K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2012 filers	And so here I am again! Thanks for all the best wishes again, I got my visa today!     I still can't believe it. It's still in my head that we started this process with shaking legs in September. I was so scared back then that it will not happen. Now I literally look like and feel like s***. I am so exhausted... Stress is never good for our health. I can feel that again and again.   So the interview: I spent exactly 60 minutes at the Embassy. My appointment was at 10:00, arrived at 9:45 and came out at 10:45. They check everything in your bags. I had to leave a musical post card that I got for my birthday at the security point. Of course  they took my phone and I was allowed to bring in my water only if I drink from it in front of him.   Then inside I got a number and waited to be called. I was called exactly at 10. A Hungarian lady took all my papers. Accidentally the reader on the computer didn't want to read my passport photo. She tried for a couple of minutes, then it worked. Phew.. Then I had to pay for the remaining 80 bucks (I had already paid for 160 at the bank, next to the Embassy as instructed.) Then I waited approx. 10-15 minutes and the vice-consul called me for the interview. I am 28 years old and she is about 5-6 years older than me So it was quite a friendly conversation. It seemed to me that she asked a lot of questions but they were not painful at all. She typed everything in that I said. It wasn't longer than 10 mins, I guess.    Questions: How long have we been together? When and where did we meet? When was our first date? When was the engagement? What does he do for a living? What's my profession? What do I plan to do in the US for a living? Have I ever been in the US before? Have we ever been married? When do I plan to relocate?   I could have picked up the visa if the reader had read my picture .. So I have to go back tomorrow. But what can we do? At least I am done     Congratulations !!! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2012 filers	What a pain.   How about an affidavit from a friend saying that they saw you two  TOGETHER in the States. I hope you get your NOA2 soon.   We will send them a lot of papers and more pictures. I think they only want to see evidence that I legally entered the United States. They wrote they need that kind of that evidence (admission stamps and boarding passes), then deposits and statements from bank account, copy of my SSN card, my pay checks... Then pay checks of my fiancee, Employment Statement that my fiancee was working in the same city where I was. Conclusion that we were in the same time in America. I hope it will be enough... They are requiring to provide a proof that we met in the period prior sending papers. However, we did send pictures taken during that period. We already sent SSN number I got when I was in US. Practicly they are asking for a proof that I was in US. Luckily for us I saved boarding passes and other things needed for this RFE. I hope we get our NOA2 soon, good luck to everyone ! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	September 2012 filers	Hey everyone I wanted to post this here, but feel free to pass along to other threads. After hearing all of the "hub-bub" about Dream Act petitions getting preference, adjudication officers being "pulled" from other areas for processing, CSC not processing anything, etc., etc., etc.. Even my own failed attempts to call the CSC and receiving conflicting and nonsense information. One sweet girl, obviously misunderstanding something, told me that the service centers count the first month of the process as zero month.. Huh??? I asked her if the IRS would let me have a zero month.. So I wrote both my Senator and Congressman. Wanted to "get it from the horses mouth" so to speak. Anyway, today I received a call and received what I would call reliable information (my Senators Immigration Specialist). So.. here it is.. 1) CSC and VSC are processing as quickly as possible. No adjudication officers were "pulled" from processing K1 or other areas to process Dream Act petitions. Rather more adjudication officers were "brought in" from other resources. 2) Expect 5 to 7 months in the processing time. Typically no less and "hopefully" no longer. But at the end of a "full" 5 months contact someone to find out your status.. (i.e., CSC, VSC, Senator, Congressman, God.. LOL) 3) This puts Sept K1's at Mid February or March for NOA2. So we should be expecting notifications sometime around that time. 4) As always read everything thoroughly and "with a grain of salt".. even what I am telling you... check it out thoroughly and for everyone's benefit don't push propaganda or false information. I sure hope this helps OR at minimum puts minds to rest knowing that the machine - be it slower than anyone wants - is still functioning. As always... GOOD LUCK!! Kind of screws the 5 month estimation... I hate waiting especially since there is no communication. Anyway hoping for March?? Maybe be there for International Women's Day! Yes,they are processing middle of July. There are less number of cases in August and September than July, so I'm hoping that there will be more approved number of cases soon... There's only been 2 in January and a handful in December. I wonder if there is anything unusual going on there or it is just happenstance. Yes, I noticed that also. I hope that they will be faster... