K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	My RFE - Wants more evidence	michellek, I think the same as you - a lot depends on the person who processes the petition. And how the evidence that is presented strikes them. For the most basic items of evidence - e.g. boarding passes, entry and exit stamps in a passport - the 2nd variable is minimized. A boarding pass is a boarding pass, one's the same as another - date and points of departure and arrival. Start getting into other types of evidence and more information is introduced, more things for the officer to reflect on. Another thought comes to mind about what could generate an RFE for additional proof of having met - the description of the circumstances of meeting. An elaborate description could give a case officer all sorts of ideas about things to have confirmed. Yodrak I bet high fraud visa countries have a higher RFE rate if we checked... I sent the bare minimum & got approved. I'll bet you're right, as noted in another thread my petition was 70 pages, I thought I sent EVERYTHING but alas, I await my RFE... I am going to be on a visitor visa (B1-B2) at the time of the wedding. Do I have to get a K-1 visa if I am already within the US or is there any other way that I can get a Permanent Resicency. NC recognizes ordained ministers, but is it legal enough for visa requirements??? Thanks Do you have a marriage certificate and license? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Question...	You can create portfolio without a receipt number, but you wont be able to use it. If you paid by check and can access your banking information online, watch for the check to be cashed then look on the back of the check image. Your receipt number will be there. Since you are going through CSC it will begin with WACxxxxxxxxxx (and ten digits) or wait for NOA1 and the number will be there. NOA1 could take a month to reach your mailbox. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Help...need advice Plzzzz	Hi all: I am new to this forum so I would truly appreciate a bit of advice. I filed my 129F on September 21. Just "today" I realized that I did not submit 4 of the G325A bio documents. I just submitted one for my fiance and one for me. I was unaware of this site but also missed it when going over the instructions. Thus, my question: Can I/should I make 3 copies of each and send them in now??? I will not have her original signature, though. OR, should I wait til I make my next trip to Colombia and have her sign 3 more and then send them in? I will see her November 10, 2006. My package has not been touched since the CSC received it on September 21, 2006. PLEASE let me know. In reading past posts, I note that at least one person failed to send all 4 copies but nonetheless he never received a RFE and was approved. What should I do??? Thanks so much. GM Welcome to VJ! I would not recommend sending the extra copies in - just wait for CSC to take the next step. You can try searching this forum for threads about the G325A, but as I recall, I had read at least one person saying that was all he sent in (1 copy each) and he got an approval. The worst would be that you would received an RFE. While waiting for CSC, you might want your fiancee to sign the forms and mail them to you in case they ask for them. This site might seem undaunting at first, but there is a wealth of info here and the search tool is good, although it takes a few tries to know what's the best settings. Good luck on your journey! I have a trip scheduled february 07. 3. The *informal* wedding is scheduled august 07 I cannot change those dates. Is it possible for me to bring my wife home in august 07? Could I start the paperwork now? Comments or suggestions would be great! You can gather documents but you cannot file until you can meet the requirement of having met within the past two years, it is possiblethat you could bring her home in August but I would not BET on it to be safe. I havent got my NOA1 in the mail yet but I got the copy of the cashed check and got my case number off the back,*Thanks to whoever posted that tip about getting it off the check dont remember who it was but big ty!* Now heres my question. I went to the gov site and registered with my case and email, and when I look at my case all it says is: Current Status: Your I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was received on November 3, 2006. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates. So when you get *touched* what does it say and does it show it on the same page? And is this my NOA1? or will it actually say NOA1 when I have reached that? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	divorce documents for k-1 visa	My fiancee is a divorcee and he told me that he can obtain a document called "the sentence of divorce" but he cannot obtain the "act of divorce" because that office has been closed (due to civil unrest) for over a month. We are anxious to begin the process and are wondering if the "sentence" is sufficient or if we have to continue to wait for the "act." I gotta admit that I'm not exactly sure what the difference is but I have a bad feeling that we have to wait for the act. Does anybody know if that's true? Thank you! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Ready to start I-129F for fiancee in VN	Hi, I am ready to start my I-129F petition and I have a few questions: 1) At the top part of the form where I am to fill-in her name and address, should I use the Vietnamese accent marks? Or should I not use them and then write it properly with accent marks in part 16 (where it says to do it using the native alphabet if not using Roman letters)? But Vietnamese does use Roman letters, it just has a few extra accent marks, right? A little confusing! 2) As far as the photos of us goes, should we use the 3/4 frontal view as described in the I-129F instructions? I saw a website which claimed that they stopped using those and went back to a full frontal passport photo, but that website was 2-3 years old. Did they go back to using the 3/4 format again, or do the I-129F instructions contain incorrect, unupdated information? Thank you very much! PS: I went through this whole process back in 2002 for a girl in Thailand, and she came to the US but we never married. Hopefully it won't affect me from getting a K-1 visa for my new Vietnamese fiancee... And the process differences between Thailand and Vietnam may be a little different, so I want to make sure I do it properly. 1. We used accents on our form (for my last name), on the NOA1 my last name was printed without the accent, though. I don't think this will cause any trouble. 2. Passport photos, full frontal, with the ears showing (I don't know why, but it seems to be very important to show your ears...) You will be notified every time when someone is working on your file. Vik Not exactly, you will be notified when the status changes.
