Now I want crazy pictures for my profile! I must find one!

We're still waiting for them to actually acknowledge that the RFE was sent back to them. For some reason mail gets stuck in the void for 2 weeks from or to North Dakota. *sigh*

I think having the cases transferred is an awesome sign! Maybe they saw how far VSC was behind and are making similar cases that are touched/approved a priority! I would say 'WOOOOOOOT!' :) I am still praying hard for you guys! I couldn't imagine the calls of frustration VSC has gotten because CSC had finally caught up! LOL!

...going to find stupid profile picture...

I don't know if australia is the same but generally after the noa2 they forward ur case to the National Visa Centre who then send it to the american embassy in australia. U then schedule ur medical. If you head over to the australian forum theyll be loads of advice! (Every time I write australia I cant help but do the accent in my head!)

I will have to go over there and see what they say :) Thanks!

I'm a little immune to the accent I guess. I never notice it as I grew up with Australian friends as a kid. I know when other people do though. They just sit and grin and never answer him back! Hahaha!

The RFE info is all ready to mail off in the morning!!! Does anyone know what's next? I know the NAO2 but what comes after? I get the worst anxiety thinking about if I'll be prepared to get out what they need ASAP so the waiting is less. Is there a way to prepare before we get anything back?

I use my fancy 'scroll' button if I don't want to see something! Haha! I can't say I haven't read it but I have waited patiently and without complaint. It came to be that the RFE arrived and I'm taking it one day at a time and will continue to do so. I will be the first to admit that I don't understand all the numbers so I don't choose to pay much attention to it. I appreciate anyone who's helped get the ball rolling but I also don't think it was one person or group who accomplished that. I wish I had taken part in kicking USCIS into gear but I don't think I did. I wouldn't know how and wasn't expecting to have things move ahead so early with everything going on. So now I am glad for how far we've come in our journey and my heart weeps for those still waiting. I have been with my fiance for 5 years and I know the pain of waiting all too well. My heart goes out to you and I will always remember to keep those waiting in the future in my thoughts and prayers. With my fiance finally home I will always be reminded of the people I have met, the work it took to get where I will be and the people who have the same journey in their lives ahead. I really appreciate everyone here and I am and forever will be greatful for this site and those who have helped me cope with the long process of being united with the man I love so very much. Thank you guys! <3's! I hope I can help future couples one day!

Got my hard copy RFE today! They were unclear in the original I-129F about meetings so I explained each meeting for the previous 2 years. They wanted an explaination of how we met in the first place and how we bagan the relationship. Easy-Peasy!

The next thing they needed was more on proof of meeting. We supplied pictures, itineraries and flight receipts the first time. We are adding a complete log of copies of his passport stamps, credit card statements with highlighting of dates/places his card was used where I live and ATM withdrawl receipts sent from his bank. I think we'll have all we need now and I'm glad we have more to give them! I panic-posted for help tongue.png You guys are AWESOME! Glad to have this site for sure!

EDIT: Just in case anyone is panicked over an RFE like we were :)

Getting any news has so many mixed emotions for me. I have a hard time being excited when I know so many are waiting their turn. I also can't stop the insane happy dance in me that's been carrying on since I recieved that text. My heart is swelling and breaking all at once! I say my prayers for you guys each day.

I got my RFE e-mail/text on Saturday the 11th but today they changed the date to the 14th and sent it to me twice 15 minutes apart. I am wondering if the cases get looked over more than once? Sunday and Monday my status said they had no information updates for me. It was a little strange and I'm hoping I don't get 3 different things to fill out! Lol! I was certain I had gone over the papers really well. I feel a bit jerk-ish to say but I am anxious to see what it is that I forgot. I HATE WAITING! At least with movement there is hope for everyone!

Maybe CSC will hold the bar higher for VSC and they will get their booties in gear!

Oh no! I didn't realise that VSC was further behind! I will pray you guys get them soon! :( Ugh. My heart aches for you guys who have to wait still.

Honestly we haven't called on ours once. I think they just humor some people because they can't really put anyone above anyone else for just calling a whole lot. I think they're just trying to get caught up so they have actually started doing them a bit earlier in some cases. We are at 5.5 months which is their goal and at this rate they will be down to 4 or less months. Let's pray they keep up the momentum! At this point, anyone in January will be touched or recieve a NOA2 by the end of the month :)

I've attended church with our Congressman for over 5 years now and he informed me that inquiring through them has no swing on their decision. With a NOA1 of the 17th, I would think you'd be in the next week or so! I'll be watching to see who's next! I'm so excited for everyone and myself!!!! WOOOOT!