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	My lawyer wants $600 for ONE email to NVC	Hello, i am waiting my CR2 process which is delayed so I asked my lawyer to send an email to NVC  for more information about my visa then she sent the email...   and now she is charging $600 for this email    i would like to know if this is normal in America    my father's wife said that she charges $250 for a 30 minutes conversation   and we have already paid $9000 for her to fill out our process        That's not normal...fire your lawyer... Lol I have been through that 1-2 hours wait lol last week when I was asking about my expedite result and it's always good to talk to tier 2 rather than wasting time with the tier 1. I also got 2 NAO1's and they were exactly the same and had come on the same day. Maybe it's to put one in the package? Or maybe to be sure we get one? I never did ask. I figured I'd just give one to my fiance for his folder during the interview. Never thought on it much! Let me know what they say about receiving 2! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	August 2012 fillers only	I was told via a phone call that they assigned my fiance an alien number because he did not have one before applying for the I-129F Visa. They said it's just assigned because he is applying to come over and it is to keep track. His wasn't on my NAO1 but they might put it on the NAO2? Haven't gotten that far yet! Also, they has some glitches in the system this last month and you may need to call and make sure it was assigned correctly. Luckily mine didn't glith! The waiting time to talk to 2nd level of services was 1 1/2 hours so plug your phone in, put it on speaker and stay withing earshot Some people were told they had numbers assigned or changed but it was the computer glitch. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Support thread for parents & children waiting for k-1	I can relate! Ours is 3 as of February and she's a tornado! Daycare alone while I went through school was(still is) over $800 a month. The kids get medical but as for me and any other assistance, it's a no-go. The process is starting to get to me as well but all you can do is pray and hope you see that update when you check USCIS for the 100th time that day. I'm hoping he's here before I have to start paying student loans back this year so I can at least save on daycare. I have high hopes, though. The waiting time between visits have been just as long. Thank you for the responses!   It does say, 'Submit information regarding the circumstances under which the petitioner and beneficiary met to establish the relationship.' I am okay with that one. I only explained the meetings within the last 2 years. The question didn't ask about establishing a relationship on the original I-129F. I can whip that up for them easy-peasy!   I told the fiance to e-mail me credit card statements to print out and I will highlight the dates and places on them. He scanned all of his passport pages and will e-mail them to me as well so I can print and send them. I think I may be okay now. Moment of panic!!! Lol! I just felt we sent so many things that the answer would be so much more complicated! It seems easy now that I see the answers you've given me Sometimes it's the reassurance that makes it feel better to move forward.   He is calling banks tomorrow to get copies mailed/e-mailed to him to get to me.   These letters are so intimidating! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	RFE? Already supplied but they want more?	So we just got our hard copy of our RFE. They are asking for circumstances under which we met and established our relationship.No big deal. The form didn't specify so I explained each meeting of the previous 2 years. I wasn't (and they weren't) really clear. Easy fix   The thing that is making us worried is that we have supplied photos of us at each meeting, flight receipts that were only given to us via e-mail and itineraries. We have only 2 pictures of us together where they were time-stamped by the camera. I happen to do photography and I removed my time stamping feature long ago so editing them out later wouldn't be an issue. The 2 with stamps were from my fiance's camera that had been set aside so we could use my better camera. We have almost no photos of us together because we had no one to take pictures of us let alone with time-stamping. We took engagement pictures but again, no time-stamp. They are asking for more to prove we have met and I am scared we may not have what we need! Help! How can we prove it any more than we have! I'm scared >.<   Any suggestions? Miracles?   We can't print out actual receipts for a our flights because they are all e-mailed confirmations and we would print them but they have been removed from the place we booked online.
