquier novedad se las estaré contando. Un abrazo… Solo me queda por decir, EL TIEMPO DE DIOS ES HERMOSO SOLO EL SABE, EL COMO, CUANDO, Y EL POR QUE DE LO QUE SUCEDE !!!!! DIOS las continúe bendiciendo a tod@s Jhoa que felicidad ver tanta emocion junta, que hermoso relato ya que en cada palabra se refleja la felicidad enorme que causa todas estas expereiencias. Dios estableció los tiempos y las edades para los hombres, esto es, los años, los meses, las semanas y los días y determino junto con ellos una porción de milagros para cada día en particular, y cada uno de estos milagros son sorpresas maravillosas para sus hijos. Cada uno de nosotros tiene asignado por el Señor esos tiempos y edades que son una escalera que nos lleva cada día un paso más a la perfección y al propósito eterno de Dios. En esta escalera de las edades celestiales existe un milagro por cada escalón y cada día que pasa podemos subir un escalón más y recibir esas sorpresas de Dios. Estos regalos de Dios se manifestarán según su plan y según nuestra necesidad. Leí en cierta oportunidad que el diablo planifica tu día para detenerte y destruirte y es verdad, pero si el diablo hace esto ¿Cuánto más nuestro Padre celestial no tendrá algo planificado para nosotros en este día? No te quedes en el escalón de hoy, ni vuelvas a bajarte de los escalones que ya subiste en tu crecimiento, porque atrás ya no hay bendiciones. Levántate y reclama la bendición para hoy, esa bendición se manifiesta según tu necesidad y según el plan que el Señor estableció para tu vida, Dios tiene todo planificado para sus hijos, pero sus hijos muchas veces no tienen esto en cuenta y se pierden de la bendición cotidiana. Las bendiciones y sorpresas de Dios son muy variadas, quizás es algo que no esperas, que no sabes, que no conoces. ¿Te paso de tener días de agotamiento, de tristeza, de dolor, de peleas y luchas?, pues ya sabes que no importa lo que te venga en esta día, simplemente reclama tu provisión de hoy en oración, el pan nuestro de cada día. Ese pan de Dios suplirá algo que necesitas, algo que Dios te quiere dar hoy, solo dile al Señor: “Padre hoy recibo esa bendición que tienes para mi, suple mis necesidades, sana mis dolencias, dame el milagro que tienes para hoy”. Solo debes ejecutar por la fe y la oración el milagro que Dios tiene hoy para ti, no te lo pierdas, avanza un paso mas, sube el escalón que tienes para hoy. Cada día tenemos que esperar cosas milagrosas de Dios, creerlas y confesarlas, pedírselas a nuestro Padre bueno. Mexico, Latin & South America	COLOMBIANOS AJUSTE STATUS K1 P. 2	Un cordial saludo para todas y todos. Les cuento que ayer (19 de agosto) recibí por correo la Green Card, nos dio mucha felicidad !!! Hoy renové el Social Security ( lo saque con mi apellido de casada), mañana voy a renovar mi ID ya que me lo habían dado condicional con la I94 o sea que lo tenía vencido. Diana tengo unas pregunticas:1.que hago con la licencia de trabajo que tenía y se me vence el 27 de diciembre de 2013...la dejo vencer? Ya es suficiente la Green Card y el Social Security renovado?. 2. Viajo a Colombia el próximo martes, al regresar a Estados Unidos, sólo debo mostrar la Green Card?.y 3. Voy a llevar unos regalitos a mi familia, como perfumes y tenis, hasta cuantos pares puedo llevar y cuantas unidades? Me da susto que en Migración Colombia me pongan problemas con los regalitos, gracias por la información . hola MARFE queria saber si te hicieron entrevista para tu green card???? y cuanto tiempo se demoró todo el proceso desde que metiste tu solicitud....ya yo llevo esperando 7 meses entró a la pagina del uscis a ver mi caso y aun la bolita no cambia.