Hello January filers! We got our NAO1 on the 3rd of Jan and sent of the day before Christmas :) I'm getting impatient and needed something else to read besides timelines! LOL! We were at CSC but got a notice that our address changed on Jan 30th so I'm not sure if we were transferred. I will be calling Wed when I have the day off to see if that was it. I hope this is over soon!

Good luck, friends! I'm seeing hope just around the corner.

Also, why are some later than us from the same country getting NAO2s and some earlier not? Is the process completely random? I hope not! >.<

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionAdministrative Processing - I-134 Documents

Hello all,

So we are near the end of our journey (I hope), but ran in to a bit of a snag. I had my interview on the 20th of August as the Sydney U.S Embassy. The interview was for my K-1 visa and it went seemingly well. I had all of my documents in order except for an original signed I-134, and had to take a digitally signed copy in it's place. I explained this to the officer during my interview, and at the conclusion of the interview I was advised the only thing preventing an on-the-spot approval was the lack of original I-134, and that once we sent it to them, my passport + visa would be mailed back to me within 5 - 6 days of it being recieved and put on my file.

They recieved the I-134 on the 2nd of September (we had huge problems with the mail), and I recieved an email  on the 6th of September confirming that the I-134 was recieved, but they needed further documentation, which I sent them back within an hour of being requested.

They asked for: A copy of my fiancees 2012 tax return, any other evidence of assetts (we listed cash assetts and  supplied bank statements during the interview), and proof of any payments my fiancee recieves from her ex-husband (we sent back a child support payment schedule showing frequence and amounts of payments). None of this was requested or mentioned as being an issue during my interview .

So anyway, we are currently under administrative processing and I have not heard anything back about whether the documents we provided were sufficient or if they required more. I did email them 2 days ago to ask for any confirmation on this. In the past I have usually recieved responses to emails within 48 hours, even if it is a form response stating something that doesn't help much. It's hard to not be anxious with the unexpected hold-up with the paperwork after being told things were fine during the interview.

Has anyone else had issues or long delays with further processing on I-134 supporting documentation? Normally, how long does this sort of thing generally take?

Thanks

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-134 Affidavit of Support

The form they already signed and are using is fine. Previous editions of the I-134 are accepted. I do not know if Sydney has ever allowed self-sponsoring like London. I have seen it asked a few times, but I never saw there was an answer either, just like you. I do not think it could hurt anything for you bring your documentation with you. You could try asking in the Australia regional forum. If she makes enough for the household size and it shows on the company info document she can print out, then that should be fine without the need of bank statements. I have heard it is not a requirement for Sydney, but if it helps show her stable income, she could also include a copy of her 2012 tax return or free tax return transcript from the IRS. Oh, and if she has online banking access, she might be able to print bank statements from home.

Thanks, that takes a load off of my mind. Well the information she provided shows that she just meets the poverty level (working part time because of the kids as daycare is expensive and about half hour away from the house, but she will be going full time once I arrive), and she has only been working there since April this year, so although the pay-periods have been consistent in amounts, there is nothing long term that will be reflected in her tax return.

There is a chance she might not have the records easily accessible due to her filing setup.

ANd yes, make sure your signature on the i-134 is current!

Just to clarify, the I-134 is being sent to me, I am the K-1 applicant so I am providing my fiancees proof of support with a I-134 signed by her. The form I attached above was sent to me by the consulate, and I forwarded it to my fiancee.

However, I do have a large amount in savings, so I am hoping that if it comes down to it, they will consider what I have to show in terms of me supporting the family also. Apparently the idea of it is more rare than I would've thought.

elgartaMaleAustralia2013-08-17 18:35:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-134 Affidavit of Support

:) Thanks guys. At this stage I doubt I will be able to use another I-134 form since even if it was express posted to me, I wouldn't recieve it before I fly down to sydney for the interview. I will try to see if my partner has pay-stubs to accompany the work report, but her work report does actually include her pay periods, gross pay and hourly rate for them all. My fiancee will not have any more opportunities to go to the bank prior to my interview, due to her work hours pretty much being when the bank is open, having to take the kids across town for daycare (eating up any free time before/after work), and her works strict policy around being late or needing to take an hour off to attend any urgent business. The benefits of a free-to-hire State I suppose :)

But the other thing I was wondering, was about self-sponsering (as a worst-case thing). I was reading up on the idea, and I know the London Consulate Office allows it, and I know some previous filers who went through the Sydney embassy mentioned it or asked here, but nothing more was ever said. In fact, on travel.state.gov it does say that you can provide proof that you can support yourself financially, but outside of the London embassy site there is little to no information about this, or what it entails.

If I have enough money in a bank account, and can provide proof that I have enough available cash to exceed the poverty level for a family of 3, and even enough to show that I could support myself, my fiancee and her children for at least 3-4 years based on those amounts alone. Is it worth taking that information along just incase we run into problems? I can bring bank statements for the last 12 months and a tax notification for my 2013 tax return (And more if I need them).

Sorry for the double post, the post editor locked me out.

So I went to uscis.gov to see the most up to date form available, and it states the following:

Edition Date :

12/17/12. Previous editions accepted.

This would imply that a previously expired form would be accepted, correct?

If this is form u have filled the one u have attached, so iam sorry to say, its expired, see the date on rite side of corner on first page......Godd luck with ur interview.

That was what was sent to me directly from the Sydney Embassy when they sent me my interview checklist. They attached that, the checklist and instructions for the I-134. Ugh, why would they email a document that is expired and no longer valid?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-134 Affidavit of Support

Hi all,

So my interview date is right around the corner, 20th of August. Getting really excited for it, but me being me, I am now in my 'obsess over all paperwork and nit-pick" mode unti the big day. Sigh.

So, I was looking over the I-134 instructions again and read the requirements for supporting documents. I want to confirm a few things:

1. The supporting documents mentioned should be a statement from a bank officer confirming my fiancees bank balance, total $ amount of deposits for the last 12 months and date of account opening, or a statement from employer confirming date and nature of employment, salary paid and whether position is temporary or permanent.

So far we were only able to get basic bank account summaries which state amount in the last 12 months and current balance at the time the information was pulled, and my fiancees employer said they would not provide a statement, and referred her to some place called "The Work Number" which basically has her history of employment. This information includes hire date, company name + address, job title, base pay rate and breakdown of pay recieved from employer. Are both of these sufficient, or do we specifically require a written statement from a bank officer or employer. and nothing else will be accepted?

2. I also have bank statements of my income which easily show that I would be able so support myself + my fiancee, I have figures in savings which are in excess of $40,000 (Quite a bit in excess of that amount in fact, enough to show we would be sitting above the poverty line in terms of accessible funds). Am I not able to provide information from my bank to verify this?

3. The I-134 requires a signature, of course. The PDF form that was emailed to me with my interview day check-list has an option at the bottom to attach a digital signature, which records time/date it was added, email address, time zone and my fiancees typed name. Seeing as the form even has this option added to it, is this sufficient or does it need to be specifically signed by hand? The instructions state the following only regarding this:

"You must sign Form I-134 in your full name... it is not necessary to sign Form I-134 before a notary, nor to have your signature notarized after you sign it."

"Type or print legibly in black ink"

I have attached a blank copy of the form I was emailed just to show what I mean by digital signature, incase this is not understood.

ChinaMarriage Certificate has a mistake

Hey Darnell. Your advice has been duly noted, believe me.

ChinaMarriage Certificate has a mistake

I know that telling the truth is simply what I'll have to do if this indeed becomes an issue. What I'm torn about is whether I should do it upfront, before I'm  asked, or wait and see if it even becomes an issue before I say something.

pangzi53Not TellingChina2013-11-05 00:54:00
ChinaMarriage Certificate has a mistake

I'll try to keep this short because I don't want to betray too many details. I'm in the process of filing an I-130 for my Chinese wife. We were actually married in Hong Kong and not on the mainland. We took a lengthy bus trip to HK  to register the marriage and when we were about 70% there I suddenly realized I'd forgotten to bring my divorce papers with me. We  were panic-stricken and not sure what to do. We made a, in hindsight, rash decision to say I'd never been married before. What we were not aware of is that a Hong Kong marriage certificate is a rather simple document. However, there is a line that says "Marital condition before marriage" and for me it says "bachelor" which means I've never been married before. Neither of us had any idea that a HK marriage certificate had this feature and figured saying I was never married wouldn't matter because the certificate itself would be the same regardless and the marriage was "legal" in that even though I may have stated I was never married I WAS, after all, legally divorced and my wife was completely aware of this previous marriage and there was therefore no intent to deceive her.   I have no intention of lying on my wife's application but I'm not quite sure how to handle this.  If/when I am asked, "Why does your marriage certificate say you were never married before?" should I just come clean with the truth? Is there any possibility that this won't be noticed? Please don't lecture or judge me. I'm literally worried sick over this and just need practical advice as to how to deal this problem.

-pozivno pismo, odnosno paket 4 kojim ti potvrdjuju datum intervjua

-vazeci pasos

-2 fotografije kao za pasos

- I-134

Do sledeceg kuckanja ;)

Uh smor,to zauzima puno mesta bas :/

Blago tebi, meni najvise treba zimske garderobe.
